Saro silently stepped into David's room,he really didn't like hospitals.Still he greeted David with a warm smile and walked over to his bed,"I told you I wasn't going to go anywhere.That was a promise."He told the boy.

"I didn't think you would keep it, a lot of people I know don't keep their promises.." David said, picking up a paper cup full of water sitting beside him. The nurse left them alone for the time being, leaving the rest of the pitcher of water behind as well.

"Ah.I see."Saro said,watching him carefully.After what happened in his earlier years of his life he couldn't bring hismelf to break a promise if he believed in them that is.But,this was kid that he wasn't willing to leave behind.

"So what will happen when I get out of the hospital, If I get out." He asked, trying to sound upbeat.

Saro looked away,what was he going to tell this kid,after all Saro didn't exactly have a home himself.He just found places to stay for a while rather then being out in the open.At times like this it would be best to lie or,"..I really don't know,but I'm sure things will get better."Saro said with a smile.

David nodded and took another sip of his water, wondering why Saro hesitated when he answered.

Saro looked around Davids room in silence.he really hoped he wasn't that easy to read.

The nurse came in that moment and told David he was allowed to go as long as he didn't try to do any heavy lifting. David nodded earnestly, ready to leave this scary place. "C'mon lets gooooo." He told Saro, trying to sit up.

Saro smiled at the nurse,but said nothing.He acted as if he was a part of the wall until she left."Yeah,let's g..Ah David be careful!"Saro said,going to help the boy.

"Careful Smareful!" He laughed, succeeding in sitting up. "Get a wheelchair." David added with a bright smile, clearly anxious to get out of the hospital.

Saro didn't so sure about that,still he smiled at the child."A wheelchair,okay.'he nodded,going to get one for David.He was pretty quick,he wanted to get out as much as David if no more so.He rested the wheelchair next to Davids bed ad waited.

David got off the bed easily and into the chair, putting his hands on the arm rests. "To infinity and beyond!!" He shouted, pointing ahead of him.

Saro laughed,"Okay."He said,not entirely sure what the was about but he just started to push David's wheelchair.He saw little point asking what that was about so he just laughed before falling silent as they left the building.

David laughed with him, putting his arms on the armrests. "Where do we go now?" David asked, his stomach growling slightly as they went through the front doors of the emergency room.

Saro still smiled at the younger boy,he seemed a lot better now.That to him,was enoguh to make him feel a bit better from earlier."We're going to get something to eat."He answered David,chuckling softly.

"Okie dokie." David said with a large grin, tapping his fingers on the arm rests in anticipation. "Where are we going?"

Saro smiled a bit more when he saw his grin,"Ah,you'll see soon enoguh."He said in response.He then pushed the wheel chair when he started taking David to a familiar place that were more then willing to help Saro out and any of his friends.As he did he found himself wondering who did this to David..why did they do this to him anyways?

"Aw that's no fairrrr." David complained, crossing his arms in mock anger. He couldn't pull the look off though, he was just too happy right not. Soon enough David had a grin across his face again, anxious to finally get good food.

Saro just chuckled as he asked the younger boy,"What's the fun of taking away a surprise?" It was a valid question.After all,he knew a little of people loved pizza,especially kids around Davids age so he figured why not. Soon enoguh they came to a pizza place that Saro,with some help got them both inside and into the back."..Now we wait,he'll be out pretty soon."He told the boy.

David crossed his arms and pouted until they got to pizza place, a look of confusion across his face. "Ok." He said nodding, wondering what kind of food they sold here.
