Adalynda stepped into the hallway, uncontrollably shaking, her heart racing. She felt another anxiety attack coming on. "No, no... Don't do this, not today..." she stopped in the hallway, hunching over a bit in desperation, putting her hands out to the wall to support her, her long dark hair covering her pale face.
"What a freak." she hears someone mutter to someone else. She is well aware that they are talking about her, and she is well aware that she is, in fact, a freak. She feels a deep, burning sensation in her chest. No. Not now. One of the girls comes up behind her and shoves her against the wall before walking away laughing. Adalynda's eyes automatically flared into a bright ember and claws protruded from her finger tips. No, this can't be happening! Not here! Stupid pricks... Her chest tightened with fear as she searched frantically for an a way to escape. This can't happen here. Anywhere but here. She was usually able to go to the bathroom and calm herself down, but she knew this time that wouldn't be enough. She began sprinting down a long stretch of hallway, past all of the lockers until she finally made it to the door. She pushed it open and continued running, faster and faster. She heard the alarms sound behind her in the school but she didn't care. She yelped in pain as she felt her vertebrae elongate into razor sharp spikes, and her spine elongate into a long, red scaled tail. She blinked tears from her eyes as she collapsed on the ground, sobbing into her hands. By now she was well into the forest.
"STTTOOOPPPP!!!!" she yelled out into the trees. "MAKE IT STOOOPPPPP!!!!" Her body convulsed as her horns protruded from the sides of her face and her scales formed. "Oh God..." she whimpered, still in pain, her voice shaky. Finally she gathered herself to stand up, revealing her beautiful deep red wings that stretched out far. But, they weren't beautiful to her. They disgusted her. She was a freak. She quickly looked around to check and make sure no one had tried following her or might have seen or heard what just happened.
I kind of have an idea in which someone finds her in the woods and she finds a whole bunch of other 'freaks' like her. (She isn't aware of anyone else who has powers.) And she leaves home to team up with them and defeat some kind of evil? Anyone can join in and make it interesting. That's just the basic idea, I don't have any specifics.

"H-hey... Are you okay?" came a shy, yet deep, male voice. The concerned words seemed to come from up above her and after a few seconds, a gryphon boy that was part wolf rather than lion jumped to the ground for the canopy.
"I... I heard you crying... Is everything alright?" he asked her and took a few tentative steps in the dragon anthro's direction.
If she was paying attention to it, she would find that he was quite handsome. He had the head of a bald eagle, with glossy, white feathers and a yellow beak and atop his head was a mop of black hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt with an unbuttoned, red and yellow plaid button down as well as blue jeans. Under his clothes, from his neck down to the center of his chest was covered in brown feathers and below that he had white wolf's fur and tail as well as paws. Attached to his shoulder blades were a pair of long, powerful wings which were folded tightly against his back. Sitting on his right shoulder was a mechanical owl made with brass gears and small sheets of metal. It hooted once then adjusted itself, it's robotic eyes zooming in onto her.
"I-Is there anything I can do to help you?" he asked her a little bit timidly.

"A... a what??" she shook her head in disbelief. She had heard of gryphons before, in fantasy stories and what not. I guess I've only heard of things like myself in story books, too. She eased herself away from the tree, relaxing her wings a little bit and folding them behind her. Her bright, burning amber eyes dulled in color a bit. "I... I don't understand." she whispered, halfway to herself, looking at the ground.

"What don't you understand?" he asked and the owl hooted again. "please just come with me. We're in danger!" he hesitantly held his hand out to her.
A large cloud of snow and ice could be seen in the distance, at the same school that Adalynda had just escaped. The cloud grew large and later with each passing second until it had enveloped the whole school. An older teenage girl could be see running from the school, her white hair blending in with the blizzard behind her. Once she reached the trees the blizzard disappeared, leaving the school frozen shut. The girl ran through the forest towards the two hybrids, leaving a trail of ice behind her, tears running down her pale face. When she saw the two hybrids she stopped in her tracks, shocked that she wasn't the only freak in the world.

She wondered as she stared in awe. Suddenly, the girl appeared by them. She looked familiar, like she had seen her at school before. She just stood back and waited for an explanation from the girl.

The girl just stood there, unsure what to say in this situation. Ice covered the ground in a circle around her, the air turning colder by the second. "Uh.... Sorry to intrude?" She simply said, looking for a way around the pair. The clearing that they were in was surrounded by close trees, the only exit on the other side of the pair of hybrids.

Addy looked at the girl in confusion. "What just happened? What did you just do?" Her tail flickered back and forth. She glanced up at Percy to see his reaction to the new comer.
The gryphon let out a startled squawk when the other girl appeared with a gust of cold wind and he leaped back, eyes wide.
"C-come on!" he urged Adalynda.

The girl was surprised they could talk, not ever meeting a hybrid in her life. She was about to just tell the girl what had happened when the gryphon grabbed her hand and just stared at her, making her nervous. "Or not." The girl simply said, going over and sitting on a fallen tree in the clearing.

It was about half an hour before they reached a small, rocky outcrop and he pulled her into it, where there was a small cave he had made into a camp. There were a couple sleeping bags and a fire pit and many other supplies.
"We're safe here... For now... It's still way too close to civilization."
