Early into the days of wayland yutani's planet colonization project they had set up one full functioning city on a planet designated Gor IV. The city was called Helios and had state of the art technology and the military's new colonial marine division. They were a special group that were used in combat all over space mainly on colonies as in their name. Markus Brindly was one of the marine stationed on the newly developed colony and he was in charge of civilian defense. That means he is able to defend civilians by any means necessary. He is armed with a standed issue M41A Pulse Rifle. The gun fired compact explosive rounds that dealt more lethal damage to the target and it had a grenade launcher built into the bottom that fired small non-shrapnel grenades. He also had a pistol on his waist. The pistol was a common military grade gun that fired a slightly longer bullet than normal pistols allowing to do pierce through flesh and basic armor. Markus was stationed out side the hospital on the colony. It was good as it allowed him to see over the whole center of town. "You would think a colony like this would have something interesting happen. My god it is so boring here." Markus wined to himself.

For the time being, Iveth was also stationed in Helios, only for the recollection of fuel for her officer's ship and it'd be another few hours until it was also replenished with supplies for the fourth space voyage.

Speaking of which, the forecast beyond the atmosphere has become strange and unreliable over the weeks. Everyday live footage is sent down, but none of it was truly accurate. The MSS4 Canada, the main ship that was currently sending the footage, has been picking up strange readings, but nothing big. Most likely ultraviolet waves that were toying with the satellites and signals. Soon she'd be back up there to fix the problem.

Iveth was called to gather medical supplies though someone was yet to get wounded in space, however, there must still take precautions. Anything could happen even though nothing has.

Still suited in Mark42, the light armor that was a bit dulled due to moderate use. She was expecting an upgrade soon, mark43 on its way. Coming up to the hospital, she knew it would be wise to take it up with the guard before she could enter. "Member of the MSS4 Canada crew," she stated in order to gather the material. "Access to enter?"

Markus stood there on his normal patrol when a girl approached. "Member of the MSS4 Canada crew," She said. Then she asked for permission to enter. "It is a public hospital. You have permission to enter at will." Markus said smirking.

Oh how she wanted to clean that smirk from his face, but she had gone with her better judgment and carried on. It was the usual to ask for permission though evidently it was much different here. Helios didn't seem as locked down at the MSS4's other ports and it made Iveth oddly vigilant and precarious.

Markus had a little laugh with himself after that girl left. "Cute girl." He said. Then he received a call from someone in the orbital defenses. In orbit there was a heavy battle cruiser armed with several guns but only required a dozen crew and a android to pilot. In the ship there were eight people. six on monitoring systems and two for bridge defense and military tactics. The ship resembled a gun in some ways and the bridge was located underneath the main body. One of the monitors contacted him and told him to stay sharp as they had been getting a lot of interference and some strange things come up on sensors but there is nothing there. "Roger." Markus said ending the communication. "Wonder whats going on?" He asked himself.

Iveth's snort was loud enough to hear at the unnecessary comment as she strode into the hospital, but was stopped by the call on her cell that read: urgent. Immediately, she answered was received the same information the guard had too just received. Already she was being called back to inspect further and she spun on her heel to leave, responding hastily, "I'll be there in twenty minutes tops." Quickly, she hung up and looked to the sky just out of curiosity. It still wasn't able to see from the surface. As she came to pass the guard again she informed, "If you've heard the update, take precaution and keep your personal comments to yourself." What left her mouth was never fully thought over, but whatever the case, sometimes they needed to be heard.

"Yes ma'am" Markus said saluting. He did this to mock and toy with her. He smiled as she walked off. Hearing yelling in the plaza he looked over to see two men fighting. "Hey brake it up." He said running over. The two men were grappling on the ground before Markus pulled them apart. The two men were nearly six foot each and wore overalls worn by builders or miners. They looked almost the same but one of them had blue eyes the other green. The green eyed man proceeded to grab a knife and attack the man. Markus used his gun that was clipped to a hook on his back as a baton and beat the man down. Once the man was on the ground with his head bleeding from the single hit the security arrived to arrest the men.

Iveth disregarded the man, seeing how laid back the people were here as well. It was fine every once in a while, but whe- Her head whipped around at the yelling though she didn't pause in her walk, she couldn't exactly afford to. An inaudible gasp escaped her lips as she watched the two men go on to fight and was on the verge to turning to bring the foolishness to a halt, that was, before the guard had intervened. It was his job to intervene, at least he was doing that right.

Again she was called and she answered within the moment's notice, "Iveth, MS-" There were incoherent sounds coming from the other line and she paused, pressing the phone closer to her ear to make it out. It was then that she heard cries and yelling until someone had taken hold of the phone. The voice could barely be made out from over all the clamor, but Iveth was able to make out the ship was under attack. The calling phone suddenly became dead and she stood silent, staring at her phone as though to expect another call, but it didn't come.

