At any given moment there are nearly 450,000 children in the United States foster care. Ranging anywhere from infant to 18, these children are pulled from their families for various reasons: neglect, abuse, and death. On average, each child spends more than 2 years in the system, with a good 6% of them spending five or more years.
Usually moved from home to home, some are reunited with their families, others become available for adoption. However, even then, those who are available for adoption usually find themselves still waiting an average of a year and a half for someone to adopt. And the majority of those that are adopted are younger than twelve.
Your teenagers are usually found to age out of the system, with a high percentage of them seeing themselves homeless, unemployed, or incarcerated.
Despite the system’s attempts: many siblings are split apart due to too many children and not enough foster homes. This adds to the already difficult time a child endures.
With an overloaded system it can be easy for even one child to be neglected.
Would you step up to the plate to help provide a stable, healthy home?

I'm looking at doing a story based on the foster system OR something similar to the concept.
Gabriela is the main character that I built for this but I have several options that could be worked with (listed below).
Ideally, I'd love to play MC against an adult character who can mentor and/or help raise her. This can be a coach, a teacher, a new case handler, foster parents, etc. I'm more than willing to play an adult secondary character to pair against YC if you want. I'll also be playing some of the supporting roles (case handler, etc.) as minor/secondary characters.

As noted, Gabriela is my original for this story but I put together a few other options that will work as well.
Due to the nature of some of the backstories, there is only brief information on each character but feel free to message me for extra information.

- 21+. Some of the backgrounds might be a bit on the mature end so I prefer someone open to that.
NOTE: none of the underage characters are available for romance. - Patient. I don't post every day. I try to post once a week and usually end up doing so far more frequently but it depends on my week.
- Someone open to building the story. I have several ideas but it would be nice to brainstorm together how we take it, working on the different arcs.
- 3+ paragraphs.

Gabriela Sophia Gonzalez-Garcia
Gabriela is intelligent but very burned by the system. She was almost adopted before it went south (see her bio) which eventually led to her go from place to place. She's not completely impossible but her trust of adults is probably the least of the group.
She's basically "doing her time" until she can graduate.
That said - she is a sweet kid. If she lets herself, she likes to be around other people - kind of needs it. If she doesn't feel obligated and it's not too personal, she might even get chatty and chatter about insignificant things.
She also offsets her difficulty with the fact she's a bit more responsible. She avoids parties and other aspects that she knows are illegal or can get her in trouble.
So she might not trust an adult but she's also not going to be the girl late out on a Friday night getting in trouble.
Age: 14-15 years old. Can be played having a younger sister (npc) or without.

She's shy around a lot of adults, especially men and can startle easily at times.
She is one that could technically be played against someone more her age.

Addison
Probably the least jaded of the group, her parents were killed in a car accident a few years back. She's probably the most "normal" (whatever that means) of the characters. A bit on the introverted side she does carry the loss inside her but she doesn't have a lot of issues with authority. Well not any more than any teenager.
