A... hat making contest? Huh! She's impressed by this and with this new information she's admiring the creations from afar. "I've never heard of a hat making contest during a ball, but I actually kind of love that." She smiles and waves back at Jacob, when he eyes fall on a team apparently having a bit of a disagreement. She feels sorry for Mini Might, and turns back to the Duchess. "Do they get to take their creations home with them?"

Jacob wondered what would happen if he added a bullet to the image, showing the Werewolf dying mid-howl, he stopped himself from doing so. It would make his design too gruesome and would take his design now. He looked at his hat, he knew it was the best he could do with the little time left. The gold and silver scattered popcorn were the stars and they looked slightly better than just sequin. Jacob smiled back at Madelyn before going back to judging his design, he was being to hard on himself he knew the had designed was fine but everyone else's design was 10x better than his. He was never good with crafts.

"Oh, but of course, if they wish to," answers the Duchess. "I wouldn't dream of parting artists from their art, after all." Some might have some nerves about taking garments made from ingredients provided by the fae with them, but she was such a hospitable spirit, if the things turned out to be accidentally enchanted then surely it would be a good enchantment? Right? "One minute!" she calls out to the teams. "Remember to choose who from your team will model your piece!"

Mimi picked up Mini Might in her arms, the finished hat now on the table. "Do the honours and crown the little dino?" She asked to Tabetha.

Jacob giggled, who from his team would model the piece? There only was one of him so that left him modeling his own piece, he looked at the trim and smiled. This was the best he could do, and the fact he giggled shocked him. He twisted the hat around, knowing it would fit his head and he quickly put on a gold and silver ribbon around the top, the stars now on the top above the ribbon. It looked better then he thought it would.

"Perfect!" crowed the handyman as the final pin went on to the hat. "Yer a genius!" Hearing time about to be called, he throw his hands up in the air to demonstrate that he's not doing anything else to the hat. His cheeks are ruddy red and he is sweating profusely, having been far outside his comfort zone.

"I sized the that to my head so it might be a bit big for you, but you can do the catwalk if you'd like," he says to his new friend from the corner of his mouth, his eyes still locked on the Duchess as if he's looking down a firing squad.

Madelyn nods firmly in agreement with the Duchess. Artists deserved to enjoy their creations! Even if said creations were part of a contest like this! She waits patiently for the deadline to hit; the smell of food is luring her, but she has to see the final products on display before she can indulge in good food.

"Time is running out!" Tabetha bounced back to trying to be all sweet and friendly. Was she acting? Or did she just have a horrible case of anger management problems?

"Absolutely!" Tabetha carefully took hold of the hat and slowly placed it atop of Mini Might's head. "There we are! How adorable!"

The boy nodded, "O-Okay, sure!" He picked up the hat gently and put it on his head. It tipped forward, onto his mask, luckily not taking the mask off. "Ha ha, oops, it is a little big, but I can manage." He said, pushing it back a little.

"TIME!" shouts the Duchess, a huge grin on her face. She gestures to the dance floor, where a ribbon has been laid out in a circle for the contestants to follow. "Will our contestants please strut their stuff for us, so we can admire your creations?"

Jacob placed the hat on his head fast showing he wasn't making any changes the hat was that of a classic top hat, it matched with his outfit as his outfit had some gold and silver bursts spread around it. He realized he had made the outfit match his outfit. He wondered which one would go first, he was to nervous to even make the first step.

The boy peered up at the sound of the Duchess' shout. It was time to show off. "Ohhh-- Wish me luck!" He got nervous, but he said to the Handyman before heading off to nearby the dancefloor, wondering what people would think of the hat...and him. Oh gosh he was nervous...

The handyman sags a bit as time is called, letting out a big sigh. That was more tense than he expected. What had even gotten into him, volunteering to join a DESIGN challenge? Turning to the kid who was helping him, he suddenly found himself quite choked up. "You look fabulous," he blurts, reaching out to adjust the overly large hat. It is covered over in little bits of broken glass, all sparkling in the light, and has a multi-layered striped hat band pinned with a little sun brooch. "Yer gonna shine like the sun out there, kid."

Mimi approached the presentation area, gently setting Mini Might back on the floor so he could show off however he wished. She grinned proudly and said, "You're a cute AND fierce little critter. You got this!"

Tabetha shook her head at the image with a borderline-evil grin. "You're still adorable."

She gestured out to the dance floor once Mimi had set him down. "Now get out there and show them what you are made of, little one!"

The Duchess threads her free arm through Madelyn's, the other hand engaged in holding her glass of champagne. She leads her new friends toward the edge of the dance floor so that they can admire the creations being modeled together.

Jacob walked forward his hat on display on the top of his head, if others didn't like he didn't care.

Suddenly, the handyman reaches out to grab the kid's forearm, quickly whispering, "Hey kid, what's your name?"

Bounces across the floor all hyper and proud making sure this weird thing on his head stays put
