Gilbert took a few steps forward, squeezing his wrist since no one else was there for him to cling to. He was sure that he had felt something from here, but those golden eyes couldn't find anything. He hardly registered Leo calling him, and Solan, he thread them but to be blunt;he didn't really care. The desire to figure out what was going on, what that was, was preoccupying him. One careful step forward, nothing seemed different.
Leo shook his head, clearly just as baffled as everyone else in the room. No,Gilbert had never done this before. At he figured Gil came in the room to see if everything was alight now, but when he didn't answer is what threw Leo off. "..Even if he had done this before,I wouldn't know. His older brother,Vincent, would most likely know...well,if he were here that is."Leo told D'Kota glancing up and back at his brother.
The boy jumped, and quickly back peddled from where he heard the voice. His golden eyes grew wide with fright, but there was still curiosity in his eyes. "..W-Who said t-that?""He said, looking around.

“He sees something we don’t,” Solan murmured, turning to search the area that had Gilbert’s undivided attention.
He couldn’t sense anything, though, which could mean any number of things, including the simplest of them all…something blocked him, prevented him from sensing anything out of the ordinary. That left them dependent on Gilbert to find out if they were in danger or just what was there. However, before Solan could ask, the older twin jumped and scrambled back as if he’d seen or heard something that startled him, the question that followed confirming as much. What he did know is they were being watched.
D’Kota’s frown deepened, the situation not one that he liked, something about this, about the way Gilbert behaved unnerving. The poor boy’s reaction to whatever he heard or say that they didn’t just made him worry more. Could this be Yume? Worse yet, one of her minions? Somehow he didn’t think so, instinct warning this was something different, but he had no way of know what and Gilbert wasn’t talking. At least not to them.
Husky laughter rumbled up from him, Wraith ducking his head to look at Gilbert through the silken strands of his dark hair. “You should know me. After all, you’ve spent quite a bit of time playing with my shadows,” he answered, aware the boy feared him, and yet, wanted to find out who and what he was and if he was a threat. “Don’t you recognize me”

Once Leo began to panic Leo shot up to his feet."Yeah..that's a given."He said to Solan. Leo knew it wasn't anything that dealt with an entity, the boy had never seen one in his life. In fact Gilbert often said he never wanted to see a dark entity. Aside from that,Leo couldn't think of anything else. Until Gil said shadows, so this was something familiar to the sweet boy.
Gilbert seemed to relax within seconds of hearing that. The shadows. There was a lot that he wasn't entirely sure about, but at the same time he didn't feel like he was in any danger. He just frightened the young boy,"..The shadows...that's why I came in here."He spoke slowly and quietly. Gilbert took another steps forward,"..how come you insist on hiding?"He asked Wraith. That was what was on the child's mind, was there a reason he was hiding?

Solan slowly rose to his feet, D’Kota taking a step toward Gilbert, stopping a second later when the oldest twin spoke again. He glanced back at Solan, but the guardian shook his head to indicate he didn’t know what was going on or who Gilbert spoke with. “Gilbert, who are you talking to? Who’s there?”
He looked from Gilbert to Leo, his brother, and the guardian. “Not everyone welcomes the shadows, Gil. Not everyone welcomes me,” he whispered, studying the three adults in the room, weighing them, measuring them. Not that he had anything to worry about, none of them able to enter his realm, not without his guidance, thus they were no threat to him. Still, Leo intrigued him as much as Gilbert, although for completely different reasons. “You, though, you like the shadows, don’t you?”

