I think the complaint tablet is definitely the right track! Apparently it says, 'on account of that one (trifling) mina of silver which I owe(?) you', which would fit in perfectly!

Congrats on solving this symbol! The answer was "One mina of silver".

For those of you wondering how this answer could be arrived at, here's a quick explanation. :)

Ea-nasir was an infamous copper merchant living in the Sumerian city-state of Ur. It seems that he collected a number of tablets sent to him from other merchants and customers - most of them complaints about the quality of his copper and/or his service! A complaint from Nanni, in particular, covers an entire front and back of a clay tablet with cuneiform griping about his experience dealing with Ea-nasir. It seems, though, that Nanni owed Ea-nasir one mina of silver, an amount that works out to a little more than half a kilogram - and that Ea-nasir maybe held a grudge about it. It's the sun seal because of Shamash, a sun god mentioned in the tablet in question.
Oh!! It got solved!
Whey! There we go! It was that shitty copper after all. Thanks, Tumblr
