(For the sake of compromise and my own curiosity, this is a mix of modern and fantasy. Anything modern can meet anything past influenced. Sound good?)

The door creaked open and Shita shuffled through, her body leaning heavily against the wooden frame as she clicked it shut again. The girl sagged to the floor with a deep sigh, paying little to no heed to anyone who might still be awake in the Inn's commonroom. Around her shoulders was a medium weight jacket, damp from morning dew, and her arms wrapped around loose traveling pants so that she may rest her head on both knees. Little glass jars at her hips clinked together, and the sack she kept with her slumped just as miserably as she did.

"Another dead end" she mumbled into the cloth. The teenager had been set up in this Inn for a little over three weeks now. Most bar tenders on shifts knew her by name, and she paid days in advanced every so often. There were suppose to be a lot of good leads here, people telling stories that sounded exactly like what she was looking for, but one by one each fell through. She might have to leave soon.
Shita also paid little heed to anyone who might wish to now enter the Inn for a morning's stay.

(Sure thing.)

Soon, the doors opened up once more with a mysterious figure walking straight into the inn. The white hair brighten against the light, seeming to be a bit damp. His grey eyes was covered by the strands of his hair that swayed in his face. The figure clothing consisted of a light, black jacket, brown shirt and black jeans, and hidden around his pants, a dual pair of pistols was resting. Hidden in the barrel of the gun was a glass barrel with a blue compound inside. Beneath the dual guns laid two daggers resting next to short sword. His face was pale, visible of scars from the adventures before. Looking around the inn, he took his jacket off and laid down somewhere, with his arms patched out with bandages all around. Looking around to see if anyone was awake or even there. He laid against the wall, the man's eyes intently looking around, a bit silent. "Well, that wasn't worth the trouble." He whispered to himself before letting out a sigh, not bothering much to take another look around.

The door opened, taking away the support at Shita's back. She gave a small squeak and fell backwards just as the stranger trodd past her and further into the Inn. She gaped in shock as he looked everywhere but at her, laying the jacket aside. Once she shock of finding herself flat on her back wore off her normal temperament flared to life. She shook off her depression, bounced to her feet, and face the man with both fists clenched tight.

"Whats the big idea, just barging into a place huh?" She didn't exactly .say. the words 'hey you!', but her tone implied that she might as well have.

He'd finally look behind him, seeing the teen with her fist clenched tightly. Turning with a brow raised slightly, he wanted to question, but he soon realize she was laying on the door and he must of accidentally pushed out of the way. Soon a though came into his head. "What do you want?" He said the girl with a darker tone, his look would give off a bit of a glare. Letting his hands rest in his pockets now.

"I want an apology," she snapped, both hands now placed offensively on her hips. Of course never mind that she was the one sitting with her back against the door to begin with, and that had she sat in a chair like a normal person the entire situation would have been avoided. As she stood there, anger pouring through her entire body, she began to take stock of just what this guy looked like.

Bandages.
Scars.
Decent build.
Scary glare.

She paused, her anger momentarily forgotten, "Are you a soldier?" She asked, speaking as if she weren't yelling a moment ago.

"No, I'm not. I'm an adventurer, I travel far and wide just for my entertainment. At the same time, I have skills of soldiers throughout my travels." His glare didn't lift much at all during his little ramble. His eyes didn't even move away from the teen. "And about that apology, I believe you owe that to me." He stood still, not even a glimpse of movement came from him. Keeping his attitude mysterious as possible to see if he'll lure in his bait.

Not a solider. She sighed and waved his response away.

"I don't care if you have the abilities. And you should watch where you open doors." she snapped irritably. But the exhaustion was back, he wouldn't be able to help her either. Done with him now, the teenager picked up her packs and walked over to the nearest table. The same one he had put down the jacket, and slunk into it. Her head hit the table with a dull *thud*, and a strange, small clank sounded. The pendant around her neck had slipped out of her jacket and shirt to rest just under her head on the table.

"You'd be a bad guy soldier anyway I bet. No way you'd have met him." She flicked her wrist his way in a dismissive 'you may go now' manner.

"Oh, you'd think so?" He went to her table and sat down on the other side. "And who's this "he" you mention about then?" Laying his hand against his fist, he look down at the girl's pendent. A bit curious, but the curiosity would of left soon afterward. "It seems to me your looking for someone, and if that the case. I think I would like to help, or are you on a no help policy?" He kept a straight face as he said this.

There was a pause as if she had fallen asleep. Then slowly, very slowly, her brown eyes peaked up at him slowly. "I'm looking for a soldier. A specific one, and one of the good guys. He's been gone..." She paused, "A while.." The girl sat up and re-tucked her necklace in. It wasn't much to look at, just a small glass vial clogged with a cork. Thick red liquid rested inside.

She reached down to one of the bottles at her side, uncorked the one with dirt in it, then dumped the dirt on the table in front of them both.

"Here look, this is what he looks like."

She closed her eyes and waved her hand, palm down, over the dirt. Her process was slow, the hand hovering there a few seconds nearly touching the small grains of earth. When she raised her hand into the air, some of the earth follow. Shita held her breath, closed her fingers into a fist, then blew out over her project. The earth began to reconstruct itself, shifting this way and that, spiraling up to touch the fist, then down again to take the shape of a young man. The figure was detailed from the folds in his clothing to the fibers in his hair. Around his neck, too, was a necklace much like Shita's though lacking the liquid. His eyes were deep set, serious, and he stood erect.

