Dodging the screeching, Rina and Ria approached the door. "Nice wood." Said one.
"Good carvings." Said the other.

"This person or beastie clearly has good taste, so let's get a taste."

"Hear, hear!"

They knocked on the oaken barrier and waited for a response.

Their costumes this year were simple; a dragon, and a prince or a knight, it wasn't entirely clear. One had puffy bright orange scales, shimmering in and out in the off-lit flickers and shadows, paired with cutely-rounded small yellow horns, and the other wore a velveteen cape, a bright feathered helmet, a tunic, and a piece or three of plate armor, plus a sword and a shield-fronted bucket and a pair of leather boots.

Cassida was a bit spooked by the newcomers, but stood in front of the door regardless, waiting for response. She fixed her dress a bit to show her best look.

James hid behind Cassida, waiting.

the door opened, as haunt saw every one at the door, he'd offered them treats

Cassida was nevertheless surprised to see that the host had a pumpkin for the head, but she guessed it goes with Halloween.

"Trick or treat!" she held her basket, smiling.

He'd dropped a couple of treats into her basket and happily said "happy halloween"

"Happy Halloween!" Cassida responded with a happy tone, then she stepped aside to allow the other to get their treats as well.

"Thanks, sirrah!"
"It might be a ma'am though."
"Anyway, trick or treat!"
They both receive a clatter of treats into their buckets, and bow to the Haunt person before them. "Have a good Halloween."
"And a good after Halloween!"
Then that's before Halloween too, for next year, right?"

They chuckle, nod at the fellow trick-or-treaters there, and make their way off the porch.
Good evening!

Walks up to the door with his pumpkin bucket excited to get some candy. He looks up at the doorbell unable to reach it, and starts crying. "It's always a trick..."

He opened the door, looking down at the koala, and giving him a pat on the head

Todd walked up with his son to the door. Luke was in The Flash costume. Luke looked at the koala and gasped "dad look! A koala!"

The doctor walked up "Oh I see him there. Why don't you give him a few pieces of candy, little bear? I'll give it back to you"

Luke nodded and grabbed a handful of candy from his bag and put it in Mr. Koala's pumpkin "don't cry, koala. You can have some of my candy"

James squeaked a little, then smiled, holding his pillowcase up to Haunt.

"Trick or treat!"

Mr. Koala gets lots of candy and giggles looking at it all. "Happy Hello Ween!" He said dragging his heavy pumpkin bucket down the sidewalk to the next house. "Hello Ween is a lot of work." He turned around waving. "Buh bye!"

Luke waved at Mr. Koala happily "bye Mr. Koala! Happy Halloween!"

Luke looked up at his father "dad, did you see that?! It was a koala bear! He's so cool!"

Todd laughed "he certainly is. He's a little bear just like you!" he said to his son before taking his hand and leading his son to get more candy

He waved to todd and luke

Luke smiled at Haunt and opened his bag with a bright smile "Trick or treat!"

He dropped some full-sized kitkats seeing as that was what he had left

Luke looked up at Haunt with a big smile "thank you, Mr. Pumpkin!"

He'd waved to luke as his sign of response

Polpetto watched visitor after visitor arrive with mild curiosity, but chirruped happily when an odd, silent figure finally arrived at the door.

ʙɪɢ...ᴘᴜᴍᴘᴋɪɴ! ʏᴇꜱ! ᴘᴜᴍᴘᴋɪɴ, ʜᴜʟʟᴏ! ᴛʜᴀɴᴋ ʏᴏᴜ. ᴘʟᴇᴀꜱᴇ!

He couldn't carry a bucket at his size and build - and scuttling all over strangers' shoulders would have been Rude - so instead, he stood on his rear legs, fluttering and stretching and straining his neck, snout wide open. Drop it in here!