Gilbert's golden gaze went to the three as if to say hold on before looking back at Wraith. Not everyone welcomed that shadows. He looked at his hands, stunning them a bit, the same hands he played with the shadows. Unfortunately he knew that one was true, you figure things out like that after being alive for so long. Which was one of the reasons why he did generally hide things like that from regular human beings in the hopes of not frightening anyone. Funny since the boy was more terrified of people then they would be of him. He looked up again,"..The shadows..they often distract me from anything that bothers me,they are..like black silhouette friends... You,why dose your presence feel like the shadows?"Gilbert asked.
Wraith flashed an almost boyish smile, well aware Gilbert basically told the other to wait, the boy apparently refusing to answer their questions. “Why does my presence feel like the shadows?” he repeated softly, catching the corner of his lip between his teeth. He realized Gilbert could very well turn around and tell Leo and the others everything Wraith told him, but was there really any harm in that? No. “Because the shadows are mine, Gilbert.” As if to prove his point, he turned his gaze to a shadow just inches away from the boy, willing it to move and dance about like a marionette without strings, the little shadow puppet bowing to Gilbert at the end of its little performance. “They belong to my realm.”
The boy people often called sweet nodded his head when Wraith repeated his question. No doubt the child was more than happy that he found someone that knew about the shadows, that could also control them. However, the way he said they were his kinda disturbed the boy,he took a small step back but the shadow he had created stopped him. Gilbert's' golden eyes watched the puppet like shadow as a smile slowly crept up on his pale face. By time the puppet was down he was smiling and seemed to enjoy that little show. "Your realm?,"Gilbert looked back,"..just who are you again?"He then asked him.
Gilbert then jumped out of his skin, he hadn't realized that Leo had walked over to him. Now the teenage boy placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. "Gilbert, what's going on?"Leo asked the boy.

He rose to his feet as Leo came up behind Gilbert, studying the other closely, noting the emotional storm burning in those eyes, the torment buried deep within. “I don’t believe I ever said,” he murmured, stepping back and fading away.
Wraith didn’t leave, though, no. He simply relocated, coming around behind all of them, watching as they struggled to understand what was going on and who Gilbert spoke with. However, this time Wraith stepped from the shadows, curious as to just how long it’d take them to realize he was there and just which one of them would pick up on his presence first. He’d wager it’d be a tie between Gilbert and the guardian, Gilbert tied into the shadows too well and the guardian keyed into the very planet. Of course, he could always be wrong, but then that was the fun of not knowing…the discovery.

"W-wait don't go yet!"Gilbert said to Wraith, really no wanting him to leave yet. Then Gil face Leo,he really looked worried about the boy ever since he was frightened at first.Gil gave Leo a small reassuring smile, he didn't know if he should answer. Especially since the shadow man had vanished. "..I don't know.."He told Leo and the others.
Leo sighed, at least he was alright. The teenage boy ruffled Gilbert's soft curly hair, that made the boy giggle a bit."Next time, say something will you?"Leo asked the child. He tilted his head at Leo, that golden gaze going to Wraith."..Ever since all of you were so worried, and want to know who I was talking to you can ask him now. His standing behind him."Gilbert told them. Leo frowned, and then stood up,facing the person Gil had been talking to earlier.

Solan picked up the unexpected presence just as little Gilbert said something. Spinning around, he found himself staring at a tall lean young man with dark hair and violet eyes…very pale violet eyes. Strange how, as light as those eyes were, there was something very dark about the young man…and something else. Narrowing his eyes, tilting his head, Solan arched and elegant brow as realization dawned. So Leo’s little episode drew attention, just not the kind any of them would’ve expected.
“Interesting…” he breathed softly.
D’Kota stood not too far from Leo, his odd gaze on little Gilbert, his brow furrowing as he tried to understand just what was going on. What the tiny boy said…that sent icy chills racing down his spine as he turned to find a young man almost as tall as him standing there, those pale eyes piercing, that smile eerie. “Who…who are you? How did you get in here?”
Wraith looked from the guardian to the older brother, his smile deepening. “I can go anywhere the shadows touch the earth. In other words, locked doors don’t mean much to me,” he answered softly, but then he turned his attention to Leo. Ducking his head, gazing at the other through the dark strands of his hair, he slowly strolled toward the other, making no secret of studying the teen. “Little Gil here, he manipulates my shadows, touches my world, so he’s sensitive to my presence…and that of my denizens.”

