As Veus began to make his escape through the hole, he would feel strange presence of something behind him as he climbed through and grab his ankle.

Venus did fine until he felt something grab his ankle.His breath almost got caught in his throat.

"Fo...und... YoU!" Said a voice from behind, it was deep and raspy.

Venus tried to get away.Simple first reaction.Get away and live.Stay trapped and who knows what.

The man gripped Venus leg and pulled on his leg trying to pull him back in the house, he wasn't going to give up so easily. Even if he kicked him as hard as he could the Crooked man would still try his best to hold on.

Venus looked around for a board or something to hold onto, he grabbed one, but it obliviated quickly.He tried again, breaking another board.He tried to scoot away, kicking at the man.

The continued to pull on the kid, he was getting a better chance of dragging the kid back inside after every piece of board he grabbed. Until he was kicked in the face which was hanging from his left shoulder and lost his grip, letting the lucky sucker go.

The boy was glad he felt the mans hand release his leg, but he started trying to crawl away again through the hole.He crawled and crawled.

The man fell over on his back and quickly got back up, he watches looking at the boy crawl away to freedom.

He crawled to freedom, and by the time he was outside, he was covered in dust and debree.

The man stood up and stared at the hole squinting his eyes, the crooked man was not going to let this kid off scot free, no... he was going to do something to get revenge for breaking into his home. The crooked man turned around and walked away. Venus wasn't in the clear...

Venus looked around at the outside world, before pushing himself up.Dusting himself off.

The man walked back up towards the stair case and down the hallway towards the room with the fireplace like before.

Venus looked back at the house, before running off.Off towards home.His home.

The man walked into the room where the fireplace was still lit and burning wood be took a seat in the seat at the couch he was sitting at before and stared at the fire, doing nothing.

Ven ran.Running towards home.Not looking back, but that mans face was on his mind.

The man sat there staring at the fireplace.

Ven stopped on his front porch taking a second to breathe, and then wentinside.

The Crooked man stared at the flames that burned the wood of the fireplace. His body was slouched over and his arm's were rested on his knees, he had a odd depressing look on his face.
