Chase held her back from the knife "no i'm not taking it away from you, i'm just setting it aside for now you don't need it 24/7 I promise you that" he said locking his arms around her arms

she stopped and she pouted "fine" she said in an angry way.

Chase released his lock and went to pat her on the shoulder "I'm sorry, but you'll get it when we go back out after a good while ok?" he asked

"your mean!" she said and she jumped off then bed and she ran out the room.

Chase got up from his bed and started running after her "wait!" he shout as he caught up to her before she made it to the stairs and grabbed her by the shoulders again "you can't go back outside, it's too dangerous" he said holding her there

she crossed her arms and she sat down "fine!" she said angry then she started to cry.

Chase picked her up and carried her back to the bedroom "taking care of a child was harder than I originally thought" he told himself setting her down onto the guest bed and rubbed the back of his head, he began rummaging through his old belongings looking for an item

"I want my daddy" she said and she put her hands over her eyes and she continued to cry

Chase paused for a moment before standing back up straight holding a stuffed bear in his hand and looked at her "i'm sorry" he said and placed the bear at her side then went to the nightstand taking the kitchen knife and placed it beside the bear

she looked at the bear and she smiled and hugged it tightly "my knife!" she yelled and she hugged the knife to. "I love my knife. thank you!"

Chase sat on his bed and a tear rolled down his face, but before it could reach his chin he wiped it away then turned to look at the picture of him with his niece on the nightstand

she put her knife down and she grabbed the bear and she went to chase "im sorry for getting mad at you"

Chase took a deep breathe and waved a hand at her "no, you had your reason to be" he looked down at the floor trying to get control of himself "I was just trying to play it safe, I guess you with that knife makes you feel comfortable I don't blame you" he said wiping his face off a bit more

"were you crying" she asked and she climbed onto the bed.

Chase nodded "I was, but it was nothing" he said and looked back up slowly his eyes a little red. He took a deep breathe "just get some rest, we'll figure more out tomorrow" he said slipped under his bed sheets

"can I sleep with you? I get nightmares" she said and she hugged the bear tighter

Chase nodded "I don't see why not" he said and scoot over making room for her

Idalia smiled and she crawled closer to chase and she got under the covers and she held the bear in her arms.

Chase promptly fell asleep beside Idalia feeling comfortable in the bed

Idalia smiled and fell asleep cuddling close to chase
