"Humans. Said to be created by the Human god. The third mortal race after the elves and the centaur. Completely convinced that humans were the best mortal race, the human god even changed its being to become a human. 'meaningful lives' 'endless will' 'strong' 'fast' 'witty' 'perfect' 'The champions of all'
Let me tell you; that god couldn't of been this wrong."
- Gorge the lore keeper
All around is a barren-like land of grey ash color. Ashy soil, rocks and some ashy trees are about the only things around. The land goes out a few miles in all directions. North to North-West there are brighter green trees and a forest. South there are brown grassy hills. A few mountains to the west. To the east are some rocky, hill areas and a span out to the sea. There is an old, human constructed, cobblestone road that spans North to South from this location. The area looks peaceful. There are animals far off to the west.
Traveling North along the cobblestone road, a Humanoid figure lurks on its own at a slow pace. Whatever it is, it is hard to make out.
This land is strange, barren, and without much cover. However this should be human land. Human cities or towns must connect to this road. Moving to a new location would be advised for anyone not on the hunt for travelers.

How could I be so stupid not to see the truth? To see that their plans were nothing but evil? i should have known that a creature like me could do no good to anyone! I'm such an idiot for trusting them! These thoughts ran through the weary girl. Just an hour or more earlier, she had came home to find the lab that she knew so well, in what looked to be the remains of utter chaos. She knew something had happened and was about to go find the men who tested on her but her extreme curiosity got the better of her and she picked up the shattered papers, reading what all they put down.
She has passed many tests, proving to be naive and trusting while also strong and durable.
Her kind will help succeed in this mission of destruction.
Only a few more months of testing and then we will be able to unlock her inner strength.
There was so much more to read but she couldn't bare it so she fled form there and was now somewhere she had never been. It looked to be barren and deprived of life, somewhere she would hope to leave soon. She had lowered her claws, having them wrapped around her waist. She had a small backpack with her, holding a bit of food and water, along with some of the clothes she had owned. She didn't know where she was going and frankly, she didn't care. She was terrified by what might await her, but she didn't really know as to what could really happen to her or how easy it could be to wander off danger form the human race with her large claws.

The figure draws closer and seems to trek on at a quicker pace, closer, and closer to you. The Size of the humanoid looks like a male or a very large female. Still the figure shimmers without absolute identification. Destiny draws fourth as the creature gets closer. Will Darlia travel somewhere or await this stranger?
Darlia noticed the man, or woman, coming closer to her but paid no mind to them. She just kept walking at her normal pace, though her curious mind was telling her to study this person more and figure out who and what they are. She had realized that her claws had raised up, above her head now and were ready to strike at a moments notice, sometimes she didn't have control of them.
After a half mile of walking, the figure got closer to Darlia. At first glance the figure is....An Orc! dark green skin, shirtless with a dark kilt, and a black helmet on his head. He travels closer with every few paces but he is still a ways away. It can be assumed that the Orc is aware of your existence.
Traveling north you see a crossroads about the same distance away as the Orc following you. One travels North and the other travels North East.

Darlia could see the Orc better now but that didn't reassure her in the least. She was growing to be more curious about him, but said nothing. She kept walking, her claws twitched slightly as she looked up to see that the sun was edging closer to the horizon, soon to mark the end of another day. She saw the crossroads, deciding to stay heading North.
At the crossroads is a three way sign. One sign pointing in each direction with human words printed on them to tell where each road leads.
The Orc makes his move as you get to the crossroads. He Dashes forward drawing very close to Darlia but keeping his distance. His codpiece is an evil looking skull and he has deathly satchels attached to his dark kilt. He holds a bone lasher in his hand in a coil. He looks to you with his red eyes. His tusks poke out from his lower jaw, out of his black helmet. The Orc gets in front of you and gets to the sign first and he stands behind it to read the writing. He must want to know where he is going and where Darlia chooses to go.
South sign says "Le brin Foncé." The North East sign says "Human Territorium" The North sign points to "Terres Barbares"

