A fair welcome back to you! I can understand the reference to this being a way to escape, but in moderation, that sort of thing doesn't make it escapism, it makes it a pastime. So, enjoying RPR a few times a week like you said, is a good way to just mellow yourself and enjoy a hobby that makes you feel good. I'm the same way -- I work two jobs to aid in my partner's medical expenses and her garbage-can job I'm trying to get her to bail out of. Hah hah hah... But boy, RPR sure hits the spot when that creative urge hits, and I recommend it highly even if it's just popping into the Forum Games to scratch the itch. Nine times out of ten, that's where you'll find me because my time is so incredibly sparse!
I love what you do for a living -- or plan to do for that matter. Congratulations on a profession that is so incredibly meaningful. I love what you will be doing for the little beings on our planet that don't have a voice of their own. You are taking in a big responsibility and my hat is off to you because I didn't have the gumption or guts to do it myself. You are strong-willed to do it and I thank you for it!
So, Nika, I hope RPR can be a better experience for you this time around and that you find time to create new characters or revamp old ones for nostalgic sake! Either way, enjoy your time here, and don't worry about how little that time is, because doing what makes you happy is what's important!

Hello, and thank you! Goodness, it sounds like you've got quite the hectic lifestyle yourself - I wish both you and your partner plenty of happiness, and I hope you manage to find time to relax despite your very busy work schedule. I hope for the very best, so you can take it easy again soon! Oh, and I hope your partner is doing better now as well!
Thank you, I suppose - although I probably won't go to clinical work. I love animals of all shapes and sizes, don't get me wrong - but I know now I'm just not built for that sort of stressful life. That being said, I still want to do my part for the world - and I see myself a lot more clearly in the science behind the medicine, if that makes sense. I'll be trying to go down the PhD route in parasitology - there's currently a huge problem with resistance to antiparasitic drugs in animals, and that is a problem that could spread to humans, as well. Which would be terrible, because imagine having bugs inside of you... And no meds work to get them out. A horrifying future that I want to help prevent by researching the subject more than it is currently being taken care of.
And thank you for your very warm welcome! I'm sure to enjoy my time here as I did before just, as you mentioned - in far more moderation. :')
