Lily bit her lip,she was not going to let her tears leave her pale eyes. In her mind this was the time to be strong for them,not a sobbing mess. And she really did kept together,even when D'Kato hugged her and she hugged him back very tightly. This mother would never let him or Leo go again,she would not loss them again."My my,you are certainly tall compared to me,"Lily giggled as tear finally spilled out of her eyes. Then,with a kind smile she held a hand out for Leo.

The younger seemed simply broken in a way,it was as if all of this had shattered.When Lily offered her hand again,he looked away slightly,guilt welding up inside of him. Mother,she was right there,brother he was right there,the last piece of his family and he was stuck to the ground trembling. Thankfully,when Solan gave him light shove he stumbled and ran right into them.That was his breaking point,"..I'm sorry! I'm so sorry."He kept saying to them both. He felt so bad for snapping at his brother,for once he really was wrong and D'Kato was simply right.And Lily,he was sorry for that one night.

D’Kota couldn’t help but smile at his mother’s comment about his height, his eyes glittering with amusement despite the tears glistening in the fathomless depths. Then Leo was there, his little brother finally accepting the physical contact he tried so hard to deny himself. What Leo said, though, that broke his heart, his little brother hurting so visibly, so broken by all life threw at him, so desperate for those lost bonds. Daring to wrap around his baby brother, holding Lily and Leo close, he shook his head and accepted the beautiful reunion for so long as it lasted.

“I’m sorry, too, Leo,” he breathed, swallowing the lump trying to form in his throat. “I’m just so happy to finally have my mother and my baby brother in my arms.”

"Ahah,my little angels,my precocious angels."Lily said,hugging them tightly.Although,she could not help but think that out of the three that Leo was a seriously emotional person there.Well,it was better then him being detached from his emotions. Leo shuddered,but didn't really say anything else,after all his words and actions did get them into this beautiful mess.The teenage boys opened up slightly,and for a second Lily felt her heart race,she was afraid he was lost it again but he didn't.e didn't care,what kind of brother would he be if he did.

"Ah,you two do realize I should be holding you right?"Lily asked,trying to lighten things up a bit. "Oh and by the way,you two are still in trouble."

Leo smield a bit,but at the same time winced. Nothing changed about her,that was good.

Leo’s acceptance of D’Kota’s embrace warmed his heart, bringing a smile to his lips. Their mother’s attempt to lighten the mood deepened his smile, but what followed…he felt deeply ashamed of his behavior, about arguing with his baby brother. Leaning down to press an affection kiss to their mother’s forehead, he stepped back and shrugged helplessly. What could he say? That he wanted things to be normal so desperately he ignored Leo’s feelings? That he wanted his family so deeply that he tried to pretend Leo was just making up excuses? No, he could never say such things and he never felt his brother lied. Sighing at his own behavior, D’Kota shook his head and glanced at their mother from beneath thick lashes before facing his little brother.

“I really am sorry, Leo. I handled this very poorly. It’s not an excuse, but I do want you to know…” he murmured softly, not quite meeting his brother’s gaze, shame burning through him. “You mean so much to me. I am here, Leo, and I will do everything to not only protect you, but to always stand at your side.”


Solan chuckled faintly, knowing from his own wives that a mother never forgot. A father…well, a sweet smile and a warm hug often drove a father to forget the mischief or bad behavior. A mother, though, she welcomed that gentle affection just as purely, but those adorable tricks simply never worked. He didn’t say anything, though, unwilling to interrupt or intrude. D’Kota and Leo had all they needed at the moment, and Lily had her sons.

Leo opened his pale eyes again,his glasses had slipped down the bridge of his nose.Although,something said he didn't really care,and more importunately something was different. The boy wasn't frowning,nor scowling he was smiling. Lily smiled at the two,and then looked up at D'Kato. She understood why he reacted the way he did,let's just say that Lily had a pretty good feeling the two would be head strong.A long sigh came from her,that meant there would be a lot more fights in the future but at least they were strong. Once Leo let go Lily fanned her self,"Oh,geez. I love you two,but on top of petticoats and all of this lovey family stuff I was melting."She joked,and then fell very quite.

He took his glasses off,for a moment it had seemed like he wasn't going to say anything. Or he would and not look at his older brother. Although,soon enough his pale gaze met his older brothers and he nodded,"..I suppose we were both in the wrong...at least we know some things that make each other tick."Leo pointed out,glancing back at Solan,then Lily and then back up at D'Kato.