Leo narrowed his eyes a bit, stepping in front of Gilbert. Call him a bit over protective with the twins, but it was a force of habit. He didn't know this person that remained nameless, although he swore Gil asked who he was. Wait, maybe it was that they weren't asking they right question. Still, would Leo actually speak to this person, even he made the the teenage boy rather nervous. Now, he was watching this man slowly walk over to him,his eyes narrowed even more.
"..What's you're name? More to the point, what brings you here?"Leo asked the young man, watching him closely.
Gilbert looked up at Leo when he glanced back at him. He was his denizens, what was that suppose to be. "Gilbert, what are you doing?"He heard Xerxes ask, he looked back to see his younger twin walking over to him. He frowned at Gil, and kept his arms crossed. "..Not looking for any more trouble,I promise?"Gilbert said to his twin.

D’Kota quickly stepped in between the stranger and his brother, not about to let him near Leo or Gil until they knew who he was and what he wanted. What he didn’t count on was the stranger suddenly disappearing. Spinning around, seeing no sigh of the elusive man, he finally turned to Solan. “What the hell…” he asked in mounting frustration, Solan simply shaking his head at him, letting him know his spiritual twin wasn’t absolutely sure about this stranger.
He had to give the older brother credit, his efforts to protect Leo admirable…or they would be if Leo was in danger. However, Wraith simply bypassed him via the Shadow Realm, slipping back into the room right behind Leo. “You do,” he whispered, stepping into the shadows before Leo could turn to face him, coming back out near the living room windows. “Wraith.”

"..What's going on?"Xerxes whispered to his twin. Gilbert shrugged, that was their way of saying I'll explain things later but there are some things I don't understand either. Gil reached out for Xerxes hand, and after a few seconds he took his older twins hand. The twins then looked up at the others, watching and waiting to see what would happen next? Who he was? Why he was here?
Leo looked up at D'Kota, he didn't trust this person either. And the mere fact of what he had just done had only made Leo become more on edge, the temptation to pull his sword out was very strong at this point. It only grew when Wraith whispered from behind him, the looked only to find a wall. He had disappeared yet again, this was getting very annoying to him. But,with a sigh he looked over at the young man named Wraith,"..Wraith,huh?"Leo echoed.

D’Kota didn’t like this…Wraith shifting from one place to the other in the blink of an eye, proving he couldn’t even protect Leo. His eyes narrowing, he spun and faced Wraith, a silent warning burning in the fathomless depths. “What do you mean Leo brings you here?” he growled, glancing back to note Xerxes joined them, the twins side by side, and likely safe being the panther joined them, standing guard over them. Reaching over, D’Kota snagged Leo and pulled his brother around behind him. “What is it you want?”
“Nothing, actually,” Wraith answered, his attention on the beautiful, sleek panther coming to stand before little Gilbert and his…twin apparently. He did look at the older brother and Leo, though, a devious smile teasing his lips. “I…shall we say…sensed his little outburst. Curiosity drove me here, especially when you consider just how rare our kind are. Little Gil there was an unexpected surprise, although now that we’ve met…he is somewhat familiar to me.”

Leo stumbled when his brother pulled him behind D'Kota. For once,he didn't mind that his brother was being protective, he was doing something that Solan suggested. And that was not being his stubborn usual self, it was hard to not protest at the same time very easy. Leo just kept looking at Wraith,he was the reason he was here?"..earlier..he sensed that."He said to himself, and then tilted his head,"..our kind?"Leo echoed, was this Wraith person like him?
Xerxes looked at Gilbert,"..He says that the shadows are his."He told his twin. This caused Xerxes to look over at Wraith, so, they could most likely sense each other. That did explain why his older brother left Lily and Shadoe.

“Yes, our kind,” Wraith said, pulling out a cigarette and lighting it, taking a hard drag before he looked Leo and his brother’s way again. Interesting how Leo seemed to accept his brother’s efforts now, the talk with the guardian apparently doing the younger brother some good. At least, Wraith assumed as much, their specific situation something he wasn’t privy to, although something told him he’d find the story interesting. “That’s what actually caught my attention. I just didn’t expect you to be so…unaware as to what you are, much less so protected. That’s a good thing, though, at least for you. Not so much for those that would hunt you if they knew you existed.”
Relieved Wraith finally started speaking, D’Kota listened to the young man’s explanation. Suddenly, maybe speaking wasn’t such a good thing after all, everything Wraith said not making him feel too terribly good. “Hunt him? Why in the hell would anyone hunt him?” he countered, glancing back at Leo, frowning in concern. “There’s no reason to hunt Leo.”

