The forest in the middle of nowhere, it has been the zone for many disappearances of numerous amounts of people. All who were found a day later, scarred and dead, many say the forest holds a dark secret but it is not the forest that is causing this trouble, it is what is inside this forest.
Many years ago, a family lived within the forest in solitude, building a cottage from the ground up, and eventually building onto it to hide a dark secret, no one knew this family or even that they existed. But one of the members built a secret lab underground, built to house animals of various types, or so it seemed at a first glance.
100 years passed since the family left the cottage, all of it's secrets hidden cleverly under the floorboards of the cottage and now a new face has roamed into it's domain unknowing of the danger the poor soul is now in

A very young woman, she seemed about sixteen years of age, walked through the woods of great mystery. She had her hood up and it was green while her clothing was a long green and purple cloak and it was full of pockets. Each pocket had a different meaning to it and a different reason. Her purple eyes looked around and only a small strand of a blue/purple hair dropped from the rim of her forehead which was cascaded in light. She walked with a certain skip in her step and her pale skin danced with flaming pale moon, of course it was the reflection of the sun
The animals in the night were all making sounds of sorts but none of them were anywhere near the inner part of the forest, close to Myles was what looked to be a gateway deeper into the forest made by the trees and at the end of it was an old wooden cottage, the door broken off one of it's two hinges. Something didn't seem right with the cottage and it didn't make a person feel good either
She felt a little uneasy seeing everything seem so creepy. She didn't understand why someone should keep the old cottage out here in the middle of nowhere. She , although being screamed at by her conscience, decided to check out the cabin. She walked closer to it cautiously and walked through the entrance.
With a closer examination of the cottage, moss was starting to grow on the wooden planks and the door was just ready to come off, a gust of air was coming out from the doors broken panels, one of the windows was broken making it easier to see inside. Creaking sounds came from everywhere about the cottage showing it's old age surprising how it was still standing
She walked through the doorway and just stared at the horrific site. She peeked in more looking for life."hello? Is anyone here?" Her voice showed no actual fear and she sighed looking down at the ground and the floor.
Each step taken within the cottage was closer to the floor breaking beneath itself, the creaking growing louder as one stepped further in, her voice seemed to echo a bit on the walls. There was a bookshelf, but with few books on it all seemed to be covered with dust the labels barely readable, but with a quick wipe off of the dust, each book was a journal of it's former owner and may contain the history of the cottage
She picked up a book and dusted the cover of it. She blinked and looked at it. A journal of some sort."who would leave their private stuff here?"
As Myles was reading the journal a banging sound was coming from somewhere underneath the floorboards, it was horrid and sounded as if it were coming from multiple areas of the cottage floor, a latched could be heard clanging onto it's wooden frame, the sound of a gurgling heard all around the cottage
She blinked and put it down before looking at the ground. She looked around hoping to find some clues or possibly if it had a basement. She sighed and walked across the floor thinking it was about time to leave.
The banging stopped, but the ringing of the clanging could still be heard from the corner of the cottage, covered by an old writing desk. The door was locked now, it was lodged into the side of the door frame making it impossible to move without a tool of sorts otherwise nothing could move it
She tilted her head and then walked closer to the desk thing. She walked to she blinked and tilted her head. She then sighed and walked over to the desk and pulled on it trying to move it from the wall. She tugged and pulled and it slid slightly.
As the desk was pulled away the hatch became free, it's iron handle now free to move and open at anytime, the hinges were slightly rusted and made it difficult to move but not much effort was required to lift open the hatch
She lifted the handle and pulled as hard as she could to open the door. She finaly opened it enough to slide in and after this she searched around for a light or something flammable. She pulled out a stick from her bag and wraps some cloth around it. She lights it on fire with a match she found in her pocket. She looked around the place.
The dim light did not allow for much detail as well as providing an orange tint to the room, noises could be heard all around, from the simple dripping of the water to what sounded like steps on metal. In the middle of the room laid three key's, each with a different label on them Storage, Laboratory, but the last one was unreadable, not too mention it was latched down onto the table but the other two were free. Across from the table were three doors, Storage, Laboratory, and again the last label was unreadable making it difficult to determine what it was. There obviously was something wrong with these doors for them to have locks, but which door was the correct one to go through first
She walked to the keys and picked up each of them except the one chained down. She tugged at it trying to get it up and sighed letting it go and she looked around. She took the laboratory key and walked towards the laboratory door. She pushed the key in and twisted.
The Laboratory door opened with a hissing sound as if clean air had not been inside for over decades, a long narrow hallway followed by a large room sealed by a glass door, through the glass door could be seen several test tubes and beakers, as well as a large broken glass capsule, that may have held something within
She tilted her head at these strange things and sighed softly. Her eyes gleamed with a bit of curiosity as she walked in and looked through the glass and her eyes caught onto the broken capsule.
A weird juice was stuck onto part of the glass capsule, whatever made it out didn't go completely unscathed, there was no evidence of where it went, but it wasn't in the lab. A weird clicking sound came from the counter with the test tubes and beakers, within the mass array of the mess was what seemed to be a living material, green and squishy looked as if it had tentacles to either move around or capture prey
She blinked and walked towards the slimy thing and poked kne tentacle with the end of the torch that wasn't burning."um....what are you?"