What did come, moments later, was a thunderous crackle in the sky and through the clouds came down the MSS4 Canada up in flames.

"Jesus what is up with these guys?" Markus asked the security guard arresting the men. "Don't know sir but thank god you stopped it." Then there was a very loud noise and the sky was lit up with a fiery glow. Then a large ship came falling towards the planet. It would land a few kilometers out side the colony. "Wha. What the hell." Markus yelled before telling everyone to get down. The ship hit the ground with a big bang and a shock wave flew over the colony. All windows on the east side of the colony were completely shattered. Sirens and emergency alarms were going off every were. "The ship MSS4 Canada has been hit by something and has fallen to the planet." A message said into Markus's comms. "We can not tell what hit it bu." The message continued but was cut short. The sky lit up again but this time it was with the explosion of the military ship. "Get everyone to the nearest bunker and get your weapons. Are the colonies automated defense systems online?" Markus told the officer. "Not sure the impact of that ship may have thrown them off." "Fine just get the people to safety." And with that the officers began guiding people to the under ground bunkers till the crisis had passed. "Hey you lady. Wasn't that your ship?" Markus yelled to Iveth.

She stumbled back a bit at the wave and winced at the many sounds and alarms that followed. Quickly, she recovered and stared out to the border of the colony where the ship now lies, completely destroyed along with everything it carried. Thousands of men and women, important footage and data that needed to reach the surface, and more.. If she had not decided last minute to take the trek down to the hospital she would have joined them.

Markus's words were deaf to her ears as she took a step or two forward, refusing to believe what happened before her. The MSS4 Canada would be the least likely to perish under firepower and any assault for that matter, but by the look of it, no warning just abrupt, it was taken down in a single impact. How could it be..?

Markus ran up to Iveth and grabbed her arm. "Hey you should get to the bunkers. Unless you have information that could be helpful get to the rest of the colonists now." Markus ordered her pointing to the other people heading under ground.

"I need to get to the ship," she said with her mind distant before repeating louder, "I need to get to the ship. All the information is there. All that happened should be recorded. I need to get there immediately!" Not wasting another second or another breath she tugged her arm back, and began in a sprint to the first vehicle or transportation device she could find.

"Hey get back here." Markus grabbed her arm yelling that. "If you come with me we will get a colonial marine squad and investigate. The ship will be unstable and falling apart you will need our protection." Markus told her letting for of her arm.

"But you wouldn't know how to access it," she argued, agitated that she was stopped once again. "With every second you're wasting time to figure out what brought down my ship." Her breathing was heavy and her eyes flicked between him and the ship, thinking over a resolution. "Get your marine squad, we're going down there."

Contacting his squad of seven other marines and a pilot. Markus called them down with a drop ship. They took several minutes to arrive but they arrived as they had to re assign the posts of the two other eight man squads around the colony. "Well come on get aboard." Markus told Iveth feeling nervous about what she may do.

Iveth quickly got into the ship, her phone in her hand as she tried to contact as many other members that she could. There were others sent down to gather supplies, so she was sure they were just as appalled as she was.

Arriving at the crash site Markus and his squad got out and prepared for orders. "Ok all of you need to spread out and set up a perimeter. Markus you go with Iveth and collect the data. The rest of you will follow once we have searched the area." Said the Sargent. "Yes sir." Everyone said in sync. "Come on we need to find this data and get out this ship will be falling apart and we won't have long before the whole thing collapses." Markus told Iveth as they began walking. "So what was this ship doing anyway?" He asked.

The heat from the fire licked her skin and she dismounted the drop ship, deciphering what part of the ship it was. She wasted no time at all, quickly realizing it was the storage room of the ship, just what she came for. Hastily, she paced up to it, but careful to avoid the fire and places that seemed would collapse, however, she was blocked out by a fallen pillar of the ship that looked to be the only thing keeping it up so far. "Ah," she gave a frustrated cry, "how are we going to get in there?"

"Hm. It will be too risky to blow it up but we will have to find a way around. Is there anything here like an access vent or something?" Markus asked. Hearing some small bit's of metal collapse made him turn and look in the direction. He looked around as if he was scanning the area for anything. He looked up to see how the ship was hit by some sort of super heated weapon. "The metal is all melted there? this must be were the ship was hit. And by some kind of heat based weapon?" He said studying the area.

"A vent," she repeated after him as her eyes rapidly searched and she made her way around the outside before seeing a hole in the side of the ship as though someone had.. forced their way out. "Look at this.." she gestured him over, looking closer to see the sides of it had also been burned. Melted rather. Must've been whatever weapon they used.