"Have you seen him?" She gasped, looking at the stranger with hope-filled naive eyes.

He was interested in the display of magic shown to his eyes before taking a good look of the figure, letting his memories of his adventures flow through. Yet, he couldn't remember the soldier at all. "Sorry, I haven't seen this man at all during my travels." He though to himself for a moment as he looked at the figure in front of him. "If you want...we could go search for him. Under one condition, of course...This isn't going to be some ask around town thing and hand papers....That'll get you no where, but tiny clues. How about we find the soldier roster and find where he station...This is going to be an exploration, search and rescue, what ever you want to call it." He gave off his smirk once more to the teen. "If he not anywhere near by then get ready a long search, well long for me at least."

"He isn't in the soldier roster. I've looked." Her eyes shone with excitement as Shita inched closer to him, bringing one hand up into a mock whisper. The figure between them returned to a pile of dirt once her attention left it.

"I don't even think he's on this world." Her secret worry coming to light, the girl lurched backwards, both arms clenched against the side of the table.

"Wait. Why would you help me? You don't even know me!"

He smirk drew on his face. "Well, he not from this world?...What if I told you..I wasn't from this world either." He leaned an inch closer to her now, mocking the same whisper she did. "Because, I want to see this other world." Then to lean back against the chair, he spoke. "So...What do you say, let me join you to find this person? Two heads are better then one they say."

She eyed him suspiciously, not believing he just wanted to travel with a stranger for no reason. This guy had to want something. But..even so...it was lonely to travel alone.

"It wont be easy," She warned, "He doesn't show up on any rosters, but he's a soldier I know it." Its the only thing that would make him leave.. she thought.

"And don't expect me to take care of you either! I make my own money during travels, and I'll expect you to do the same." As she spoke the girl nudged the bits of dirt and earth back into it's glass vial and clicked it back into place at the waist.

"And I don't know how to travel to different worlds, so, that would be on you too."

"Splendid, and don't worry. I have plenty of money, how ever, I can not travel through the different worlds with you. That..a special ability my people have." He stood with a smirk on his face, going over to slip his jacket from behind her. Slipping it back onto his body before looking at the teen. "Are you ready to go? Or do you need time to pack your things?" He walked towards the door before saying. "Oh...and don't try to escape from me, now that our fates entwined it'll stay that way til our adventure over..otherwise you'll never get rid of me. Ta ta~ Meet me here in four hours~" He left through the door, disappearing from there on.

(Can or can not? I'm a little confused. )

Shita just sat there, staring after him with her mouth slightly open. She hadn't come across anyone this abnormal since... "Since the necromancer.." The girl shuddered at the memory, one should would have been quite happy to forget. Then, with a sigh, she stood to collect her bag and retreated to the room she had previously purchased. Everything she owned or cared about were either on her person, or in her bag, the girl didn't care much for material possessions.

As she had no need to pack anything, and seriously doubted the guy would be returning, Shita slumped onto the bed and gazed upwards. "Intertwined huh? I've heard that before. A lie no doubt." She smirked, then closed her eyes to sleep.

Soon the teen would feel a flicking against her head, it somewhat firm, yet slow. "Hey...wake up...." The flicks would grow a bit faster for a moment. "It been four hours, are we going to go or not? Did you even pack?" He then stood a couple of feet away from her, waiting for her to awake. Having a bucket of cold water next to him in case the sleeping beauty didn't feel like waking up. Tapping his foot onto the ground in a bit of pace of anxiousness to explore.

At first Shita waved away the tickling inside her head grumpily. "G'way. I'm always packed."

Then her eyes shot open as she realized what was going on.

The strange guy was back, and he had spoken to her. In. Her. Head. She jumped off the bed and glared up at him angrily. "That. Don't do that. Outta my head. Never go in my head."

She insisted, fury vibrating through her body.

The man looked at her confused. "What are you talking about...I was flicking your head to way you up...not talking inside it..." He held the bucket ready in his hands in case the teen was still drowsy. His head was somewhat tilted to her little sublte out burst. "Well, are we ready to go? We don't want to miss any chances now do we?"
Turning around, he placed the bucket of water elsewhere before beginning to head out the door. Letting the sun light breach into the bar, and with that he took a step outside.

Still half asleep and grumbling, Shita followed him out of the tavern.

"Well, if you ever do decide to speak inside my head, .don't." She seemed a little more out of it than a person normally is when just waking up. Her thoughts were obviously elsewhere, but she had still managed to sling her pack over one shoulder and make sure each of the glass vials at her hip held it's proper bits and pieces. She had the earth one, which he would have seen a few hours earlier, but in addition were a few others. One had a small bit of water, another flint and steel, and one that seemed pretty much empty but was corked like the rest of them.

"Where are we going?" She murmured, rubbing one eye in sleepy irritation.

"Where are we going? I have no idea honesty, I though you were the one with the information." He turned with a smirk to the teen, keeping an eye on her gear in curiosity. Yet he knew he'd have a chance to see them in action soon enough. Soon the wind blow his jacket back somewhat to reveal a bit of his gear, two pistols with a question blue vile inserted where the bullets would of been held. With two daggers held next to the dual mysterious guns. "So..I hope you do know where should we go..Cause I have no idea where should we go next."
