Similar to a zombie style virus, for some unknown reason a genetic mutation had spread to the population. It started in the Los Angeles area and quickly took over Los Angeles and all of the countries south of it, soon it completely took over South America. however this virus unfortunately was not like a zombie virus, though it did spread through bite it would have been better if those bitten turned into a zombie. At least then they would have been easier to kill…
The best way to describe it would be something along the lines of an anime beastmen. not the ones where they retain a human form and just have animal ears and tail, no it was more along the lines of a large Beast with vaguely humanoid features. while the animals were about the same size as a human being they were significantly larger than a normal animal of that species. the way the bite worked was basically Once Bitten, you would turn into whatever animal you most resembled. It was impossible to figure out which animal hybrid you would turn into before the bite, As scientists were still trying to figure out how this was even possible.
Looking for a group of people, and characters to play roles. If one person wishes to play with multiple different people, go for it. That sounds like fun. Here are some basic roles ideas for people to choose from, if you wish to add one go ahead and respond I'll probably accept it but I at least wish to know which kind of different roles you were thinking of adding to the story.
Scientist- They are basically looking for a cure to this disease as they are calling it that's going around. So far they have been successful.
lab assistants- They have been helping the scientist with looking for the Cure, though they may not be the main scientists they are so important for plot reasons as they may become a scientist. Sadly they are the ones who Are more likely to have to deal with a live specimen that has been captured oh, so the odds of getting bitten are higher.
players that have been bitten-These are players who have already been bitten, and are in an animal like state oh, they are either trying to bite more people, or have been captured. The basics for this kind of thing is they have a very strong human-like intelligence, however they are also very easily swayed by the behavior instincts of their species that they turned into. However they are still able to form very complex thoughts, very human-like Behavior at times, the only problem would be that they have very intense emotions.
Guards-Their basic needs someone to protect the safe Zone, there's different ranks of guards. The highest would be the chief, followed by the experienced, the intermediate, and then the rookies. based on your level that you choose that would be a good indicator of how you basically are not getting bitten. Rookies usually travel in groups, because of safety in numbers and are always accompanied by a leader who is experienced. The intermediate travel in much smaller groups usually have only two and three, and don't have an experienced leader as they tend to all together equal 1. The Experience tender travels in groups of 1, they often take orders directly from the chief or the scientists when they need a new specimen oh, they work very often with Scouts as the scouts will bring information. The chief basically puts people where they need to be and helps to keep the system moving.
Scouts- They are individuals who often go into the field, they don't tend to take orders from the chief they are private contractors oh, they are pretty good at their job considering that they work so low. If multiple Scouts are working together it would mean there is a large migration of these basement and then it would mean there would be trouble with a foot. They often lead researchers And intermediates out into the field when the scientists need a new specimen.
Hunters- They are the ones to basically get called in when the scouts find something that they cannot control, or they feel that there is an actual creature that the guards will not be able to handle. They are people who specialize in putting them down; they don't Tranquilize them like the scouts tend to , knowing they kill them. Hunter's normally travel in groups of two, as they will need a partner to watch their back. Because of the fact that they go for the kill they don't have the option to run away if it seems like a very dangerous situation, like the scouts do.
Locations- The landscape background is rather simple, after Los Angeles fell it quickly turned into something that resembles a forest. much of the land that had been claimed by the beastmen had transformed into a certain type of land, the one near Los Angeles is known as the forest biome oh, there is also a swamp, Savannah, Iceland, plain, and jungle.What species you run into tens to determine on which biome you're in, however Many species tend to move between so it's quite likely to find different kinds of creatures out of sorts almost. So the majority tend to be made up of the biome. The RP will be starting in a military base that is located in the outskirts of the forest biome. it is basically a forest with hills, you will rarely get snow but it does get cold so that's something to keep in mind for the characters.
Base outline-So the base is a pretty simple setup, it is a 3 story research building. So all of the windows are bulletproof and there are many security checkpoints. The basement area which is located underground is basically the lab. There are cellars down there in order to hold the beastmen that have been captured and anyone who was considered a traitor. The second floor tends to be more so quarters, the kitchen and the restrooms. Basically where the Personnel live and do paperwork it's a very standard area. The top floor is basically where they keep the extra arms and ammunition, everyone of course is required to bring some sort of firearm when they go to work in case of an emergency. It's where the people in charge are 10 to work. It also serves as a high vantage point in order to see the area, the entire facility is encased in a 10 ft tall barbed wire on top metal chain link fence specifically designed for these beastmen not to be able to get through. They still can if they try hard enough, however it's not easy. There are two entrances which are normally very heavily guarded, whether it be people wise or Tech wise.

Selena is going to be a scout, she will quite often work with the intermediate and research teams in order to better increase their chances of survival. She is specifically a scout dedicated to the Woodland section which is also known as the forest section.She can come off as very cold and blunt, however she will be close to those she is friends with. she actually likes animals oh, and had been an intern at a zoo before the virus broke out. Since this disease is still pretty new she was 15 at the time. She does smoke never when she's on the clock but she will enjoy an occasional cigarette in the comfort of the base. She however doesn't smoke while on the job because the beastmen would be able to smell it and that's basic Scout 101 not to do. The scientists haven't been successful in a cure, they have been successful in creating a spray which will neutralize a person's scent in the basement and can't smell them over a long distance. Her personal firearm is a M22 rifle, fitted with specialized sleep darts, she also carries a knife on her in case of Coast Range combat. All Personnel that actually go out into the field or given a suit made of a polyester carbon in order for the beastmen to have a harder time biting them. She quite often goes out into the field in order to capture a beastman for the scientists to study.