So, he was half angel, half demon just like Leo was,but he was one that smoked. That was enough to make Leo glare at him again. After all, there were twins that had never been exposed to smoke once in their long lives, and that was a blessing in this day in age. Leo raised an eyebrow at this Wraith character, how did he know that Leo just now found out what he was? Had he been eavesdropping this whole time?! "Wait, what? Haunt me?!" Leo said, he didn't know that could happen. Why would anyone want to haunt him?
“Try telling that to them, but don’t expect them to listen,” Wraith began, looking from Leo’s brother to Leo to his cigarette. Shrugging faintly, he glanced back at the window, a shadow tendril slithering up to open it up a crack, sucking the smoke outside. “You see, they don’t care if we’ve done anything wrong or if we’re innocent. They couldn’t care less if we even realize what we are or if we’re oblivious to our heritage. As far as they’re concerned, we’re abominations that have no right to life, and they fully intent on ending us. Just why your little brother hasn’t been hunted yet…I’d say that’s because someone is shielding him, preventing them from seeing him. Lucky boy.”
He looked back at Leo, deep fear for his brother ripping up through him. Wraith never specified who they were, but D’Kota didn’t give a damn. He’d give his life to protect his mother and brother and never once regret his sacrifice. Still, he realized knowing where the threat came from increased their chances of keeping Leo alive. “Who are they, Wraith?”

Still, he realized knowing where the threat came from increased their chances of keeping Leo alive. “Who are they, Wraith?”
Leo,yes he realized that D'Kota was protecting him,but he still took a step out from behind him. He wanted actual answer, not little riddles here and there, it wasn't helping anyone. If anything it was stressing both of the boys out to no end. "Enough."Leo told Wraith,he spoke firmly. The younger brother glanced at the older brother before taking another step forward. "We have have enough of these elusive answers, all you're doing is stressing everyone out. So do us all and actual say the full answer."Leo said to Wraith, slowly narrowing his eyes yet again.
Wraith didn’t respond to Leo at first, his head ducked, his gaze locked on the teen, his ice violet eyes flashing in irritation. Now he couldn’t even begin to claim innocence, to pretend he’d never done anything wrong in his short life. No, he’d done plenty and quite intentionally, but not this time. He hadn’t meant to stress anyone out, nor was he being deliberately elusive. In fact, Wraith considered seeing if he could help Leo, more than willing to do what he could to aid one of his own kind. However, he put up with enough from the angels and demons that relentlessly hunted him, Leo’s attitude not something he’d stick around to suffer.
“Ah-huh,” he whispered, nearby shadows elongating and stretching toward him, his corner of the room growing darker. Wraith took a single step back, the shadows beginning to pull him into his own realm, a dimension none of these, not even Gilbert could reach. “How’s this for elusive?”
“Leo!” D’Kota warned, but he was too late, Wraith not responding well to Leo’s particular brand of social skills. Snagging his little brother, he dragged Leo back behind him, shooting him a look that warned Leo to keep quiet. “Wraith, wait…”
Solan remained quiet up until that point, but he had his reasons, the greatest being that D’Kota and Leo were working together. He’d wanted them to figure this out together, to learn just what Leo’s situation was and come up with a way through all of this as brothers. Unfortunately, Leo really had pulled back from people so much he couldn’t read them, and that left him facing off with a possible ally they really needed. More to the point, Leo really needed him, Wraith knowing more about their world, the dangers they faced, and the path to balance than any of them despite his youth. They couldn’t afford to let Leo chase him off, not if they wanted Leo to survive this mess.
“Leo, I don’t think he’s means to be elusive,” he quickly point out, joining his spiritual twin. “I believe Wraith simply assumed you know more than you do, but I’m hoping you understand this much. We need him.”
