A few days ago I was in search of a few 1x1 rps. I have found a few marvelous people to rp with! Yay!

Now I would like to find a small group RP as well, consisting of maybe 3-4 people (including myself).

I think it would be a lot of fun to base it in a world that already "exists" in our minds and hearts, but without the Cannon characters of the series. A few ideas that come to mind are :

Harry Potter based universe - Years after the fall of 'ol Voldy Hogwarts is still open and kicking. You can play a student, a teacher, or even a game's keeper since our beloved original cast is no longer hanging around.

Fairy Tale universe - You are joining a new guild, and it just happens to be Fairy Tale! Again, the Cannon characters are off limits, but thats a pretty huge guild! What adventures will you get into??


Pokemon - I see a few topics about this floating around but I've never seen one that is kept going. Pokemon universe, all pokemon are a go. You are trainers, no legendary pokemon please.

Or any other Universe that sounds interesting.

I would be interested in the Harry Potter option! I don't currently have a character, but I'll gladly make one!

I also like the Pokemon option, though I'm not quite as fluent in that universe x3

The Harry Potter would be interesting. I think it'd be fun to create a character for that.

Pokémon would also be fun but I'll have to do some research in places, especially if anything to do with X/Y shows. But I'd be up for either one.

I'd be very interested in a roleplay in the pokémon setting. Very interested in fact!

Okay, so! It looks like a Pokemon world is the most sought after! How about this for a base plot idea?

Years have gone by since the original adventures of Ashe and his crew, and Pallet Town has gone through a few changes for the advancement in times but is still a relatively small town.
One of the changes is the age for Training adventures have gone up - you have to be at least 16 to start an adventure. Our characters live either in Pallet Town itself, or a neighboring Town and are about the start the Journy. We are all meeting at the Professor's lab to get our starters.

The starters can be a reasonably powered basic pokemon (pikachu, eevee, vulpix, growleth ect. Or any of the actual starters in the games/show.)

For now we would play trainers themselves, but as the plot progresses we can also each take control of additional characters such as members of whatever anti-pokemon group we happen to decide should exist.


Any thoughts, ideas, things to add, is this terrible?

I like this setting, actually! Well thought up! I haven't seen a lot of RPs regarding pokémon where we all start off in the very beginning. Though I should ask if it's okay for you for my character to be tagging along instead of being invited to Oak's labratory. It seems kinda strange to me for a character from Hoenn to go all the way to Kanto for a pokémon to me.

Hmmm I suggested Pallet town because it's the most well known, but if you guys already have characters in Hoenn it would probably be a better idea to start there. Do you guys mind having the characters just starting out though?

I don't mind my character just starting out. I like molding the team to fit in with the group! To me it doesn't matter much where we start out. Any place could make for some interesting situations. I'm just keen on keeping Shannon a character that decided to go on her adventure because she got her first pokémon from her father, is all, so I figured it'd be a better idea for her to tag along with fellow new trainers who are learning the ropes just like she is

I actually have a Hogwarts Professor unfortunately, I'm not doing too much RP at the moment. (Curse you university T^T ) but if you'd like to stick me on a list for later, I'd love to chat.

The Fairy Tale idea will have to go on a back burner for now, as well as the Hogwarts one, since we've decided to do Pokemon.

I'll be drafting up an opening post either later tonight, or tomorrow morning and I will link the topic to here. Just want to clarify first :

We are all starting out trainers - Rhyn's character is tagging along but already has a pokemon while the rest of us are about the get our for the first time from an professor.

The starting Pokemon can be any basic Pokemon within reason (NO legendaries)


And I think that's about it for ground rules. Super excited.

Ach! I won't be able to make my character until Saturday, if even then! I realized how many plans I have stacked up... I don't want to drag you guys back or just pop in awkwardly, so I may not join this RP even though I really want to ;-;
