The Pokemon RP "Discovery" is moved here now for the sake of cleanliness.
THE RULES:
If you would like to join please ask first either by message or here on the forum. However chances are we will not be accepting any new peep right now unless they're close friends of people already in this roleplay.
This takes place in the Kalos Region (Pokemon X/Y) but this is more for the sake of a consistent map (when on the map), NOT what kind of Pokemon would be found in the wild there. Incidentally I'm going to start the RP just off the Kalos map so you guys can decide individually to keep exploring "new lands" or returning to Kalos towns/areas. "New Lands" can look like whatever you want so long as the logical progression takes place to get there.
You can play a trainer/gym leader of any level of expertise but level 40+ will be regarded as holy-crap-you-must-have-trained-that-for-a-long-time, NOT an easy accomplishment. You can also play individual wild (or not wild) pokemon as characters.
I'm not going to pressure you into a "post at least once per (time)". However if you're in a battle with someone please respond within 30 hours. If you do not the other person is within their right to decide the outcome of the fight (even if they're using a bulbasaur against your charizard).
Please be respectful of the people you're in contact with. This includes people sitting in your circle even if they aren't directly talking or fighting with you (you never know what they want to do in their next post!). Of course you have to wait no longer than 30 hours overall and it only applies to people in your vicinity.
RESPECT THE RARITY OF CERTAIN POKEMON. Aka legendaries, shinies or other uncommon finds. They are rare, if you're playing a trainer with an entire team of legendaries your character better be a crazy collector/friggin villain and be all about hunting down legendaries. You want to roleplay a legendary/a trainer with legendaries please say so to me so I can decide if the situation is allowed or not.

If you have flamethrower, you can describe your Pokemon spinning while doing it or something. We'll still consider it flamethrower, just your Pokemon is being unique and dealing it differently c: )

Please also keep in mind that the intent of this roleplay is to have fun and have a bit of an adventure too, to have a story, to gasp at character twists and to have some laughs. It is not for getting down in the gritty on if your Pokemon team choices are actually better choices than the next person. If you want to fight for the sake of winning and proving your Pokemon skills then go play the video games please.
(Heck, I can tell you right now I almost lost a battle of all water types against all fire types in Pokemon Stadium. There you go, your Pokemon skills are better than mine.)

Nixie did not look swayed by the confident stance of the Pikachu before her, nor the cautious actions of Eon. She still smiled cockily with just a bit of frustration that brought her eyes to a slight furrow; she didn’t care what happened next. If little Fritter the shiny Charmander was about to lose then that wasn’t a problem. If this Pikachu was low enough level for Tyke’s capture then so be it too.
Fritter stepped forward towards the Pikachu, equally unaware of what was she was about to go up against. Clearly the little fire-salamander was excited but also, nervous, like a child about to perform in a school play.

He rolled his neck and yawned, blinking slowly. "Piiika." He said as he opened his mouth in a deep breath. It was clear he was waiting on Fritter to actually make a move on him- There was no need to increase his Speed with Agility since he already had the advantage. Every once in a while, though, Chaos would glance over at Eon. This one seemed very protective of a Pokémon he had just met.
"Are you going to hit me?" He asked Fritter in the language that somehow Pokémon can understand, although it'd just sound like him repeating various sections of his species' name over and over again to any humans nearby.

<Just don't get yourself hurt, okay?> Eon said as he watched worriedly over the battle, prepared to leap to Fritter's defense if the mouse became too aggressive.

"umm... A-are you guys sure this Pokemon wants to be captured?" he said kicking the dirt shyly "I mean what if It has a family... Or friends..." he said turning to look at Charmander "and what if She gets hurt for nothing? I wont capture it unless it wants too..." Joey lost track of the Stantler he had been hunting, that he scared away when he sneezed. Joey then stumbles upon what looked like a pokemon battle between a Pikachu and a very shiny Charmander with a abnormally large Thypolsion near the Charmander. He decides to hide out in the trees being careful to not be detected takes a couple photos and records his findings, his Joltik then pops from his pokeball and sits on his upper back cuddling against his neck and Liucefria sitting under the tree remaining ever diligent.

Jackson was a Pokemon trainer born from a long line of Pokemon trainers, and he could scarcely resist the opportunity to explore new places. When he heard that the lesser-mapped areas of Kalos were being opened to public exploration, he knew he had an adventure on his hands.
With his trusted Pokemon clipped to his belt, his bag well stocked with food and first-aid, and his heart full of longing for new experiences, he set off into the unnamed forests in the southernmost areas of the region.
As he strolled along, Zaba's pokeball in one hand, he noticed a person perched somewhat sneakily in the bushes with a Joltik perched on his shoulder. As Jackson approached the man, the small yellow fuzzball began to spark and prickle.
"Bonjour," Jackson announced, hoping the man wasn't dangerous, but prepared to defend himself if it came to it. "That's quite the bodyguard you've got there."