Darlia was surprised when the Orc had gotten in front of her then quickly got to the signs. She could only understand one of the signs, only being able to read the human language. She could only go North East at this point, seeing as she assumed the other two would only lead her to a area where the people spoke the language written on the sign. She did wonder if the Orc was following her or just happened to be on the same path as she was.
The Orc speaks in a deep, raspy, well spoken voice to the direction of Darlia "That was leads to the Human capitals." He says it like it is a bad thing. "You must be less of a monster than the rest of them if you can just walk in their lands." The Orc follows a distance behind Darlia but doesn't seem as willing to go this way. The orc peers a Darlia, hoping for a more engaged encounter.
Darlia flinched a bit when the Orc had spoken, more out of surprise than fear. "I am half human. I don't know much about how things work." She admitted, feeling stupid for not knowing how everything work here. She had worked meaningless jobs but never made a friend or really tried and was always told to stay away form the outside of the town she was in.
The Orc points back to the crossroads "The other way is Barbarian territory, and the rest of the land. Anywhere worth going is that way." The Orc looks to the East "The lands this way belong to the human only humans. They don't consort with other races. Not that many would consort with Orcs anyways." The Orc looks to Darlia "I have no earthen idea what you are, but if you haven't been invited, or you can't blend in, or have been there before. You aren't welcome there as any other non human, Half human or not." The Orc gestures and stays put where he stands for now.
Darlia listened to what he said then stopped walking, thinking as to why he was trying to help her at all. She turned around and looked over at him, confused by this all. "I am half human half Necromorph. I had just recently escaped a laboratory and have no clue where to go since I was given no knowledge on how society works. What reason do you have to help me? You don't seem o know who I am as far as I can tell and I know close to nothing about your kind."
The Orc points to the East "If you go there, you will die. If you are going to die then I have the option of killing you and gaining your loot or leave you be. You are however something new to me." The Orc shifts "I have given you my knowledge of human lands, culture, text. What about less facts and more about what you can do with your talonas things you have there?" The Orc crosses his arms and looks up to Darlia's claws.
Darlia never knew much on what she could do with her claws, because use them as weapons. "They are similar to weapons, such as knives and swords, but as you can see, they are larger and they do not leave my body. They have a long enough range to where I can strike form near and far, about twenty or so feet." She explained with a shrug. She then opened the palm of her hands and two smaller claws came out of her palms, they looked to be a bit rougher. "I also have these but rarely have I used them."
The Orc nods "Well I will be traveling through the barbarian lands. I have sneaking to do, humans to kills and things to gain." The Orc nods to Darlia "I don't know what lies ahead of you or where your safest. But good luck to you." The Orc goes back to the crossroads and begins to travel North.
Darlia thought about how he spoke of the humans and decided not to go there, she ended up catching up to him. "Do you mind if I travel with you, sir? You seem to know more about the society than I do and I don't want to end up being killed for my ignorance. So please do let me join you so that I can learn more on how things work here and how to better protect myself." She held her head down, actually bowing in hopes that he will allow her to accompany him. She had nowhere to go and didn't know anyone who would help her. She knew so little and it bothered her greatly for her curiosity would only destroy her if she did find more on how society worked and on where she should go.
The Orc nods to Darlia "I welcome your presence here, but you will not stand close to me while your talons are near." The Orc continues walking North along the path "I will not be giving many others the treatment I give you, and I will be out for myself at times. You make sure you can handle yourself before you worry about me. Often times I will tell you were I am going, but not why. Or What I need, not how I will get it. If you don't like the things that I do, or the choices I make, I suggest you run." The adventurers trek on through the ends of the wastes to a grassier plains with a forest to the west.
Darlia nodded. She lowered her claws, wrapping them somewhat around her waist and putting away the ones on her palms. "I will do my best to stay out of your way, sir." She said, keeping a good distance away form him. She didn't want to get in his way and kept her mouth shut. She assumed by now that he could tell she had a burning curiosity, most could tell and that was why he made sure to let her know head on that he won't tell her much on to about what he will be doing. "Thank you sir for letting me accompany you."
Time passes as the adventurers travel North. Mauldam looks to Darlia "My name is Mauldam. I am a Orc."
The road winds around the hills, blocking vision of the upcoming path. "Humans still travel along this path. So if you see any then we will have to hide from them. Otherwise we will find a secret hideout just before the next fork where we can rest. Remain ever vigilant." Mauldam looks serious as he walks. He always keeps a hand close to his wrapped bone lasher. He almost seems like he is being hunted by someone.

Darlia looked up at Mauldam as he spoke then nodded. "I am Darlia." She said, her voice quiet and gentle. She listened to what he said about humans and such and nodded, keeping her eyes open for any humans or a creature that looks similar to one like a witch or wizard. She raised her claws so that if they were to be attacked, she could react faster.
