Neil scratched his chin in thought. "Well I know you can handle yourself in a fight from what you've previously said but I am handy in combat situations. And I'm not sure if you can heal your own wounds but I am also a medic of sorts. Although most people have called me more of a mad scientist."
Mihai leaned forward in his seat, lowering his voice to prevent unwanted eavesdropping.
"If I wanted extra baggage, I would buy a bag of potatoes at the market and walk around with it tied to my back. It pains me to be so forward with you, but unless you have coin, any desire you have of me accompanying you anywhere will remain wishful thinking."
He slowly re-adjusted himself in his seat, moistening his throat with another sip from his glass.

Neil grabbed a bag of coins at his belt and checked it. "Nothing but silver and bronze. I guess you were right. You have no use of me and its hard to travel with someone who doesn't want you around. Goodnight sir. Sorry for the trouble. And thanks for the wine." Neil got up and went back to the roof, leaving him alone.
Mihai lifted his voice slightly, letting it carry after Neil.
"Don't lose heart, Sir. I will be in town for the following two days, if it means all that much to you. And you are certainly welcome. Have a pleasant evening."
Mihai settled comfortably into his seat. He would be back, Mihai thought. If he wished for accompaniment as badly as he let on, he would be back. Mihai's attention was diverted from thought upon noticing a fresh set of eyes aimed in his direction. They belonged to a rather coarse-looking man, with a fair amount of muscle heaped upon his skeleton. He was probably a laborer of some sort, as his clothing was simple, and soiled with many spots and smears. This man rose from his seat and began to meander in Mihai's direction, prompting him to straighten his posture and make himself presentable the man that was presumably about to accost him in some form or fashion.

Neil sensed the energies of the people inside the inn, since he was bored and didn't have a good reason to go back inside. He could sense the man headed towards mihai and he decided to keep his ears peeled for any sound of a fight.
(Sorry, forgot it was my turn.)

"Another stranger, come to visit me. Aren't we sociable, this evening," Mihai smiled, as the brutish man arrived at his table.
"Is there anything I can help you with, Sir?" He asked, hiding his distaste for the man's appearance, attempting to ignore the filth on his clothing and skin in a polite manner. The man, however, wasn't as polite.
"You know, stranger," he rumbled, "mostly, the people that come to this place are workers and people that are down on their luck. You stick out like a sore thumb."
"I admit, I may be particularly noticeable this evening. These are just my traveling clothes, I'm afraid. I haven't had the chance to slip into something more fitting."
"You look like you're worth more than anyone in this room? What's a person like you doing in a place like this?"
Mihai made a condescending gesture to the wine bottle and glass, indicating that he was simply enjoying a delicious beverage. The brutish man, however, took exception to Mihai's attitude, and placed his hands firmly on the table top with a loud thump, a scowl spreading across his dull, stony face.

Neil sighed as he climbed down from the roof again onto the lower part of the stairs where he could see the man talking to mihai and he sat playing his guitar.
Mihai feigned a state of being taken aback.
"Ohhh," he began, his voice quite obviously quavering, "please don't hurt me, I didn't mean to offend."
The brutish man's scowl deepened upon being mocked, and opened his mouth to say something else. But, at that moment, all traces of Mihai's counterfeit fear evaporated, replaced with a smirk, a simple human expression, lent a bloodcurdling appearance by some hidden, otherworldly trait. Mihai locked eyes with the man that accosted him. A brief moment later, the pleasant atmosphere of the Inn was shattered when the brutish man screamed, catapulting himself away from Mihai's table as hard as he could, stumbling backward and falling down, knocking another table over in the process, and shattering several glasses and pieces of cookware.
He lay quaking on the floor for several seconds afterword, his face frozen as a mask of blind, primal terror, before he slowed, went quiet, and passed into a state of slumber in the midst of broken glass, crockery, and the very confused and angered stares of everyone in the Inn who had born witness to the sudden outburst.
Mihai sat at his table, looking slightly surprised.
"Oh, dear. I wonder what's gotten into him?"
