Amusingly, I think my worst monsters aren't among my anons...

Most of mine are out for show, I have some hidden but those pages are WIPs

Mine are only hidden because they are WIPs

Oh yeah, I have a few WIPs, too...

I need to stop writing and actually put their info in a presentable way on their profiles

My characters are mostly setting agnostic, so I don't have a lot of backstory stuff to put

Oh, mine too. I don't mean backstories. I just mean I write stuff for their canon stories on the side

I consider all my RPs to be AUs of their main canon, so their histories and stuff change a little with every story I write with someone

About the same here. Sometimes I'll keep some of the things from various RPs in some way, since some of the developments can be pretty neat and sometimes it's kinda nice to let the character really grow and develop, but for the most part, new games have always gotten a sort of "reset" version.

Oh, yeah. I've definitely kept certain things across the timelines too. Some stuff and growth is just too cool to pass up.

I do that with most of my characters, but there is one where I've managed to unify most of her disparate timelines.

It worked out really nicely.

I've also managed to end up with new characters because of games, on occasion.

Characters I put in as NPCs get their own stories down the line sometimes

Sometimes it's just an NPC I get attached to, but there's a fully alternate version of one character because I wanted to keep both the original and a particular version that developed, and I've had a couple characters actually be born and start developing during an rp.

Which, btw, playing out various stages of a character's life as they grow up can be pretty interesting.
