I hand-feed my sweet little Scamp. She doesn't bite, just gently pokes her tongue out to grab up the food. (Well... if it's alive, then she'll bite and shake it once it's in her mouth. )

The lizards are egg-eaters.

The wording in one of the news clippings is a little weird.
Like, I know it takes resources to make an egg, but that makes it sound like the Struth were getting their eggs from somewhere else.
