She backed up a little when he moved her away so he could shut the door. While he shut the door she looked around in examination to the area around her. She looked up at Ulysses a moment, before looking back around, thoughtful..

He stood and waited for her to begin her little trek for whatever foods she wanted. If he knew what the foods were like he surely would have chosen them for her to speed up the process, however he didn't it the same things as anyone else had.

Nausicaä started to walk forward, to go look about. Trying to decide. She had so many options..it was so hard..it was such a tough choice.

As time flew by his patience was growing thin in seeing that she hadn't even taken a step from her spot. She hadn't even looked around enough, and surely she couldn't see everything from where she stood. Especially with her little height. With no warning he bluntly began towards the stands, expecting her to follow so maybe she could make her decision once she knew what was on display.

She had walked only at a slow pace, so he could easily catch up with her if he wanted, and it seemed he wanted to. Nausicaä looked at Ulysses before following behind him. She followed behind him, taking site to everything, or at least what she could see.

With the people that were there the two had received a few glances, Ulysses not looking as though he and the child had any connection whatsoever, but it was true. He was only affiliated with her because he was forced to be. Even so, he brought no attention, his gaze only flicking between Nausicaä and the stands. Maybe he'd have a small hint of what she'd like.

Nausicaä didn't mind the glares and looks of people as they looked between her and Ulysses. She was to young to care at all what they thought, or what their opinions were, and were not. Nausicaa looked around, then stopped when something caught her eye. A spark of happiness appeared on her face. Almost like she saw a light from the sky shining down on one specific stand. "Candy...!" She said and ran off towards it.

The last thing he thought was that she would take off so suddenly. She went from knowing not what she wanted at all to bolting off to some stand, not even aware of what can happen in the meantime. Of course she didn't get very far when he darted after her and her adolescence, catching her a few steps into her run with a solid hand on her shoulder to jerk her back. Funny how her vision saw nothing of the food, but only the candy. "Candy isn't food," the words were slightly bitter as he glared down at her through his glasses, finding himself irritated once again.

She went towards the candy, until he placed solid hand on her shoulder and jerked her back. She looked u p at him. She was frightened slightly by his sudden action if keeping her away from it, and the bitterness in his voice. She looked down at Ozball, "meanie.." she said.

Meanie? Very ineffective, or so that's what he thought of it. Surely she could have come up with a better word than that, but he had to remember she was a child. There would be no foul words escaping her lips.. yet. Even with her disappointment he continued to disagree with her choice of candy and motioned towards other stands that had food available. "Choose something else," he muttered, his arms crossing over his chest. Maybe she'd hasten if he bribed her. "Maybe we'll get candy afterwards," if telling her to pick food didn't work, this sure would have.

Nausicaa was tempted to stick her tongue out at him, though, she wanted to think that wouldn't be bright. Especially seeing how Ulysses acted towards just about everything. Negative. She looked down poutingly, that is, until he said we might get candy afterwards. She looked at him, he had her full attention. Eyes and ears. She looked at her options, "okay.." she said quietly and resumed looking.

He most likely cut short their time with the offer and silently praised himself for the thought. Strange how he never quite praised himself with anything else, not even a fifteen kill streak. With, now, good intentions he followed her, his eyes trailing for line of sight for what she wanted.

Nausicaä wandered, not paying attention to Ulysses until she saw another thing. She looked at Ulysses, and pointed. Fruit. Oh joy!

It was about time she mad a reasonable decision, and he gave her a single not before walking up to he person who stood behind the stand, a woman who looked to be in her mid thirties. "Puedo tener uno de estos?" he asked, knowing that Spanish was her primary language. She simply nodded, glancing at Nausicaä and back to him before taking the fruit and holding it out to her.

"Here, mija," she urged the girl to take it, "she can have it free."

Nausicaä followed Ulysses over to the stand, and looked up at the lady quietly. Tilting her head when the lady talked gibberish tjat she had no idea what was. She didnt knoe Spanish.
Her blue eyes went to the fruit the last was holding out to her. She held Ozball with her arm and her pale-ish hands reached out and took the fruit. "Thank you.." she said to the lady.

The woman had given her a small smile though it was brief since she had to tend for another costumer who found interest in the fruits as well. Ulysses wanted to question her generosity, but he simply went along with it. The child did as what was asked of her and he couldn't complain anymore. With a faint huff he began towards her primary interest. "Come on," he almost sounded defeated it though he wouldn't know if she recognized it or not.

Nausicaä held Ozball with her right arm, and her fruit with both hands. She followed Ulysses, keeping close. She noticed where he was heading. Candy!

Lucky for him, she didn't pay attention to his sign of defeat in direct. Only the candy.

Of course there were the regular candies and there were the ones alongside, ones from Mexico that consisted of chili powder as the main taste, but it was whatever she chose. He most likely wouldn't have to tell her to choose one, she'd be at it in no time.

Nausicaä looked over the candy once they got to them. She looked over the candy and pointed to one she recognized, and liked. It was just one of the regular candies that people world wide knew about.

At her finger he took initiative and picked up the one she wanted, gave the proper pay then handed over into her small hands. "Don't expect this all the time," he warned though it was nothing too serious. They still had the entire day ahead and the mercenary wasn't sure of what he'd do the remainder of it.
