I found ray guns decently effective. He usually still crits me to 0 HP, but at least I can get 1 or 2 hits in first!

I think our own natural AC is 10 or 11. Rapiers add +4. I'm not sure if the +4 from the blue potions is also to AC or to some other hidden stat.
