A young boy sat in a tree just outside a small orphanage, his feet hanging off the branch. His clothes were bloody and ripped from various fights over the years and his wrist was broken yet again. The wind blew through his blonde hair, sweeping it into his face. "Ugh." He mumbled, pushing his bangs out of his face again. He had been hiding all afternoon from the orphanage bully, just waiting for dinner to come around. The sun started to set on the horizon when the boy finally jumped down, cautiously looking both ways before darting towards the front door. Before he reached the door he was grabbed from behind and thrown to the ground. "We've been looking for you David." The older boy said as two other boys closed around David, pounding their fists into their hands. "It's time to learn your lesson." The oldest boy continued, kicking David in the side causing him to gasp for breath. The other two boys joined in, one kicking his face and the other kicking his stomach as well.
By the time the two boys were finished, David was covered in blood and had a broken rib. The two boys left him on the front sidewalk after taking the spare change in his pocket, the only money he had. David brought out his Inhaler and took a couple puffs then got up gently, gasping in pain. He managed to sit against the side of the orphanage before falling unconscious.

(Knock yourself out, sorry for the late reply. I was watching bad ink. )
A teenage boy around 15 was walking around,he was pale,dressed a shirt and light sweeter with dark colored jeans and black boots.His name was Saro,and he found this evening to be very pleasant and most certainly didn't want waste it by being inside.The teenage boy chuckled softly as he walked,he seemed so happy about everything.That was until his green gaze fell on a child.There was no way this kid was any older then seven..he looked so hurt.
Saro swallowed,what had happened to him?Why was he just standing there?The teenage boy looked from right,then left before running over to the boy.So much blood,and so many bruises, it was enoguh to make Saro shuddered."..H-hey."He said,gently putting a hand on his shoulder."..c-can you hear me?"Saro asked the boy.

The boy woke up to another person shaking him gently. "W-what happened. How long was I out?" He asked, holding the side where his rib was broken. He wiped the blood from his mouth on his already blood stained sweater and looked at the other boy. "Who are you?" He asked, not recognizing this boy from the orphanage.
Saro smiled a bit when the boy had woken up,that was a relief to him.And then he frowned,and his green eyes filled with concern."..I-I don't know what happened,nor how long you've been like this..I just found you this way."He told the boy.Saro noticed that the boy was keeping a hand on his side,was it sore due to bruising or worse?"Hmm?"Saro looked at the boy,"Oh..I'm Saro."He said softly."..May I have your name?"
David winced when he sat up a little straighter but told Saro his name. "Mine is David." He said, struggling to not show any pain in front of Saro. "Do you know what time it is?" David asked instead, needing to know if he missed dinner or not. David usually never got enough to eat and it was very noticeable by the way he walked and talked, his ribs showing through his skin.
Saro knew that this would hurt Davide a bit,but still he made the boy sit back yet again,"You shouldn't do that.."The teenage boy said softly,looking at Davide with a painfully weak smile."..Uh..no,I don't."Saro admitted weakly.Saro was also an orphan,but he had found a way to charm people to give him a decent meal for free fairly often,so it was hard to tell he was homeless.But seeing this boy reminded him of his little brother,he didn't want him to suffer like this.
David winced again when Saro gently pushed him back a bit, concerned for his health. His stomach suddenly growled loudly, embarrassing him. "I think dinner passed already....." He mumbled to himself, poking his legs to make sure they weren't broken.
(If I end up not responding tonight, that means I fell asleep.)
Saro bit his lip,"I can get you dinner, a-and maybe some help for your wounds."The teenager suggested shakily.He seemed a bit worried that David would disagree with his idea.He really wanted to know what happened,what caused this child to be so hurt?Saro shuddered again,the world was to cruel for a kid to be wondering around by their self and struggling to live.
"R-really?" David asked, not really believing that Saro could. "I-Is it away f-from here?" He asked, the cold of the evening biting through his clothes.
(Sorry so short. >_<)
(Sorry so short. >_<)
{Sorry for the wait!!}
Saro nodded,Yes,really.I wouldn't lie about something like that."He told the younger boy,then again he never really lied about anything.Lying wasn't who he was,and it was pointless."It doesn't have to be."Saro told David,giving him a warm smile.

"O-ok t-then." David said, attempting to get up again. "I'll come w-with you." He said, finally standing up. The arm that was still in the cast was clutching at the boys side to try to keep it from moving allot.
(Ugh, sorry it's so short.)

{Ahah,it;s alright.}
Saro seemed nervous when David began moveing,"P-please..wait..I don't want you to strain yourself."He told David,his green eyes filling with worry.

David smiled and shook his head. "It's a-alright. I've b-been hu-hurt a-allot worse." He stuttered nervously, wondering how he was going to manage.
Saro didn't seem all that happy about hearing the boys reasons of how he could mange.He stood up and help a hand out for David,"You can lean against me if you want.I want to get you to help as soon as possible."He told the seven year old boy,he smiled at the boy.Although his smile was warm and kind,his green eyes were brimmed with tears.
David took the hand gratefully and leaned up against Saro, smiling up at him. "Are y-you my new f-friend?" He asked, wondering what it was like to have a friend to look out for him. "I've never had a friend before."
Saro seemed stunned for a moment,this kid never ad a friend before.That was awful."..Y-yeah.I'm your friend."He told David,carefully walking towards the nearest emergency room."First..we go get you fixed up,and then food,okay?"He asked the boy.
David smiled really big. "Ok!" He said, nodding his head excitingly. He walked with Saro towards the emergency room, each step a bit of a struggle. After a couple minutes David slowed down, catching his breath. "Are we almost there?" He asked, his eyes brimming with tears from the pain.
