(This takes place when Viola is 24 and out of college.)

Viola decided that it was a good day to take a swim. It was her day off and most everyone was no where near the beach, or at least the part she was at. She was in a blue bikini and had a towel with her. Of course, she did plan on going swimming in her human form. She went ahead into the water and once she was in waist deep water, she ducked her head in the water and shifted into her normal mermaid form. She swam farther out into the ocean, close to the bottom. She swam about, seeing all the bright and colorful fish that there was to see. She was out there for hours on end, she loved it so much. She found it easy to make new friends with the marine life. When she was about to head back up, she ended up getting caught in the tide, which knocked her around. She kept trying to swim out of it, but only got pulled in deeper. Soon, she head hit her head against a rock wall and passed out. It wasn't long until the tide subsided and she ended up being pushed to the shore, but nothing could be seen past her waist so she looked to be just a normal girl with long black hair, though her skin held a slight, pale blue tint to it.

A young girl ran across the warm sand, a bright pink bikini covering what little cleavage she had. A golden locket hung from her neck with her name on it, Melody, in cursive lettering. Melody had been getting ready to go swimming herself when she saw a woman lying on the beach unconscious, her lower half still in the filthy top-water. Looking around, Melody grabbed her bag from its position between her shoulders and searched for her cell to call 9-1-1. "Where is it?" She mumbled, dumping the bag's contents on the sand. The bag held from sun block, a very fancy comb, a small tiara, a change of clothes, and her bright pink cell phone. "Finally!!" She cheered, oblivious to the face that she had no bars.

Viola began to wake up, she blinked her eyes a few times at the blazing sun in front of her face. She prompted herself up on her elbow, looking about her. As soon as her head was up, she felt a sharp pain in the back of her head and a dizziness faltering with her eye sight. "Ow." She mumbled, as her eyes began to focus and she spotted the young girl not far form her. She could tell the girl was young but had a phone in her hand. "Crap!" Viola thought, looking over at the ocean, wishing there was a way that she could get back in it and be hidden.

"Noooo." Melody moaned when she realized she had no bars, stuffing all her stuff back into her bag. She heard the woman's moan of pain (Lol couldn't of what else to call it) and looked up from her bag. "Oh, your awake!!" She said excitingly, slinging her bag back over her shoulder. "What happened?" She asked, sitting beside her in the sand with her necklace glinting in the sun.

Viola was thankful that the girl seem to not have any signal out here so she was saved this time. "I went into the deeper waters and ended up getting swept in a high tide. After awhile of being jostled around, I hit my head against a rock and guess I got beached." She said, glad to see that there still weren't a lot of people around so no one noticed the two girls. She had one hand on the back of her head, she could tell that she was bleeding but pushed it aside, it would heal in a few minutes.

"Ouchie" Melody mumbled, surprised that the woman could survive the tide that long. She noticed that the back of the woman's head was bleeding and gasped sharply. "Your bleeding!" She exclaimed, digging in her bag for something to apply pressure to the wound with. "You could have a concussion!" She panicked, finally finding her extra pair of pants and holding them out to her. "Here use this to stop the bleeding while I try to get a signal!" She added, grabbing her cell and running to the small cliff that they were sitting by.

"No wait!" Viola reached out to grab the girl but was a tad bit to slow. The bleeding had already stopped so she left the pants on the ground. She was able to reach her hand out and touch the water, which swirled up her arm and shoulder to the back of her head and healed the wound. She looked over to see the girl still trying to get signal, most likely so she took the chance to shift back into her human form. Once her legs were back and her long flowing black hair gone and down to her shoulders, she stood up, still wearing her blue bikini.

"I still can't-" Melody said turning around and seeing that the woman's head wasn't bleeding anymore and her hair was shorter. "What happened to your hair?" She asked, accidentally dropping her cell in the sand. She was surprised that the girl wasn't bleeding, but the shocker was that her hair was shorter and there wasn't anything sharp enough to cut it nearby.

Viola was none to happy about the girl noticing the change in hair length, but of course, it was hard not to notice. She looked up at the girl, not knowing on how to give a good lie on this one. Now was the time she wished she kept her long hair before, instead of cutting it all off like a fool.

Melody just stared at the woman until she noticed a small fish poke out of the water a little ways off shore. "Crap, I''m late again!!" She mumbled, glancing back at the woman. "Listen, I won't tell anyone about this..." She gestured at the woman's hair, "If you just walk away." She continued, glancing back at the fish. "Because I gotta go." Melody added, running over to the cliff and climbing up to the top.

