[Read my profile so you understand how I operate as Dungeoneer]
While laying in bed last night watching some 'Sons of Anarchy' I started conjuring up another campaign and began mapping out its course. 'Book From the Thirteenth Sea' will be a tale of a group from a multitude of different backgrounds[whatever you guys obviously source your character from] that venture forth in search of this famed Thirteenth Sea. I'm not going to go into global development to explain the prior twelve, but I'll say this much that Four of Fifteen aren't charted, one of which being the Thirteenth. As a starting point for this campaign will be a famous Porter town where every dream is said to come true so believe that there is quite some wealth circulating here.
The group will come into contact with a beggar, or maybe even overhearing the cries of a dying beggar that speaks of this 'Thirteenth Sea'. The members of this group find interest in it and of course want to venture out in search of this sea for (Enter your own reason). I'm not going to write any spoilers here, with the exception of how the group will acquire their ship. The beggar is in possession of a particular item of underground interest: The Book From The Thirteenth Sea, itself. Which will pass for a ticket onto a ship that'll be written in for the group to board. (Don't worry. I gotcha). The beggar will hand over the book with a dying request that his/her last wish be fulfilled. Prove that the Thirteenth Sea exists!
Now. Water is usually impossible to distinguish from one another with the exception of region and this phenomenon. So expect some 'things' during your voyage.
Still reading? Alright. I like you already.
I only have one rule when it comes to the characters that participate in my ventures! Don't bring in your god-like characters. I'm talking about that ones that can pull a Moses and part the red sea with an earth-bound jut of a stick or bring down a hail of dimension debris to destroy the known world. Please? I have a campaign for those characters, but because of its magnitude it's still in development in one of my notepads. I can't just go out in a whim with that sort of stuff and 'hope' it'd work. SO! Mild-to-Moderate-Power characters or Lesser.
Have a character you'd like to join in? Comment below with a link or as the character of interest or send me a PM with any of the previous. If you do choose to comment on this thread with intentions on joining please do so with a Dice Roll of 1 Roll with 100 Sides No Modifiers. Do this once as it will determine post-order after the thread has been created.
Do you post in massive lengths? That's fine.
Do you post sole paragraphs? That's fine too.
Understand that I am just a Dungeoneer here. I don't have a legitimate character you can continually refer to with the exception of a few Key NPCs I might bring in. That's a tickle at those of you familiar with The Gentleman, The Butler and The Lady
There WILL be Dice usage in this campaign. Trust me. It helps a lot when it comes to being fair in situations on both sides from me to you and you to me. There is something I do like to do when it comes to these dice rolls is add a few modifiers based on the situation. These are in no way biased for the NPC to gain the upper-hand every time, but if you were to for some reason move your character into some preposterous position while in combat and expect there to not be a vantage for the NPC expect a small modifier of either (+) or (-). I won't set it up for a (+) on the NPC and a (-) to the player. That's not fair in the slightest and I try to keep EVERY. SINGLE. POST. Fun to read and even more fun to respond to.
Can you fail this quest? Yes.
Even though the group 'can' fail the quest does not mean they will be killed. In fact, I will NEVER/EVER/NOPE/NADA/NU-UH/NEVER-EVER/FOREVER-NEVER force a death upon a character. Any deaths that I've ever had to write in were discussed prior. If you are going to be taking a leave of absence from the campaign please, please, please let me know so I can write your character out temporarily. There will always be an opening thereafter for re-entry.
The campaign already started and I sort of just stumbled upon this and would like to join, can I? Yes, but there may be a delay in when I can place in an additional member to the group.
See above character listings for reference to preferred post order from Top to Bottom
If for whatever reason you would like this campaign to be a canon for your character you're free to do so. If there are some preferences you have to fit your character like some alterations, please let me know! I would be honored to help you in your character development through use of this story!

By all means. Nothing wrong with having some past members accompany on a second venture!
Awesome! This is Aranel btw. I'ma do the roll now! I'm trying to get some more peeps into it, so here's hoping! I'll send some PMs with this forum thread n' junk. I had a lot of fun in the last one and would loooove to do it again.
I suggest making a group sometime! You're a wonderful DM and it may be good for those with violence-heavy or cursing-heavy characters ;u;. No pressure though! It was just as wonderful in the Forums .

rolled 1d100 and got 1
Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! If you'll have me I'd love to join in! I had a ton of fun with the last one, and with you leading things I'm sure this one will be one blast of a game I don't want to miss!
OOPS A ROLL
rolled 1d2 and got a natural 1. After the modifier of +1, got 2
How not to botch rolls
xD Roll one more time. Need a 100 sided Die. I'll add your name to the roster though. I'm curious about this Lizard of your's.
I'll also start making the Introductory post to get the ball rolling.
[Note for the Forth person. If there's a forth person wanting to join in I can work you in at any point in time, but just be very mindful that once I progress to where the ship leaves, I'll need to discuss your entry into the Campaign]

The morning has never been earlier, than the afternoon today.
But! I am very interested in joining yet another adventure! My own has gained little notice, so I am free to play as much as I wish. I am also curious as to whether a pair of characters can be submitted, as I am certain that others would wish for me to throw in others, besides Crow ( it gives me such a cruel delight to so). Should it be possible, I would love to introduce the man named Bakir, and Narla to a few others! Maybe, should the DM will it, more of the cast can appear, in short sections.
The Sand Rats

After going over the names I'm kinda awe struck at how many campaigners from the previous voyage have volunteered for this harold of a quest! Glad to have each and every one of you on board
Also. Miss. If you would like to bring Crow back then by all means, but for some new flavor for it all I'd prefer just Bakir and Narla. (Kind of amused at Miss' high rolling as the only double-digits I have to look over. Lol.) I'm re-working the first thread post to explain the preferred post orders. Of course as we go along those post orders won't mean too much when things get a little crazy, cleaved and hocked!

Crow is not an official member of the Sand Rats, as she will not allow herself to be tied to anyone's group or affiliation. But if she does show up, it will only be within an opportune glance. I do not think that she will, though, but I do not know, as the story is still young.
I will also have to find Bakir's and Narla's descriptions, for they are now active.
Edit: Their descriptions are up! And my dice rolling is very good, because I practice. Pathfinder is my supplementary for medieval fantasy.

May I join with this character or is he too much?

Gimme a bit. Analyzing everything to make sure this won't upset any balances in place currently.