"Oh god,the boys!"Leo said,quickly spinning on his heel and started towards his uncles house.He stopped,"..Aren't you coming,big brother."

He nodded at Leo’s response, his little brother very right. As for their mother, well, D’Kota found her to be absolutely adorable, her cute attempts to lighten the air, her very ladylike behavior, and her smile coming together to exceed any image he’d had of her before then. In fact, he was studying her when Leo suddenly spouted off and continued on at a somewhat faster pace. What Leo did next, though, caught even him off guard. Smiling and ducking his head, he looked toward their mother, bowed faintly, and turned to join his brother.

“Of course,” he assured, coming to stand beside Leo, resisting the desire to ruffle his little brother’s hair. “We might want to rescue your uncle. Besides, it’s getting late and I’m hungry.”


Solan joined Lily and offered his arm, more than willing to escort her if she chose to remain with them for the time being. He knew she couldn’t stay, but…now that she knew her sons were alive and well, she could visit any time she so desired. “A more beautiful reunion I cannot imagine, Lady Lily,” he murmured, looking from the brothers to their mother. “Their good boys, good men. They’ll find their way, I don’t doubt.”

Leo looked up at him,"Very well..ugh,I don't want to know what they've done to the place."He said with a heavy sigh. Leo slid his glasses before he continued walking. After all of that he could not deny the very fact the something he had lost a long time ago that could only blossom when playing internments. Joy, happiness,but he felt this without those things..it was refreshingly different and some what new.

Lily giggled as she took his arm gently,she wasn't doing any thing that was all that important. Besides,she could use a change of scenery."Ahah,I would have preferred under different conditions,but I cannot really disagree.I cannot really disagree with anything you say,granted I would have been more than thrilled to be there to guide them,to comfort and help them...But,now I see that they are different and amazing in their own ways."She said,agreeing whole heartdly.The young woman looked at her right palm and then at D'Kato,and then at Leo."..I figure D'Kato already know about what he is..and I also assume you would agree with my old teacher,he says Leo should know what he is.."

“They can’t be that bad, can they?” D’Kota asked, walking at Leo’s side, aware Solan and Lily followed them. His thoughts turned to these children his brother apparently took care of, wondering how young they were, and just how destructive. Spoiled children could indeed be a handful, but he couldn’t see Leo tolerating too much chaos going on around him. At least, D’Kota hoped because he really didn’t want to see him home destroyed, the house not much, but it was his. “How old are they, Leo?”


Escorting Lily with a smile, Solan listened to the conversation between D’Kota and Leo as well as paying close attention to all the beautiful lady as his side said. Not surprised when she turned to a more serious topic, he flashed a comforting smile and nodded. “I’m afraid so, Lady Lily. I know you only want to protect him, but he cannot win a battle he doesn’t know he wages. He needs to know the truth of his heritage, to come to terms with what he is so that he can bring his two half into balance and become whole. I’m sure I don’t need to point out the alternative, one none of us wants to see come to pass.”

"Well..they aren't that bad,one of them isn't anyways.He just has a nasty tendency to raid kitchens for anything sweet.."Leo sighed,he could already imagine who he was talking about,Xerxes,getting into everything.Maybe his uncle was asleep,he certainly had high hopes for something like that.Especially if Xerxes older twin was up and sneaking about."Ah..."He paused for a moment,"..Somewhere around six to seven."Leo finally said.

A buzz of excitement went through her,she knew who Leo was talking about.But,she still remained deadly serious and thoughtfully.Lily let out a long sigh,"Trust me,I know. That is something Vince has not been very district with,however,I don't know how anyone could tell him..."She replied.Then again,she really did have to realize that Leo would now realize why he had the unfortunate fate of being immortal."..At the moment we have a lot time,more then any one else like him would have."Lily tried to stay on the brighter side.

“They sound about normal for that age. Always on the go, curious, full of life,” D’Kota commented softly.

He didn’t add how strange it seemed that Leo wasn’t more specific about their age, particularly when he took care of the children. Either his brother was being elusive again or he really wasn’t sure how old they were. D’Kota didn’t push the age issue, knowing he’d find out soon enough, and unwilling to continue speaking. He’d talked more in the last hour than he had in years even with Solan at his side. Of course, his spiritual companion accepted D’Kota’s quiet nature, understanding a lot of that was because of his childhood. Leo just as quiet, he doubted they’d have issues over the lack of conversation.


