haha at my pathfinder game last night, I just went off on a 30 min tangent about our lizard war with walrus army too.. so like.. our all rl friends can suffer us during epic week

looll when the dragon showed up, I just shoved my phone in my neighbour's face like 'LOOK A DRAGON SPAWNED' and he's like.. ???????????
Like, the first year with combat, it was a little silly, but things fit together pretty neatly. We adventurers having a party that goblins invaded, so why wouldn't we have weapons available and something like party hats to heal?
And now it's just the riders and the dragon. Yay.

So let's see... the puzzle/trivia aspect first showed up in 2014.
In 2015, goblins invaded and started wrecking the party, and brought in the Many-Headed Cyborg Dragon (who we freed and sent to be rehabilitated, via petition to Kim).
In 2016, we had to deal with goblin ghosts, spiders, and kudzu that had been taking over the forest we'd accidentally wrecked with all our misses the prior year, and the MHCD returned to help us against the spider queen. That's when seed pods were first introduced, too, because we had to replant the forest.
In 2017, the aliens first showed up and we had to gather space scrap to do anything about it, and Moa started offering weapon repairs for hats. Also, we got energy swords and crystals to turn them pretty colors!
In 2018, Kim led us on a seafaring adventure in which we had to fight even more goblins (including underwater), a ship, and a kraken. This was also the introduction of crafting, and is why the images for the "throwable oils" are still named "fishoil" - they were crafted from fish and bottles we found floating around with messages!
2019, we explored a strange labyrinth full of mechanical beasts, and a different set of items to craft with, and were first able to obtain superpowers by touching magic crystals.
In 2020, time travel happened. We had to fight the aliens again, and then the dinosaurs they grabbed and cyborg'd, and we got 2x the MHCD helping to take down the brontobot-riding Imperial Xenobeast.
In 2021, we had to stop a volcano from destroying... well, everything. Got to fight undead, imps, lava monsters, and some elementals that were unnecessarily cute. This was also when the farming game arrived, since we had to take care of a lot of refugees.
And last year, we actually when in to explore what the deal was with the super-volcano, discovered the remnants of a lost civilization, and had to fight a Balrog. While still using colorful party hats to heal.
