Seeing she had not seen it coming, she was rather surprised to see Ulysses, and even more surprised when he snatched her up, and they went tumbling. But afterwards rather then crying or anytjing- she was laughing. This was fun to her. After a moment he'd laughter ceased and with a smile on her face, she looked at Ulysses, seeing a hint of a smile upon his face. That was a first. But alas, she just simply announced to the world, "I'm it!" She yelled cheerful.
Before she could pry herself from the ground Ulysses had already rolled to his feet and left the hall hastily. He kept in mind that would be nearly impossible for her to catch him so he supposed he'd make it a bit easier by moving in a slower pace.
Nausicaä was quick to get up, especially seeing Ulysses was already up and gone. She ran off at a quick start, to try and get Ulysses. To tag him!
Around the second corner he reached he slid against the wall of a doorway and if he was lucky she would run by, giving him a much better advantage than he already had. He quickly pacified his breathing as he watched the doorway, waiting for her to run past.
Sadly for Ulysses, not such luck came. She had almost ran past him, but noticed a glimpse of him, and looked back.
Well s***. The moment she had turned to look at him he started toward the side of the room though he found himself cornered, a coffee table being the only thing hindering her. A grin crossed his lips as if he were trying to edge her on.
She watched as he ran, trying to flee, but she had him targeted. She went to try and go tag him.
The first time she had tried he successfully dodged though he didn't think he had room to do it a second time. Even with her small he couldn't think of a way to maneuver around her without running over her.
She had reached out her hand and tried to tag him, but he escaped. Sadly. But that didn't stop her from trying again, and try again she did.
Eventually when it came down to it she had tagged him, but merely because he was tired of running and the other reason because he managed to get himself in an inescapable position again. How long did this game go on.. He had no clue. He wasn't worked up on the time, thanks to her successfully distracting him, but he had nothing to attend to as far as he knew.
Now he was sitting on one of his couches, not catching his breath, but allowing himself to cool down.

A never ending game that went on and on until both had had a chance to be it which these two had, and it seems Ulysses had surrendered, even if the game was opposite of that. Seeing the game was officially ended, Nausicaä went to go fetch Ozball, whom still sat in the halls.
It was the first time in a while that he found himself tired, usually able to go a full two weeks without even a blink of sleep, but when he did sleep it was much more than eight hours. It was more around the area of eighteen hours and he knew that he couldn't afford to rest with Nausicaä around.
Nausicaa went and retrieved Ozball, before returning back to where Ulysses was, and sitting somewhere else, and setting Ozball beside her. Lightly and slowly kicking her legs back and forth for something to do. She didn't seem to tired from that game, surprisingly, but then again, since when do children get to tired to play?
He momentarily glanced over to her and in seeing that she didn't look at the slightest bit tired, he sighed heavily. With nothing else to do he looked at his watch, realizing they'd spent two hours on that game. Four hours of the day left and it was around dinner time. "Are you hungry?" he asked with nothing in his tone, merely a simple question.
This child could go on, and on, and on with playing games. Indeed she would eventually get tired, but from a few simple games, she would not. She looked up at Ulysses, hearing him begin to speak. When he asked if she was hungry, she nodded slightly once.
((Do you want to do a time skip since we can't really think of anything more to do? Just by a few days.))
(Sure...)
The next three days seemed to go by in a flurry now, Ulysses finding that it wasn't all that bad to be a guardian. Whatever awkward tension had been there before had long ceased and it could be told that he was less on the edge with the situation and may have gotten the gist of it. Breakfast, play, lunch, play, dinner, play, sleep. Quite an easy routine though he would only sit back and watch her eat since he only consumed a large portion once a week. As of now, though, their time was growing short and investigation around the area of shooting was going to be left as is, making it safe for him to take her back.
Ulysses at the moment was on his computer once again, but he knew that whatever he was doing had to be quick since Nausicaä would probably be waking shortly.

As time passed, merely three days but seeing children can't tell Yume it was much longer for her, Nausicaä had grown to trust Ulysses more and more as each day passed. When they had first met she was a quiet child, who would hardly speak to him, even if spoken to. But now she was more open and would talk about a lot of things to him. Rather it was about what she dreamt, or simply to ask from something, she now would speak to him freely, like a friend.
For now she lay quietly asleep in the bed he had let her use, one arm laying ontop of the little stuffed animal puppys back. Sleeping sweet dreams, without a peep from her. As children had no designated time of awakening, nobody knew what time she may wake up. But seeing as though children woke up around the same time repeatably, one could get a guess.
A while pasted, and Nausicaä woke up. And as usual the first thing she did was go to look for Ulysses, after getting out of bed of course.

The mercenary was just leaving his artillery, coming up the stairs into the living room when she had walked in appearing fresh from her bed. Though he didn't say good morning, his expression said it for him and he gestured her to the kitchen, knowing that she needed it eat every morning. He'd taken the time to fill up his once empty pantry as a food supply for her and yes, with the occasional candy.
