Evvie pushed back a couple blades of grass to get a better look at the human children who played in the park not far from the woods. She smiled as they swigged off of the monkey bars and ran around chasing one another. She started to creep up to the playground, hoping to get a better look at them. Before she knew it, she heard stomping from behind and turned to see one of them running towards her, oblivious that she was there. Her eyes widened in terror of being squashed and flew away quickly. If she had been more focused on what was in front of her she would have seen that a tree branch stood in her path. By the time she turned around it was too late. She crashed into it with full forced and fell to the ground, landing in the soft dirt under her with a thud. She laid there motionless and covered in dirt, completely unknown to the kids who played a few feet off.

Rika sat under the tree writing in her journal when she saw something fall out of the corner of her eye. Looking down at the ground next to her, sue saw a small figure lying on the ground, covered in dirt. "A fairy. Poor girl, better get her cleaned up and put her somewhere safe." Carefully rika cupped the small figure in her hands and ran to her house. There she washed her off and put her on a pillow covered by a small comforter she got from an old doll house her mother owned.

Evvie sat up in a daze. The world spun around her before her eyes focused on the room. She felt something fluffy underneath her. When her sight finally came back, her eyes widened to find that she was in a humans house. She immediately started to fly around the room looking for an exit. Her chest clenched when she found no way out but a door that she could not open and a closed window.

Rika walked back in the room with a plate of food and saw evvie flying around. "Oh good, you're up miss fairy. I'm sorry if waking up in this environment is odd, but I didn't want to leave you there on the ground with those kids running around."

Evvie heard the childs voice and pinned herself against the corner of the wall. She closed her eyes and suddenly become a bright light, so that the child could not see her.

Rika covered her eyes from the light, then backed away a little bit. "Its okay, I'm not going to hurt you miss fairy."

Evvie hesitated for a moment, then dimmed her light. "Miss... fairy?" She echoed, curiously looking at the girl.

Rika took her hands off of her eyes and nodded, smiling. "You are a miss, aren't you? I don't know your name so that's why I call you that, miss fairy."

Evvie flew down to the bed, hovering over the sheets. "Who... are you?" She asked, keeping a distance between her and the child.

"I'm rika furude, miss. I'm a mage, but I'm not old enough to travel on my own. At least in my moms opinion. What's your name, ma'am?" Rika put The plate on the bed and backed away from the bed to make sure she didn't make the fairy uncomfortable.

"I'm Evvie." she looked at her "A mage..." Evvie trailed off as she flew down to the food. "This doesn't... have salt in it, does it?" She asked looking over the food.

Rika shook her head no. "Why? Are you allergic to salt?"

"Its... a fairy thing." Evvie said as she picked up a small part of the food and started to eat it. "Thank you for the meal."

"You're welcome!" Rika smiled and sat on the floor. "So how did you end up on the ground, miss evvie?"

Evvie sighed. "I was almost stepped on, and when I tried to fly away, I didn't look where I was going." She said then took another but of the food.

"That's terrible! I'm glad I found you when I did. Who knows what those kids might've done to you if they had found you?" Rika sat fiddling with a small bell sue found on The floor.

Evvie shuttered at the thought. "Its my fault, I was too careless." She sighed, putting down the food.

"Think about it this way. I've read a little bit on fairies so I knew how to wash you off without damaging your beautiful wings." Rika tossed the bell into the air and caught it.
