The woman is sitting at a desk writing away at a small journal, her purple cloak hanging on a bedpost. It's a relatively basic room. Desk, chair, bed, closet. Everything you need to feel...well like you're somewhere. It's really quite bland, the purple cloak being the only real splash of life. She's pretty engrossed in whatever she's writing, the candle she's using for light both highlighting and shading her features softly.
The creature watched quietly for a while as the woman wrote. His tail wagged as he waited. After some time, he climbed into the room and quietly approached her from behind. He started to sniff her hair and the licked the back of her neck.
Hey just making sure you know I'm not dead, I'll reply after work
No worries
She froze when she felt something touch the back of her neck, hand tightening and the tip of her quil leaving an ugly splat on the paper. Slowly turning, once the creature came into her sight she gave a small shout, stumbling back and falling onto the floor.
"How are you up here??"
"How are you up here??"
He gazed at her then turned to look at the open window then back at her. After a moment, he came forward and started to lick her face. His tail wagged back and forth.
She pushed his muzzle away and stood up, looking a little more panicked now.
"You can't be up here, if anyone finds you they'll kill you". Quickly, the woman locked her door and gazed out the window.
"Maybe if you run no one will notice.."

He cocked his head to the side as if a little confused. Perhaps it was that her perceived how nervous she was, or perhaps it was the earlier drama he had witnessed.
"Why did you even follow me??" She looks at the beast and then gestures at the window,
"shoo?" Maybe body language would work? The woman didn't work with many animals. Not like this anyway. Cats that hang out near the back of the tavern were more her speed.

The creature lowered his ears when he heard her say shoo. Then he slowly turned toward the window to head out.