Viola was actually surprised by that. "Uh.... okay." She said. She was surprised the girl didn't question the fact that she was perfectly dry as well. She just stared for a moment then shook her head. She looked back out at the ocean. She grabbed her towel and walked farther down on the beach.

Melody got to the top of the cliff and watched the woman walk away with her own stuff. Giving a sigh of relief, Melody set her bag down by a rock and hid it with some weeds so nobody would find it except her. Turning back to the edge of the cliff, She found a safe place that she could dive from. Glancing down at the beach on either side of her, she brought her arms over her head and dove into the sea.

Melody collided with the water with barely a splash, her legs forming a tail as soon as they hit the water. Laughing, she poked her head above the water and waved over the plump fish she had seen earlier. "Come on Sebastian!!" She called, turning over to float on her back.
(Lol, I got the idea of Melody from the little mermaid so why not have some of her friends. xD)

Viola decided that she was a safe distance away form the rocky cliff so that she didn't caught in the tide again. She dived back into the water, quickly shifting back into her mermaid form and swam back down to the ocean floor. She couldn't help it if there was another person around, she loved to go swimming and couldn't stay away form the water too long.

The small fish came over, it's red body easily recognizable in the dirty top-water. "Come on, lets go see my dad then go to seaweed forest." Melody said, diving beneath the water. She swam to the reef and waited up for Sebastian, oblivious to the fact that the woman was in the water again. They raced through the water, passing dolphins and other sea life, to the very bottom of the sea where a glow could be seen in the distance. "There it is." She mumbled,pausing to catch her breath.

Viola hadn't seen Melody, she was just swimming about peacefully. She had met up with some dolphins in the ocean, she swam over to them.
(Sorry, can't think of a lot. xD My sis was talking to me.)

Melody swam towards the glow in the distance and was soon greeted by the city of Atlantica. All the Merfolk that she passed bowed down to her with a short hello of "your highness".Melody rolled her eyes and kept swimming towards the palace, Sebastian following beside her. "I can't believe that all these people bow when I swim past, It gets on my nerves sometimes that I can't be a normal kid." She ranted, entering the castle after two guards opened the doors and bowed to her. "I mean it's like they are brainwashed!" She added with a smile as they reached the throne room, two more guards opening the doors and bowing.

Melody swam into the throne room without a backward glance and stopped in the middle of the room. "Grandfather." She said, bowing to the hulking figure on the throne. "Good afternoon Melody." He said with a smile, his long beard moving with his lips. He held his arms out inviting her in for a hug and she took it happily. "I have a special mission for you, Melody." He said, breaking the embrace. "Anything for the king of Atlantica, and my Grandfather." Melody said with another smile.

Her grandfather whispered the mission in her ear and she smiled in disbelief. "I thought they died out." Melody said with her hands on her hips now. "I did to, but there was one this morning caught in the tide." He replied handing her a small conch shell. "Blow the conch when you find it and we'll be able to find you as well." He added, dismissing her from the room. Caught in the tide? Melody mumbled to herself, wondering if the thing she had to find was the woman from earlier.

(Lol I got carried away. I have an Idea to keep the plot going???)

Viola had never met any other mermaid demons, besides her own father, who she hadn't seen in a year. She didn't even know if there were any other mermaids out there, she always hung around humans and has only met a witch once before. She saw nothing wrong with her for being part demon. A dolphin swam up behind her and poked her in the back, making her turn around and rub the dolphins head.

(Saying sorry ahead of time for any misspellings......)
Melody left Atlantica right after seeing her grandfather, her head filled with thoughts about the woman. "I didn't even find out her name!" She muttered aloud, swimming past the kelp forest. Sebastian followed close behind, giving encouraging pep talk ask they swam. "I mean, she could NOT be the thing I'm looking for anyway! She could be just a regular mundane that got caught in the tide for all I know!" She added, her voice rising with every word. Melody swam past a large rock structure that loomed above the ocean bottom, lost in thought. "How am I supposed to find her??" She practically screamed in the silent water, frightening fish all around her.

The dolphins had picked up on Melody's scream and swam over to her. Viola wondered what was the matter, but thought nothing of it and swam around some more. She had stumbled upon what looked like a eel caught by a large rock that must have fallen. She swam over to the eel and carefully removed the rock. The eel thanked her for that then swam away.

Melody swam right past the place where Viola was, absorbed in her own thoughts she headed for the part of the beach where she met the woman. The tide was kicking again and Melody struggled against it relentlessly, oblivious of the wall looking above her. There were no fish around this part and Melody had always wondered why.
