So, about me huh... I started RP way back in Wrath of the Lich King in WoW. So that's what, some 14-15 years ago now. It was a while after I got my start there that I started to write on a site called Gaia, yeah, that Gaia. This was really my first time getting into RP outside of a single setting, where I would either join RPs as a specific character for a setting, or make up a setting with a partner in a private 1x1. Admittedly most of my time there was spent in 'Warriors' RPs, based on a book series about cats living in tribes and warring with each other. No really, actual cats, like, meow meow, not 'I'm a cat but I stand on two legs and use a sword'. Nope, real cats, all fours, with claws. Hey, it was a great series to read!

After that, for quite a few years, most of my RP experience has been in WoW. I never really got into RP in any other games, despite many MMOs having pretty big RP communities. WoW is just the setting I knew best and has always stuck with me.

It was only a few years ago that I really got into RPing in a much, much wider variety of settings from fandoms to original worlds. I really love playing out unique stories, whether it's within existing settings or ones I make up with my partners. On occasion I have my own setting completely thought out, or at least, thought out for a good start, and will welcome a partner into the world, though I find if I have thought up too much then it becomes a bit of a pain to try and explain everything they need to know, and sometimes I have to stop and say 'hold on, your character wouldn't do that because they'd know bla bla bla'.

These days, I mostly just look for partners who are willing to play out long-term ideas I have in mind, which often means I have already thought out the characters involved. This does limit me a bit, as it means that if someone prefers to play their own characters, rather than have to make up new ideas based on a reference I give them, then they likely won't be interested in playing with me. And I totally get that, a lot of people don't want their creativity to be stifled by coming into a RP with predetermined characters in mind that they're expected to play. That being said, I also do a lot of RPs set in fandoms, playing as existing characters from the fandom, but I'm not super strict on how the characters are played. I'll never tell someone "That character wouldn't do/say/act like that" or any such thing. I know I ended the last paragraph saying that I sometimes do something similar to this... but I more mean I won't tell you how to play your interpretation of a canon character from a fandom.

Another note on characters... I use a variety of references for characters, ranging from art, to 3D renders, to real life photos. That being said... if it's a real life photo, I exclusively use photos of models/celebrities. I'm not doing a RP and using my neighbor as a character reference, I swear! At least... I don't think I am...

And it's probably pretty important to mention that, I am pretty much exclusively interested in partners who play female characters, regardless of the gender of my own characters being played.

But all that being said, my RPs tend to be extremely NSFW, 18+ only kinda things. And that's due to pretty much any and all adult themes, from violence and taboo pairings, to... well, you know. 'other' stuff. That being said, it doesn't necessarily mean I want adult themes to be in place of a good story. Rather, I think they should simply be methods of enjoyment that drive interest in continuing the story. It's for these reasons that I also enjoy a partner who can play at least somewhat realistic characters. That is to say, I would much prefer a character who takes a long time to break down and give in to my character's advances, rather than a character who immediately throws away everything they have ever stood for, all because "Well she said please-". Of course, there's a time and place for characters more readily jumping into fun situations they wouldn't otherwise take part in, but that's all up to us and the situation! After all, if we're playing a pairing that are already dating from the onset of the story, then they would no doubt be much more open to each other's whims.

I should say these days, my biggest interests are the taboo. Especially cheating as a theme. That is to say, focusing on the jealousy one character has over their partner showing interest in other people, or going further and having one of the characters have a relationship with someone else behind their partner's back. I like to explore the darker themes it causes, from jealousy and guilt to stronger things like shame and fear of being found out. However, it's all meant to be in good fun with fictional characters, so we may not fully play these kinds of things out realistically. It would be quite depressing if the entire RP was 'someone does something they shouldn't, they break up and are heartbroken. The end."

Needless to say anyone who writes with me should be 18+ at the very least.

I should also probably note that I play a variety of different character types, and that my RPs almost always involve a larger cast of characters when you consider the side characters that will be played. But when it comes to my 'main' characters (As in, the character who is a lead in the story, as opposed to 'the clerk who sells our characters some potions') I pretty much always play one of two types of characters. Either incredibly feminine male characters (Who are nearly indistinguishable from girls at a glance), or girls who are more 'inbetween' genders.

When it comes to settings, of course I have mentioned WoW but I've opened up to many, many more settings over the years, and really so long as I know the setting and it has attractive and fun characters to be experienced in it, I'm likely open to it. But my experience ranges from a wide variety of things ranging from game settings that would be more OC driven like WoW or FF14, to ones that would be almost entirely Canon Character driven such as Mass Effect or League of Legends. I'm also not exclusively interested in game settings, and have experience ranging from movies like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, to anime like Fairy Tail and Kill la Kill. I'm experienced in most of the 'big settings', but I do unfortunately lack experience with some... I'm not big on Star Trek or Stargate, I grew up on Star Wars, sorry!

So that's what you can expect from RPing with me! But, I would like to think I at the very least have fun ideas, from small scale 'What if I played a mentally unstable girl who falls in love with her psychiatrist' (See Morgan, my Character) to something on a much grander scale where an entire world has been built for just the start of the RP. And that's the kind of writer I am. Been doing it for a long time... but who knows how much I've improved over the years. I guess quality is for you to decide!

Oh, I guess one other question you might have is, why are you called AWhiteMage. And the simplest answer is... because at the time that I came up with that name in a different community I was playing a White Mage in FF14. That's pretty much the entire reason!

Hopefully this didn't get too out of hand for just an introduction, and I kept my thoughts concise. I do tend to jump around back and forth adding bits as I remember to include them.

Oh... and I have extreme social anxiety. It can take me 10 minutes or more to actually press the 'post' button because I'm thinking "... did I leave something out? Is this weird? Did I say too much or too little? Are they going to be upset about something I said-"

Holy Introductory Post, Batman! You certainly know just exactly what you're looking for! There is someone right here who has it all figured out. Kudos to you! Right away, I am already envisioning you putting together a group with a premise in mind and a string of characters your participants can sift through and join as.

I remember my friend convincing me to play in a lineup like that with her. I ended up being this exorcist who still lived at home with his mom! He was hilarious but so incredibly serious with his work. Anyway, a group with your lineup and premise may help you get some folks to join your world-building project!

If anything, create your character and draw up an advertisement of the types of characters you are looking for specifically.

I hope you have a good go at it and that RPR is a wonderful place to start your newest RP projects! You take care and have fun!
