Magical properties have flowed through the world for millennia, and intertwined with all living things. Living among us are individuals gifted with the ability to manipulate these magical properties. Witches. Once hunted and in hiding, those dark days have mercifully been left behind. Nowadays, a witch is just another person you pass on the street.
Governed by a ruling council attended by a representative of each major witch family, witches have become the norm and widely accepted in this day and age, and have enjoyed more than 100 years of peace. But now the unthinkable has happened. In what the media is calling the worst witch attack in the last millennia, people are hurt, scared, and demanding answers. The witch responsible for the fiasco is missing and on the run, and the council is desperate for answers. A peacekeeper, an individual with a predestined immunity to magic, has been assigned to the case, and the council hopes to save face by assigning one of their own to help him. As the investigation deepens, they begin to learn that not everything is as it appears.

So I am looking for someone to play the witch assigned to help m/c, the peacekeeper. Y/c can be either gender and have all different kinds of magic. That is one of many elements I am happy to discuss!
Romance is possible but absolutely not required! I’d like to focus first on developing an understanding and friendship between our characters first.

Mundane? What's that? Magic permeates every part of the setting. Almost everyone has access to strong magic.
Modern
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
Romance is slightly desired, but the overall plot is more important.
