".....Voices...?" She asked deeply confused as she looked at Ukysses. How could he expect a child to know?
Quickly he thought over past events. He hadn't been drugged, nothing signified that he was being irrational, nothing changed. This had something to do with her since they did claim to be friends of hers. With suspicion he set her down finally.
The faint giggling laughter returned once again seconds after he had set her down. Almost like the creatures voices were mocking him now. Yet Nausicaä still wasent exactly sure what he had been talking about,
Immediately in hearing it again his eyes darted to Nausicaä who, to his misfortune, looked clueless to this all. He began to wonder if she could hear it just as clearly as he could because surely he couldn't be having hallucinations. "You heard that," it was a question more than it was a statement, but he was trying to ensure that she knew of it too.
Nausicaä shook her head, she didn't hear anything. As usual. She didn't know his to make it so she could her voices as well. "such a....clueless....child the voice said. Nausicaä looked down a little, "your starting to act like everyone else" she said quietly, almost sadly. Everyone got all paranoid around her...except daddy,
What the voice said next had given him a straight forward enough answer, then realizing that she indeed could not hear it. He assumed that he wasn't the only one whose heard this before, concluding from her words, but they would never cease to be something he could just ignore. As of now they were just voices and nothing more.
Ulysses said nothing in response to her and tuned out any voices that were to come for the time being. "Game's over," he stated flatly.

Nausicaä looked up at Ulysses, then looked down again. She just quietly nodded. Usually she would at least ask why not, or if they could please play anther game, but Ulysses was a man not to be reckoned with.
She just stood there. She was confused, and disappointed.

The dismay was evident on her face, only proving that Ulysses had the talent to make children upset. It wasn't that he didn't want to play the game again, but the first find wasn't an easy one and he doubted it would be as easy with the voices coming into play, however this left them with nothing to do... There was a remaining seven hours of the day and he's sure that she would refuse to sit in one place for long.
As much as he wanted to groan in frustration, he hadn't and what came out of his mouth was a first, "Thnk of another game."

The little one looked up at him when De heard what he said. Think of another game. This she seemed fine with, and so she had only one response. She approached him and poked him once, "tag."
( this must be suffering for Ulysses)

((It's hard trying to be a mercenary and a parent at the same time ))
He stared at her dubiously, not seeing the objective of the game. Instead he stayed in his spot, his arms crossing loosely over his chest as he asked exasperatedly, "Explain."

( I find his attempts a little humorous)
Nausicaä looked up at him, her hand falling back to her side, "haven't you ever played tag?" She asked though it seemed quite obvious more then likely he had not. "One person touches the other and says "tag, your it" then the person whose it tries to tag the not-it" she said, trying to explain with the best of her ability.

Coherent enough, but he didn't think this would be a fair game estimating how fast he was. "Do you usually get a moment's notice," he thought over what he said, figuring that she wouldn't be able to decipher his words well, so he corrected himself, "head start."
Nausicaä nodded, "10 seconds" she said. Enough time for the person who is it to count to 10. So indeed there was a head start in tag. - might want to make that 20 seconds..
((Going by what he heard ))
Ulysses nodded reluctantly, also signalling her to go while she can because he wouldn't apprehend his full potential for a game. Under his breath and in his native language he began to count.

(Okay )
When signaled to, Nausicaä ran off. She seemed to be having fun. Most parents- or in this case guardians, would love to see a child running about having a grand time, however Ulysses to her, seemed he couldn't care less for the most part.

As he counted he listened to her fast paced steps deciphering which direction she was heading and once finished he was quick to bolt out of the room, his steps light to where they were hardly audible.
The little girl ran, as fast as she could, as if she believed deep inside that Ulysses couldn't catch her even though he most certainly could. She could just just faintly hear his footsteps.
When he got near enough to catch sight of her, he noticed what room she was going into and took another route that would lead him right to her. He may not look it, or sound like it, but he was indeed having fun.
The young child ran, ran from Ulysses. She may not be able to run as fast as him, but she could probably keep up running longer then him. Maybe.
Oblivious to the fact that he had taken a different route, she continued onward, unaware she was about to fall into a trap of him being where she was going.

After making a quick dash through the room he was in one of the halls again and ,as expected, she ran out into the hall as well. As fast as he was going, he really didn't have the option to slow down, therefore he snatched her up before they went into a tumble. It wasn't harsh enough to get hurt, but they both ended up on the ground. If she was paying attention there was a hint of a smile on his face.
Now she was it.
Now she was it.
