It was a sunny morning, and the sun shone through the trees.A young Assassin walked through the woods.She was heading towards town, to attend to some bussiness.She kept her eyes down, looking at the ground as she walked.Her hood covered her face, except for her nose, mouth, and chin.She doubted anyone would be around to see her face, but you can never be to careful.She slightly looked up, looking around the woods slightly.Just for something to do on this long journey to town.

A small basket with a bundle would be leaning infront of a tree. Inside the basket a small mewling sound cascaded through the small babe cried gently as the sun shone on him. His soft reddish hair and greenish eyes shone brightly and warm tears dribbled down the little boys face. He had been attacked by a wolf and a Hunter came but left the mewling baby to die. The only thing protecting his soft pale skin was a large wool blanket.

The girl walked looking up at the trees, as her boots made quiet thuds on the ground.She looked around hearing something.She stopped walking examining the area around her.Her eyes darted to a tree, with a basket infront of it.Who leaves a basket in the woods She wondered.She pulled out a dagger, and started to approach the basket.For all she knew it could be a trap.Though the closer she got to it, the more she heard cries.she tilted her head.She knelt down and peeked into the basket.Seeing the baby.She blinked.She sheathed her dagger, looking at the boy.She looked around, then looked at the boy.How did he get here.. she wondered.

The baby looked up at the girl with big green eyes and whimpered and sniffles. On the side of the basket the name of the baby was printed in scribbled handwriting.'Xall'. The little baby boy cried a little more and reached out with tiny little hands.

She noticed the side of the basket.Xall she read in her thoughts.Gosh, this couldn't be a worse time, but the girl couldn't stand to leave the child there.She noticed the boy was reaching out its hands.She picked the little baby up, out of the basket.She wondered who left him here..

The baby looked at the girl and in his mind it processed this woman wouldn't hurt him. He looked at gee and a small smile appeared on his little pale face. He looked up at gee and closed his eyes softly.

She held the child close, looking around.She didn't see a single soul, except for the birds in the trees.The wind blew a strong breeze that knocked her hood off her head, revealing a girl who had dark purple eyes, and purple hair, a little past her shoulders, maybe an inch or two.

The baby snuggled I to the arms of the girl. He muttered baby nonsense as he slowly drifted off to sleep. He gripped a hand on her shirt and yawned softly. His reddish brown hair rustled i. The wind and he sighed happily in deep slumber.

The girl looked down at the child, and sighed a soft sigh.What am I going to do with you.. she wondered.Could she afford to delay her mission? Would 'they' understand?

The child sighed in the sleep. Xall didn't really move but his pale skin did shine a little in the light. His hair whisped every which way and he shivered slightly.

She sighed quietly once more, she'd have to find a place for this baby.But where? It was to dangerous for him to stay with her, then again, her face was usually reconizd for being a highschool girl.Not an assassin.She pulled her hood back over her head, covering half her face with it, her bangs hanging in her face.She knelt down, picking the wool blanket up, and covered the young one with it, feeling him shiver.She hoped he wasent hungry or anything.They had a long way to go until they reached town.

The little one breathed softly and the air he breathed came out crisp. He was just tired and was scared. Not he was sleeping and felt safe with the young girl and he nestled in to her.

She checked the basket one last time, seeing if there was anything else, there was not.She stood up with the baby, Xall.She stepped forward, and started to walk, further and furer through the woods.She hoped the baby would stay asleep until they reached town.She had no food for the baby, she had no toys, no nothing for the child.Just the comfort of a teenage girl, and the wool blanket.

She child slept for a very long time. After a while he opened his delicate green eyes and laid there tired and just allowing himself to be wrapped in the care of the young girl. He was just a baby so this girl was a mother to him in his own mind. He laid with his head on the girls shoulder and made a small sigh.

By the time the young baby awoke, they were almost to town.Lacking hy 5 minutes maybe.She walked in silence he whole trip, allowing the baby to sleep.She didn't know his long it had been in that basket, so she didn't know when it last slept.That, and she didn't want a screaming crying child to attend to..She knew when it had awoke, but she still stayed silent.Soon the two were on the outskirts of town, she held the child close, and proceeded into town, keeping her head low.

Xall looked up at the girl and tilted his head . He looked around and then focused on the young woman and he began to cry but not loudly just because he was hungry and knew the girl planned to leave him somewhere.

The girl looked at the baby."Don't cry.." she said softly.Her mission was a 'had to be done' thing.She would just find a place for him, that had food, and a nice person to watch over him, until she got that done..

He cried more but it came to a slow stop and he looked at the girl. He gripped onto on of her fingers tightly and he didn't really plan to let go. His eyes were fixed on hers and he whimpered.

She figured the child couldn't uunderstand her, but alas, she talked to him."I'll find you some food, ..but I'll have to leave you with another person, but I'll come back for you.." she said.She didn't see sense in hiking all the way back to her town, over a two hour trip from here, to drop the baby off at her parents house, then hike back here, she just couldn't do that.

He sighed and didn't understand but he knew she had a plan. He just closed his eyes and wiggled slightly to stretch.
