“I’m afraid we’re getting in too far over our heads. It’s been too long since there hasn’t been danger in our own walls, which were supposed to be safe. And… well,” he sighed faintly, staring out the window at the dark sky, rain pouring down and leaving streaks across the glass. The man shocked his head, rubbing his dark blue eyes a bit, trying to ground himself in a situation that just seemed like a bottomless hole with no clear exit.
Behind him stood a younger girl with dark wavy hair, who looked at him inquisitively with green eyes, but she was concerned nonetheless. Anytime something like this happened and whenever he was so stressed, she just knew that there was something seriously wrong - or there would be something wrong soon. She had learned not only to trust her gut, but to trust his too.
In a soft voice, the girl mumbled, “I’m sorry,” trying to hold back tears that had been welling up for hours. “I didn’t mean to let him get past. I thought he was trustworthy. He didn’t seem like a bad guy - all he wanted was to live a better life than what he had. I-I didn’t know that he was working for Darklord.”
The words spilled out like the dam just broke, and tears rolled down her face, as it felt she was forcing herself to say this. Though she found herself between a rock and a hard place, because she knew the history that the people here liked to ignore when it came to anyone - even anti-heroes. Though he had been dormant for too long, and the young girl had thought it would stay this way. Though the words he had spoken to her in that fight still rang through her head and she didn’t know who to believe. Someone who had been through way too much and had to do whatever it took to survive, or the man who had trained her to become great like she was now?
When there was no reply from the other, nor a look of acknowledgment, the girl sniffed, trying to calm her hysterics. She backed out of the room, and once she had closed the office door, she booked it down the corridor, sobbing. Maybe she never should have gone on that mission after all.
This is a sci-fi action RP, taking place in the realm of Noctomor - which lives in a constant state of battle between good and evil (who is who depending on your outlook on the world). Silvia Ophidian, a young hero trained at FOSAN to become part of the highly esteemed group of Metanoia found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time - a mission she really never should have gone on but did anyway. There she met Emerson Taylor among a group of villains from Darklord's forces. He has never been labeled a villain - rather an anti-hero who picks up jobs for money. But after fighting with him, Silvia finds that she doesn't want to fight him at all, but rather help it. It just turns out that FOSAN wants nothing to do with the man who 'betrayed' them so long ago - especially Silvia's father-figure of Noctomor, and possibly the greatest name of Metanoia, Dr. Nocto (Jonathan Fox).
Silvia is at a crossroads - in her trusting Emerson, he had no choice but to hack into the FOSAN system, stealing information for the forces of Darklord, as it was his job. Silvia knows this. But no one else at FOSAN would like to take this for an answer.

Magic is common.

More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.
Romance is slightly desired, but the overall plot is more important.
Details: Occasional dice use, paragraphs required, long-term RP partner preferred. Will be played one-on-one.
