Late! It was late! One long cat nap you're in September and the next one it was already October 23rd! Halloween had always been Yvienne's favorite celebration, last year she had bid her time to arrange fancy intricate decorations made of living candy but it had taken weeks of hard work preparation and planing. This was not the case today however! She had taken a long family business trip with the always busy...urmmm erhh...nap times, that she had completely forgot how fast days went, not taking into consideration the time it would take her to return to her hometown to set decorations. The moment she finally realized her mistake she had to pack up shop and hit the road back home, rushing to fit crates of candy, decorations and magical antiquities into her wagon, a large pumpkin caravan that doubled as her home and shop. The cart shook back and forth as it traveled hurriedly over the dirt road, deep within the woods, pulled by the work of magic...or possibly that of an invisible creature, at her current speed she would be arriving home at sun rise...yet if there was something predictable about the future, it was how impredictable it could be.

*CRANK!!...*

The night was high , darkness shrouded the woods with a mantle of gloom. The dirt road was near imperceptible, clouded by a veil of fog. An eerie road to travel, much more if one did so alone, a pitch black traversy...if it were not for the different array of pumpkin lanterns that had been arranged over each side, providing a much necessary beacon of light. Following the path would lead to a pumpkin shaped caravan, right next to the road, one of it wheels missing causing it to lightly tilt by the side, a massive witch hat resting at the top of it fitting perfectly as if it was the case of a pumpkin head, spider webs made of sugar candy decorated the sides, bats of pure caramel hanged upaide down from the edge of the witch hat, the sweet scent of chocolate cookies emanated from within with ghostly vapor trails that danced up into the night sky.

A lone sign rested outside, made of freshy pine wood just like the one from the trees that flanked both sides of the road. The sign standing right next to a tiny golden bell that hanged by a pole.

~Welcome Adventurers, Night creatures and interdimensional travelers!~

~Trick or treaters, touch the bell~

Olaf, dressed as an oversize pirate saw the giant pumpkin and approached it with childlike enthusiasm. In his hand was a stuffed bear with a patch over his eye. "Look, Teddy," The ogre said with a slight lisp. He pointed at the sign and bell. He approached it and knelt down, holding the stuffed bear up so that he could see it.

"The sign says 'The Jack-Ò Porium! Welcome Adventurers, Night creatures and interdimensional travelers! Trick or treaters, touch the bell'," the ogre read aloud. He picked up his bear, and raised him to his face so the stuffed animal was at eye level. "That's us, Teddy! would you like to ring the bell?"

The ogre nodded the tiny bear's head for his and turned him back around.

"Go ahead, Teddy. It's alright! Touch the bell," The ogre urged before taking the stuffed bear's paw and touching it.

* Clink! Cling!*

The tiny ring of the bell broke the silence within the woods, not so long after the ring did the front door open slightly, showing the light from the interior followed by the cast of a shadow with pointy ears and hat...It was a cat, a small dark purple feline with a regal yet playful look to it.

"Mmrrrawwwwooow! Good evening!" Answered the kitty with an happy tune to it's femenine voice. It's golden eyes raising up t see a cute teddy bear then traveling further up and up and up! Till it's golden eyes met that of the friendly giant that had visited her this evening.

"Mmhhhrrawww! I mean rahhhghhh! Captain!" The neko greeted with a feisty spirit, yet not fast enough to completely hide her initial surprise from witnessing the ogre at her doorstep."

"Mmhhh...any good pirate needs it's treasure!" The kitten mewled loudly, it's tail moving right then left, like the click of a clock, then *pooof!* A small yet colorful explosion of magic followed, dominated with shades of violet. From it a chest appeared, opening up to reveal it's contents. Doubloons of hardened candy amassed in piles, gummies shaped like jewels decorated the interior, necklaces, rubys, diamonds and even a full size cookie sword fit perfectly inside. On closer inspection the chest itself was made of chocolate, enchanted of course not to melt until it was eaten.

"And for your dear friend." *Poof!* Another puff of magic happened, this a smaller one yet not without it's importance.

A small bee hive....or the typical shape of one! Purely made of honey comb, with symetrical golden hexacons decorating it, all filled with delicious honey. A worthy prize for any teddy first officer, or so did the witch dare to assume.

"Mrreeooww! Happy Halloween" The cat did small reverence after her display, both treats hovering in mir air, ready to be picked up by the Giant and their trusty friend.

"Look, Teddy! I kitty," The ogre proclaimed when the cat appeared. He was clearly speaking to his stuff toy.

"Good evening," The ogre replied gently. "I'm Captain Olaf, and this is my first mate, Teddy!"

"Mmhhhrrawww! I mean rahhhghhh! Captain!" The neko greeted with a feisty spirit, yet not fast enough to completely hide her initial surprise from witnessing the ogre at her doorstep."

The ogre appeared not to pick up on the feline's surprise. Instead, he focused on making the bear react to the cat. The bear looked back at the ogre who smiled at it re-assuringly, the way a father might try to reassure a timid child.

"Oh wow, that's amazing! Isn't it Teddy," Olaf said making the little bear nod his approval and clapping his tiny hands together.

"Mrreeooww! Happy Halloween" The cat did small reverence after her display, both treats hovering in mir air, ready to be picked up by the Giant and their trusty friend.

"Happy Halloween to you too," The ogre replied and gatherred the treasure. "Thank you so much. Tell the nice cat thank you, Teddy."

The ogre then shook the bear gently in the feline's direction but it made no sound. The bear then made a polite bow.

"Mrrheeoww~ you're most Welcone Captain Olaf, hehehe~" The kitten let out a giggle followed by a purr, little had she expected such a sweet interpretation and right at her door step! In a way she had trick or treated thanks to the ogre's theatrical skill in handling his plushie companion, creativity and imagination had always been gateways into worlds far away from reach.

"Remember good pirates always share~" The neko adviced with a little joke of her own. " I wish you safe travels, take care! Mrreoow!" Yvienne mewled happily, bidding farewell to their first visitors. Part of her had been low key worried that her decision to do her trick or treating for this year at the road in the woods had been a bad idea and possibly most would miss it, though the appearance of the friendly giant had renewed her faith in her decision.

It was usual for adventurers and those who were far away from home to miss such festivity, thus if one couldn't be in town to celebrate then...The celebration would go towards them! Kind of...or that was the neko's original plan anyhow!
"Absolutely," Olaf responded. "Say goodbye, Teddy."

He made the tiny teddy bear wave and then turned to head back to continue down the main road with his treasures.

"Wasn't that fun," he could be heard asking the bear as they headed off in search of more treats.

The neko purred loudly, waving her paw good bye to the giant as he continued down the main road. She then stretched her back up, tail wagging softly behind, before returning to the comforts of her home. Waiting for the next trick or treaters while laying close to the fireplace within her pumpkin home.