“We do indeed,” Solan agreed, gently patting Lily’s hand, silently reassuring her that everything would work out for the better. At the same time, he knew they couldn’t wait too long or Leo’s incompatible halfs would begin to tear the poor young man apart, literally and figuratively. “If you’d like, I can explain everything to Leo. I assure you, I will be gentle and help him come to terms with all that he is and what that means for him.”

"Yeah."Leo said,he wasn't entirely sure about that.
In truth,Leo really didn't know how old they were suppose to look aside from children at the moment.He kept wondering how Gilbert will react to this,his younger twin would be fine but that was just because he was an outgoing little thing.Leo slowed down when his uncles house came into view,seemed like he was about to find out.He nodded to himself before walking toward the house again.

Lily knew all of this,and she had heard of him struggling with a sever headaches at times.What did that really mean then..She shook her head."Hmm?"Lily looked at him and smiled,"Oh,that would make my day,I doubt I would be the best person to explain things to Leo,since when I found out about what I was and they were and you I nearly fainted!So for you to explain things would be a weight off of my shoulders."Lily replied happily.

D’Kota followed his brother toward the house, studying the building with a critical eye, noting every window and possible exit. Still, the closer they drew to the front door the more tense he became. Not that D’Kota would spin and bolt, his distaste for buildings he wasn’t familiar with simply shining through. Clamping down on that instinctive reaction, he looked back to check and make sure Solan and Lily hadn’t fallen too far behind. That they were locked in deep conversation didn’t escape him, whatever they said unintended for Leo or his ears. Unwilling to intrude, but satisfied they were keeping up, he continued on after Leo, silently wishing all of this was taken care of and they were home.


“I would be honored, Lady Lily, to take care of this. And don’t worry. Leo is strong. He may resist the truth at first, but he’ll come to accept, and find peace within himself. Both of your sons are strong. You’ve a lot of reason to be proud,” Solan assured softly, all the while fully aware of D’Kota’s unease, knowing the cause. He didn’t do anything, though, giving D’Kota the opportunity to overcome his own fears. “For now, though, I have a feeling this is going to be rather interesting…the little ones, Leo, and D’Kota all coming together.”

The closer,if D'Kota were to look at the window yet again he would notice a boy,pale skin black lose burly hair and brilliant golden eyes. His pale fingers waved through the window,dark figures moveing back and forth until those golden eyes fell on Leo and then D'Kato.His golden eyes widened as he slipped out of sight. He was never there,or so he hoped the very tall man would believe.
Leo stopped at the door and swallowed as he turned the door knob to open it.What was he going to find? What were they going to do to him for forgetting about them.With a gentle push he opened the door just as a white headed boy ran past them,and Leo's uncle following the child very closely.Leo visibly winced when he heard a crash in the next room."..oh god,save us now."

Lily smiled again as she nodded. She was very proud of them,not proud that they were fighting earlier or the fact that Leo seriously tried pushing his older brother away like that. However,that was just how they were wasn't it,and Lily would not complain nor try to change them in any way. She loved them for how they were."Ahahah,I just hope you guys won't have your hands full with the twins."She said,laughing.

Catching movement out of the corner of his eye, D’Kota looked over to watch in wonder at the shadows dancing in the window…until the adorable little boy spotted him and darted out of sight. Smiling in amusement, he caught what his brother said, coming close to laughing. “I think perhaps your uncle would much rather you save him and gather the little ones before they destroy what’s left of his home,” he countered, coming up behind Leo, reaching past him to push the door the rest of the way open and motioned for his brother to go inside.


Solan chuckled and winked at Lily. “I assure you, my lady, I have quite a way with little ones. The truth is I love children…their purity, their innocence, their insatiable curiosity. I find it quite enjoyable watching them explore their world and discover themselves,” he pointed out, patiently waiting for Leo and D’Kota to lead the way into the currently chaotic house.

Leo glanced up at D'Kota,he knew that,he just didn't want to be their next target.Even so,this was very invertible,that was something he knew very well. He stepped inside of the house,looking both ways wondering what exactly was going on."..Leo.."A small voice pipped up from behind the front door,Gilbert.He was looking at D'Kato yet again,and again he slipped out of sight."Oi! Your late!"The other boy shouted from down the hall.Yes,he knew he was late but that wasn't going to change anything.