A boy named Shane appeared, Shane came from a very wealthy family. His mom is a top coordinator, and his dad used to be the Sinnoh league champion, until he was beaten by Cynthia. Shane has ran away from home cause of the terrible wealthy life that he had back in Sinnoh. All Shane ever wanted to do is become a Pokemon trainer. So, now Shane's dream is coming true, Shane come's across a Pokemon battle between a Pikachu and a shiny Charmander. Shane is amazed cause he's never seen any Pokemon that aren't from the Sinnoh region. Then Shane introduces himself to the group of people,"Hello, Everyone i'm Shane and i'm from the Sinnoh region, I just arrived here so I don't have much friends...." ((By the way Shane wants to be a Water Type master))

Her growl didn’t work? Fritter wasn’t surprised, she wasn’t particularly confident in her fighting prowess enough to find it TOO weird that her move couldn’t sway an opponent, even if they were supposedly her level.
She could Eon’s cautious words, gulped, and nodded her head. The Charmander was certainly hoping that she wouldn’t have continued misses. Losing to another little cute Pokemon like her, what could she win against if she couldn’t do that??
Fritter looked back to trainer Nixie who only shrugged at first. Pokemon moves miss, it wasn’t anything unusual to the trainer even if this Pikachu was very confident in itself.
“Don’t worry about it, Tyke.” Nixie responded and waved her hand at him, a bit carefree. “Yeah, not all wild Pokemon like being caught but once they are, convincing them that you’re cool is half the fun. You don’t want a Pokemon that desperately wants to be caught. A desperate Pokemon is a weak Pokemon!”
She give a quick nod at her own words and then looked to her shiny Pokemon a few yards in front of her. “Fritter, just use Scratch then!”
Fritter had a face that said ‘oh right’ all over it before she faced her rodent opponent once more, jumping at him, claws-first.

Eon's whole body was tense and he watched cautiously, ready to spring into action at the drop of a dime if need be.

"You should meet his partner." Joey said as Luicefria appeared behind be the man posed ready to protect her master. "I don't have any valuables or are you looking for a battle" as he continued to watch the battle "this might be a good time to try" he thought to himself "spook!" zorua pops from his ball Joey then proceeded to whisper something in Spook's ear, Spook runs off carrying out his mission. Joey stood up now facing the man. "what do you want?" He grabs two pokeballs ready for anything "I'm not one fight but I am prepared to if I must" Then a large grumble erupted from his stomach, "Oh yeah I'm still hungry, I guess I'll just have to eat later.."
Meanwhile Spook ran around the battle in hopes he wasn't seen from where he came. He approached a little boy and blue/blonde haired girl started acting the cutest he ever could in hopes he get their attention.

Eon looked down at the zorua as it pranced around an his gaze softened; he had once been in love with a zorua, and he still had a soft spot for them

Jackson immediately became wary. The man himself didn't seem to be a threat, but he wasn't sure he could trust that aggressive-looking canid behind him. Without hesitation, he clicked the button on his pokeball, and Zaba popped out in a flash of light. The Croagunk immediately assumed a fighting stance, it's cheeks inflating and gurgling as they filled with venom.
"I'm not looking for a battle," Jackson said. "But I will be prepared to defend myself if she tries anything."
He gestured at the quietly snarling Houndoom. Zaba was hopping from foot to foot, clearly itching to scrap.
"All that said, if you're as hungry as you sound, I might be able to share some food with you. But I'd like to know exactly what's going on back there, and what you're doing watching it. If you don't want to talk, I'm willing to walk away without a word."

"Girl, you should know better than to gamble a Pokemon you don't like in a battle where it is clearly outmatched," said the man emerging from the trees' shadows, clad in black jeans and a deep green overshirt.
"Athena," He continued to the Pinsir, "Strike with Earthquake."
Athena, as was the Pinsir's apparent name, brought her hands down to the ground, flipped upside down, and rammed her horns into the earth, sending an earth-shattering wave towards the Pikachu.

This was crazy! Nobody interrupted another trainers' battle, no matter how big the level gap was! Granted, they did think Chaos was wild (despite the glaringly obvious blue bandana) but then again, what did that mean? Was this new trainer trying to capture Chaos for himself? Because this one seemed to have a bit more skill under his belt than the others, and that might cause some issues. Chaos would've been a little bit shocked had he not been so energized. (Heh, Electric puns.)
The second another Pokémon came between him and Fritter, Chaos used Thunder. The Agility he had made for himself was immediately put to good use; He rushed the now-revealed-to-be Pinsir.
If Thunder missed, then Chaos would attempt to jump over the shockwave sent forth by Athena and land a Volt Tackle, bouncing off of her and subsequently throwing another Thunder her way. If he didn't make it over the shockwave and was hit he would be thrown back, hitting a tree. He would stagger for a bit before shaking his head and getting back on his feet, bouncing back and forth like a boxer. Tossing a glare over at the Pinsir, he'd then immediately throw yet another Thunder her way.
Chaos' confidence had now somewhat faded- He was in full-out battle mode now. No more games.
If he succeeded with his original Thunder, then he would smirk and cross his paws across his chest, looking back towards the direction the newest trainer's voice had come from: Did the trainer want any more? Or did he want to send out another Pokémon?
((OOC Note: Statistics-wise, Chaos' Thunder and Volt Tackle are both OHKOs. Are we planning on using Pokémons' stats as a reliable determining factor in a battle or are we going to just make it all up as we go along? Because it seems like it'd be utter insanity if we didn't at least somewhat stick to the basic rules of Pokémon match-ups.))
