It calls to you. One would think an ordinary old oil lamp encrusted with dirt and time would not really jump out. And one might wonder why it seems to draw you in whereas another day or even moment and you'd never give it a second glance. But it draws the eye, nonetheless. Siting there, nestled between old trinkets and junk - the layer of dust on the whole area indicating that nothing had been touched in a long time. Yet it seems important. It seems something you should pick up.

Yet when you do nothing major happens. The dust fills the air, coats your fingers and clothes. It's an ordinary lamp. Junk almost. Empty inside. The price tag on an old string tied to the handle shows a crossed out $5 and replaced with $2 underneath. Again, it is nothing. Yet it is something. You entertain a childhood fantasy and rub the side, working off some of the dirt to reveal an emerald green beneath it. But nothing happens. No magic genie bursts out. No giver of wishes.

Yet...you can't put it away. You seem to want it regardless. So you take it. You probably can get it for even less than the asking price but even if you can't, it isn't that expensive. Though what would you do with an old lamp?

So I'm circling back to try my one jinni character again. The setting can be modern, fantasy, steampunk (that might be interesting), or historical (to some extent). How your character acquires the lamp is also open - I just put a little fun intro to catch the intrigue

I looking to explore the concept of a jinn, wishes and consequences regarding that, as well build a delightful story.
Your character can fit the world that we find ourselves in.
I might be open to potential romance with my character but that isn't the forefront so it may/may not happen.


What I'm looking for:
- 21+ partner ideally. I do fade to black on anything sexual but at the same time I don't want to have to worry too much about what I can/can't reference with a minor. That and I'm in my early 30s so it just seems a little strange.

- 3+ paragraphs. I don't need a novella but I would love to have at least 3 paragraphs that help me interact and respond. I find it is a little difficult sometimes to come up with a good reply if I'm working with less.

- Patience. I don't always post every day. I do try to get something at least once per week, most of the time more. Just FYI. If you are looking for multiple posts in a day, every day, all the time - we won't mesh.

- I would love to have someone who would build a story with me. Create a world with me vs a visitor to my story. But that isn't mandatory.

There are multiple ways we can do this.
One thing to note: Wishes have consequences/actions. I despise godmodding but there will be things that might happen in the story due to a wish being made. However, I'm fully open to talking about it and anything serious will be noted before. We can talk.
