The construct's eyes turned purple and then bak to blue. With quic strides he walked past Kristy, grabbed her arm, and let walking back towards the room. Should they arrive without Kristy Doug anything else he would look at her and say, "You have one minute," with a tone that was a cross between angered and annoyed. Two people just died, the guards were coming, and the entire inn wanted to kill them. "I leave you to them if you aren't ready by then, and they can burn you."
She couldn't believe what he just said to her. He didn't have to be rude or anything. She understood what just happened, but she was pretty sure everyone was in shock to do anything at the moment. She ran up stairs and grabbed her stuff and wrote a quick note to Rosa, telling her she was sorry for all of this.
When she came back downstairs Clock was still there. She gave him an annoyed look "Come on!" she said to him.

Clock was actually with her through it, having dragged her up it. His foot tapped impatiently outside her door as he waited too long for her to grab her things. By the time Kristy was ready there was the rattling of armor coming from down the steps.
"They're upstairs," said a voice. A murmur rose up from the crowd as they all at once informed the guards what awaited them.
"Silence," shouted one of the town's guards, "we'll fetch the vermin and string them up."
After hearing this Clock knew he had to move quick. He looked down the hallway and spotted no other exits other than the window behind him. "This way," he said with a tone that he should not be trifled with at this time, "we go out the window, drop to the ground and break for the woods." As he spoke the first armored footsteps reached the stairs.

This was getting insane. Kristy couldn't believe all of this. She shut and locked the door and put a cabinet up against it to slow them down.
"Are you crazy? I can't jump from this high. I'll hurt myself" she said to clock. She start to panic, she didn't know what she was going to do.
She heard the man at the door and them knocking and hitting on the door. "Crap this is bad" she said out loud.

"Yep, very bad," said the construct. The helmet of the first guard appeared over the stairs as they approached. "Plan B," he said quickly. Clock spun around, putting his arm around the girl's waist, and jumping backwards through the window. The shattering window clinked against the metal body, hardly touching the flesh of the witch. His other free hand wrapped loosely around the girl, keeping himself between her for the short fall. When they landed it would hurt, but he would compress slightly to keep her from being injured. Shortly after the one story dive backwards he would push her off of her and climb to his feet. "I bought us fourty-five seconds. Where are we going?"
