I enjoy long-term semi-literate to literate RP with plots that are not set in stone. Though I find it to be my preference, I'm always open to going back to my roots with freestyle!
I mostly do romanceβthat's because I always seem to find myself doing 1x1's and they tend to lead to thatβand if we do a 1x1 together, there's a 99% chance I have romance in mind, but in groups, I'm usually not inclined to do romance at all.
I've been RPing for about 8 or 9 years and I've decided to join because I've been having a hard time finding people to RP with.
In general, I'm a pretty indecisive person and I go from being very expressive to being very blunt. I'm also a pretty slow response. I like reading (Insignia and The Malorum Gates are my favorites) and listening to music. My taste is pretty variable, but I gravitate towards rock and broody songs. I really like PokΓ©mon, TF2, Sea of Thieves, and No Straight Roads. My favorite color is green and I am really into Homestuck too.

Yay! Someone else who's slow to respond! I feel you on that. I have a work schedule that preoccupies most of my time, so it's hard to get around to them because exhaustion makes it difficult. But like you, I can be on fire with expression at times! Motivation is key.
I hope you find good one-on-ones though. There are a lot of folks around here with that preference. Groups are also prevalent, and I imagine if you fine-tune your search or advertise your characters, you might find something to your fancy!
RPR is a great place for all sorts of genres, so you'll have a lot to choose from, and the freedom to create just about any character you want. Have a good 'un!

Welcome to RPR, Flare! It's so wonderful to meet you! I am nonbinary too (librafluid), and I prefer long term literate RPs as well! I like a lot of plotting and collaboration but also prefer not to set things in stone because I like to go where the natural flow of the RP takes me and my RP partners, and sometimes the unpredictability can add to the fun! I don't like for romance to be the priority in any plot but do enjoy having romantic themes along with an interesting story. I am on the aromantic spectrum (demiromantic), but I am a romantic at heart regardless, and I love it in my RPs like I love it in my books, and movies, etc. You seem really cool! Feel free to DM me if you want a friendly chat. Maybe we can even plan an RP sometime (although I don't think I can take on anything new right now)! This is a really safe, respectful, and inclusive site, so I think you will settle in nicely and soon! π
