Melody raced off to the beach, arriving about twenty minutes later, and up to the cliff where her stuff still was. She took off the clothes she threw over her swimsuit and stuffed them into the bag, hiding it quickly in the weeds. Taking a running jump off the cliff, she broke through the water with barely a splash. Her legs turned into a fin as soon as they hit the water, the bottom of her bathing suit disappearing. She hurried towards the palace, going right over one of the trenches that held the demonic merpeople.
Viola continued to do her work.
Cassuis saw the little mermaid princess, Melody. He glared at her, clear that he was none to happy with her. Seeing as she swam over his trench, he had all rights to capture her and that was what he did. He sent some of his men out to quickly grab her, telling them that she had passed over their territory. Three demon mermen had surrounded Melody quickly, telling her that she needed to come with them.

"Wha-"Melody started to say when she saw the mermen, not knowing what she had done. The treaty had said that merfolk could pass over trenches without being held as long as the demonic merfolk weren't occupying the upper levels of the trench at the moment. Melody looked around in vain, trying to see if anyone was nearby. Atlantica was still a couple miles away, not even the glow of the city was visible yet. "Tell me why." She demanded, crossing her arms.
"You are not allowed to pass over the trenches while one of our own are occupying the top level, well, our king, Cassuis, had been occupying the top level while you passed and saw you. Come with us." The guard stated.
Melody crossed her arms but came along willingly, knowing that if she didn't bad things could happen. "Why was your king in the top levels, isn't that dangerous for him?" She asked, curious to know if they were lying or not.
"He was simply watching out for his daughter, trying to see if she was in the water or not without leaving the trench." The guard explained as they swam back to the trench.
"Mhm." Melody mumbled, trying to figure out a way to get out of this, so far no ideas had come to mind. She stayed silent while they went back to the trench, one sentence going through her mind. Mom, Dad, and Grandfather are going to kill me, if Cassuis doesn't first......
Once in the trench, the guards presented Melody to Cassuis, who was still on the upper level of the trench. He turned around to look at them and grinned, the looked between him and Viola were strikingly similar, it was almost as if Viola was a craven copy, but as a female. "Ah, how great to finally see the girl that was most likely the one who got my daughter imprisoned, it was lucky that she remembered how to send distress calls."
It wasn't long till Viola finished her job and headed over to the beach. She was planning on getting more information form Cassuis about the treaty and anything else that she needed to know about what seemed to be the feud between merpeople and demon merpeople.

"I believe it's more your fault because you never contacted her when the treaty was made to tell her about it." Melody's argumentative side kicked in, more as a barrier between her and the demonic king. She had noticed the similarities between him and Viola when she first laid eyes on him but didn't believe he was as nice as she was. "So what exactly are you going to do?" She asked out of pure curiosity. "Surely you aren't going to talk me to death." She smirked, crossing her arms over her chest again.
"You try contacting the only daughter you have that hates you and you can't leave a trench to go to the surface." He growled, glaring at her. Him and Viola acted as two totally different people, the only similarity in personality was their tempers. "You will be staying in the cell, just like she was." He said with a grin.
Viola dived into the salty sea water, shifting into her mermaid form and swimming down to the nearest trench and seeing what was going on. "Cassuis!" She yelled as she got closer then swam in quickly. She was not too please with him now. "What in the world is going on?!" She demanded, glaring at her "father." He explained to her what happened and she shook her head. "That is the stupidest of reasons to capture someone. You are no better than Altantica's king. Let Melody go." Cassuis glared at his daughter for a moment before waving his hand for the guards to back away form Melody and let her flee.

Melody sighed and stood her ground, unmoving. She refused to be thrown in the cell like a common criminal.
Melody heard and saw Viola coming and let out a sigh of releif, knowing that Viola would get her out of this. Viola came down demanding to know what was going on, her father telling her immeaditly. She glared at him a bit and he let a Melody go, unwillingly. Melody didn't waste any time in getting out of there, planting a mental note in her head to swim AROUND trenches from now on. She emerged at the surface, swimming a bit away from the trench to wait for Viola.

"Good." Viola said as Melody had left, she still glared at her father. "You really are earning your way up on becoming the worse person I know, it isn't like you have anyone to compete with." She said, knowing that it would sting for her 'father' because he wanted to be in her life but he messed up form the start and was paying for it now. She quickly swam up to the surface and spotted Melody then swam over to her. "Sorry about my, er, 'father'."
"It's ok, dads can be like that." Melody smiled, shrugging her shoulders. "Sorry to cut this conversation short but if I don't go like... Right now my grandfather will send the whole palace looking for me, I've never been this late before." She laughed, the bubbles floating to the surface.
Viola nodded. "Alright. I'll see ya around. I am going back to the mainland." She said then swam back over to the shore. She hadn't forgotten why she was going down there but she thought it best to stay away form her father for now.
Melody nodded in agreement and shot off in the other direction, avoiding all the trenches on the way.
When she finally got to the palace there were a group of guards positioned at the gates and the king giving them instructions. "Find her at all costs." He ordered as Melody swam into view of the guards, trying to look ok. "Sir, she's right there." One of them said, pointing over the kings shoulder at her. He turned around and swam towards her, pulling her into a bear hug. "Melody where have you been???" He demanded, holding her at arms length. "I lost track of time..." She said, avoiding his gaze as he guided her inside. He didn't believe her but was glad to have his granddaughter back. "Close all the gates to Atlantica for now, nobody in or out." He ordered the guards, sitting down in his throne with Melody sitting in his lap.
Minutes later, Melody was fast asleep and all the gates to Atlantica were closed.
(Sorry for any misspellings or gramical errors. I'm on my cell and it tends to be stupid allot.)

Viola switched into her human form and sat at where the sea touched the mainland, letting her feet rest in the water. She watched as the sun went diwn then decided to go ahead and head home.
The king nodded to one of his guards, telling them to bring Melody up to her room and not let her out of their sight. The guard picked the sleeping Melody up and walked her up to her room, carefully setting her on the bed. Several other guards had followed to be stationed outside her window and door just in case, not wanting and danger to come to her.
It wasn't long till Viola had gotten home. She changed into her pjs and just relaxed for awhile by watching a movie and then went to bed.
(TIME SKIP!! WoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOOoOoOoOoo)
The next morning Melody awoke to the bells of Atlantica ringing, telling everybody that the OTHER princess was here. "Mom." She whispered, jumping out of bed and stretching. She tried the doorknob but found it was locked, the sound of snoring on the other side. "HEY LET ME OUT!!" She shouted, successfully waking the man on the other side. "Sorry Mel, you can't come out until either your mom or the King tells me I can let you out." He said apologetically, slipping a piece of paper under the door. "If you need anything just right it on the paper." He added.