"D'Kato,meet Xerxes Yin."Leo said when the boy walked up.
Xerxes looked up at him with mis-matched eyes,one was golden like his brother but the other crimson.His snow white hair fell in his face when he looked at the floor,wondering why that name sounded familiar.

The mother giggled,she wasn't surprised by this in fact she kind of expected something like that from Solan."Ah,that is true and these two are like that in a different way,but the are just so cute!"Lily cooed.

D’Kota looked over at the sound of that meek voice, catching a glimpse of the little boy who’d played with shadows in the window just a few minutes before. A second later, he heard another pipe up, glancing over to find a beautiful little boy with mismatched eyes gazing up at him. Smiling faintly, he inclined his head. “Nice to meet you, Xerxes, and your brother,” he greeted softly, letting the boy hiding behind the door know he’d been spotted.


“Perhaps, but I find the diversity of humans and children in general to be one of their most redeeming qualities. They make life so interesting, so unpredictable,” Solan admitted, watching from his position as Xerxes, Gilbert, and D’Kota met, more or less, for the first time in over three hundred years. D’Kota would not remember the twins, no, but obviously Xerxes remembered him. Funny how life worked out, these people who once knew each other so long ago finally coming back together. “That’s a good thing when you’ve lived as long as I have, trust me. Besides, no matter their individuality, children absolutely amaze me.”

"D'Kato..D'kato.."Xerxes muttered to hismelf,and as if a light bulb went off in the boys mind he remembered."You're Lady Lily's first son,and you're with Leo...which mean he knows..and now he knows that I knew he had an older brother."Xerxes said,slowly turning away from them.Leo looked at Xerxes,he reached and,grabbing the boys sleeve before he could run off.
"..D'Kota.."Gilbert said softly,looking at him from behind the door."Hmm..y-you grew up?"

Lily slipped her hand out of his so she could clasp her hands behind her back."I suppose I have something in common with you.I also love children,no matter how old they seem or really are."Lily said looking over at the group. One really did have to wonder if everything the twins were saying would confuse Leo and D'Kota.It was safe to say Leo was a bit confused,but he was a smart boy and terribly curious about things like this.She looked at Solan with a smile.

He didn’t expect that, D’Kota surprised when Xerxes admitted to not only knowing about him, but having met him before. At least, that’s what he gathered from the babbling escaping the adorable little boy. Before he could say anything, the other little boy spoke up, D’Kota turning to peek at the tiny boy watching him from behind the door. Well, that confirmed it, the boys apparently having met him…he’d wager before his father took him away from his mother.

“I did,” he responded softly, crouching down so he wasn’t imposingly tall to these tiny boys. “And who would you be?”

Admittedly,Leo was slightly annoyed that Gilbert and Xerxes would hide something like this.How do you forget to tell someone that you have an older brother.Then again,he did know their older brother and the twins knew Leo very well,so no doubt they all figured them actual meeting would be easier then speaking about him.Leo let go of Xerxes sleeve when he stopped trying to get away from them,the white headed boy had clearly figured out he wasn't going anywhere.

Gilbert blinked a few times,his timid tendencies were coming into play.He was being timid before,hence him slipping behind things."Gilbert."Leo said,noticing him going to hide again.However this time he didn't really get anywhere since Leo had walked over and picked the child up,even if it was a bit difficult when Gil compared to him in height.Even so Gil just rested his head on Leo's shoulder not willing to speak anymore,"This is Gilbert,Xerxes's older twin brother."Leo said with a sigh.

D’Kota’s experience with children was minimal, putting him in a situation where he could do nothing more than watch the antics of the adorable twins. Needless to say, he quickly noted the drastic personality differences, Xerxes bold and outgoing while Gilbert was more timid and insecure. They were both adorable, though, that undeniable, the way Xerxes tried to escape in search of more adventure only to submit to Leo’s will, Gilbert trying desperately to use the door as a shield between he and D’Kota. Smiling in amusement when Leo finally capture the shyer boy, D’Kota rose to his feet, gazing down at both boys…silently praying that did wreck havoc on his home.

“Definitely a handful, but they’re worth it, I’m sure,” he stated, reaching over to gently ruffle Gilbert’s hair.


Solan knew Lily waited on baited breath, aware she wanted nothing more than to join her sons and the adorable children. Sliding a hand to the small of her back, he gently guided her toward the house. “I’ve no doubt they’ll be as happy to see you as you are them, Lady Lily,” he pointed out, motioning with his other hand toward the house. “Go on. Go see them.”
