Chase walked over to the door and reached his hand out for Idalia to grab it "come on, otherwise I might leave you and get myself some ice cream" he said chuckling to himself

"what's ice cream?" she asked and she grabbed chase's hand. she started to shake a little because she was scared to go outside.

Chase thought for a moment to explain ice cream "it's a sweet frozen snack, it comes in different kinds of flavors" he said then as he went out the front door grabbed his hunting rifle and slung it around his back beginning to walk towards the town

"it sounds good" idalia said and she staid close to chase. "I wish I brought my knife" she mumbled

Chase nodded "you don't need your knife as long as i'm around" he said putting a hand on Idalia's shoulder and standing directly behind her walking with her

"ok, and whats that thing on you back?" she asked and she continued to walk.

Chase shook his head "nothing for you to be concerned with" he said looking to the edge of the woods and seeing the town just ahead

idalia stopped walking then she went behind chase and hid. "im scared" she said and she hugged chases leg

Chase grabbed Idalia and carried her "it'll be fine I promise" he said and walked out from the trees and began walking into the town

Idalia laid her head on chases shoulder. "do you promise no cops are going to shoot at me again?"

Chase nodded "I promise" he said then began looking around as he was walking in the market area of the town

Idalia smiled and she lifted her head from chases shoulder and she looked around.

Chase saw the little shop at the end of the street and walked inside "alright go find a seat, but make sure I can still see you ok?" he asked setting her down

"No!" Idalia said and she hugged chases leg.

Chase laughed a little and put a hand on her head "alright, fine" he said and walked up to the windows where the different flavors were and he picked up Idalia "here's where you choose your flavor, so I guess it was smart of you to not find a seat" he told her

Idalia giggled and she put her hands on on your shoulder. "Theres so many"

Chase began pointing to a few of the basic flavors "there's chocolate, strawberry and a few others but first you gotta choose the one you want" he told Idalia as he began craving some for himself

"Chocolate!" She said happily

Chase nodded and the man behind the counter took a scoop and placed it atop a small cone then placed it beside the register, Chase placed down a dollar bill and gave the chocolate ice cream cone to Idalia and walked out of the store

She took a lick of ice cream and her eyes widened "ice cream is so good! Want some?" She asked chase.
