Alex walked over to crying Xall.Then noticed something odd.His chest was glowing red.He took Xall from her mom, What's causing this she wondered.It was odd.And it kinda scared her.

He whined and gripped only the shirt she was wearing and his chest wavered in and out and his eyes were dark grey now. "Am......mama...." He said and began to cry a little more his breathing and crying stopping for very faint moments.

Alex tried to think through his cries, then remembered a spell she learned from a friend, he now lived very far away.But still.It was a spell that allowed somebody to see through pain.What caused the pain the person was feeling and all.Since she didn't exactly know why this was happening, it would be nice to know.Her mother had left the room, so Alex closed her eyes, and said something quietly within her thoughts,The spell.She would soon know, what was causing Xall all this pain..

Deep within his chest all his blood vessels had stopped working properly. They were beginning to change, to form into some sort of power. He would soon be granted to powers to control enemies blood and this included to be able to cause clots and to dry it out. His shest hurt due to all the changes in his DNA.

Alex was holding Xall close.Now knew.She slowly opened her eyes.So this...was also why his old foster parents thought this child was a monster or something.She looked at Xall...Another spell, another spell.. she mused in her thoughts.Then she remembered another one.One that number pain, for the most part.The pain would remain, but one wouldn't feel it.Maybe that would be best for Xall.She pulled Xall away from herself, and touched a two fingers to his chest, and whispered a few words.

Xall opened his eyes grey and cold. The pain began to subside and so did his crying. He whimpered and his body jerked from all the changes. It wasn't his fault. It wasn't because of him he was like this. Yet, like all those whose races are despised he couldn't do anything about it.

"Somewhat better?" He asked moving her fingers away from the boys chest, and looking at him.She didn't seem scared of him.Despite what she just witnessed.

As if in response he whimpered and hid his face in her chest. His chest still red and glowing. It didn't hurt as much now which he was grateful for.

"Aw..its okay" she told him.She couldn't help erase the pain, or the glowing red on his chest, she did what she could.

His body quivered only a little and he finaly could stand sleeping. His eyes closed and he felt himself drift into sleep. His chest still glowing, yet it begins to grow fainter and fainter.

Alex looked at Xall, figuring he was asleep.She walked him to his room, and set him gently down in his crib. She backed away from the crib, and left the room, after all, she had homework to do.

She sat at the kitchen table minutes later, a text book infront of her.She tapped her pencil against her top lip, trying to mentally solve a problem.

He kept sleeping and during his sleep he rolled around as if he were having a nightmare. His body was red and his hair matched his skin nearly. Soon something appeared in the corner of the room. It was a tall figure, manlike. He was shrouded in darkness

She had finished 99% of her homework on the bus, and at school, so she only lacked maybe three problems.But within only minutes had those solved and she shut her book.After Xalls early marathon, she pushed her chair away from the table, and went to go check on him..never to safe with a child.

The creature is now standing over xall before picking him up and examining the childs body. Xall himself was whimpering still asleep and hurting a bit still

Alex stopped in the doorway, seeing the figure..that definitely wasent human.She pulled a knife out, and started slowly approaching the odd creature.Not making a sound.

The creature turned to Alex holding the child in his arms. He made a hissing noise and began to inch his way towards the doorway growling all the way.

Alex stopped.Since the creature was facing towards the doorway, she had been seen.But what did she care, this wasent a mission, nobody knew...She went and blocked the doorway.She glarred coldy at the creature, "put.The child.Down." she demanded of it.She held the knife tightly in her grasp, she would use it, even the creature got to her, and haven't released Xall.

"He is dangerous....evil and disgraceful. How could you learn to love a child that will never grow to be good enough for you." He said his voice rather husky. His eyes danced with a fiery glow.

"I don't care what anybody has to say about him! He's not evil! He's not disgraceful!" She said angry at the man who was going to try and take Xall away from her.She grew quieter, but still glarred coldly at the creature."I don't care if anybody calls him a monster, he's still just a child.He may not be human, but he's still only a child." She said.She knew this boy didn't know how to control whatever ability he had...he was to young.

He growled and dropped the child into his crib area. His body made a thud and he woke up and whimpered beginning to cry."die if it makes you happy. " he said and disappeared. Xall wormed around and whimper still.
