Closed as I've found a few partners! Thank you for your interest!
I'm starting up 1x1s, which I'm hoping for either short stories or short interactions between a few of my characters with any of yours! Here's the first one in my round up, an old but well loved character.
Premise: Arioch is a Wolfman which, in my worldspace of The Hemos, is a descendant of "moon broken" or "cold blooded" werewolves (they were werewolves who thousands of years ago, found a way to remain bound to feral counterparts and as they bred over many generations, paved the path to naturally born Wolfmen). While many Wolfman in the current day and age follow their wild Huntsman God, Saelon, Arioch is what many humans and elves classify as a "noble beast" who instead pursued knighthood in the ways of the Western Men.
But Arioch did not find peace. And he has suffered enough of the abuse brought out by the High Elves he once fought for. After the death of his adopted Wood Elf daughter, the Knight roamed the world in search of purpose. But the wideness of the world aged him and he grows weary of wandering. Who will he meet now along the ever growing road, on which he hopes to find solace to his grief and new purpose to his fight?
☾ ┈┈ -: ✧ :- Just to make sure it's completely clear, but I'm not looking for anything centered around romance involving this character. Arioch is an gray-ace long past his prime and if he wasn't romantic then, he isn't going to be now LOL. The goal in any interactions is more so centered on him either helping your character in their quest or your character helping him in his (perhaps even in a mutually beneficial situation). Your character might be a foe he has to overcome, or a fellow adventurer in need of assistance, or even someone who could act as a brief stepping stone to end his restless wandering. Think of it similar to a quest in a game or an episode in a TV series. Wolfmen are similar to Khajiit or Argonians from the Elder Scrolls in my way of thinking anyways!
☾ ┈┈ -: ✧ :- Arioch probably works best in settings paired with morally good or morally neutral characters or paired against morally evil. While he will do his best to protect those in his party, don't expect him to help your character commit war crimes or underhanded plots (at least within his full knowledge or willingness if you're seeking a corruption arc).
☾ ┈┈ -: ✧ :- Arioch has his preferences and his biases. He'll always carry a fondness for Wood Elves due to elements in his history and the fondness for his daughter and has a general respect for most other elven races and their cultures. Although I feel I should emphasis in advance for his distain for High Elves just thanks in part to the ones that abused that trust in the past. Generally neutral about races such as orcs or goblins while bearing a slight hesitation/skittishness towards humans (most beast aligned races in my worldspace generally are) but that can be widdled down over time.

"Soldier, keep on marching on. Keep your head down 'til the work is done."

Blade for Hire (Adventure)
Maybe he comes across an ad on a bounty board or maybe he's in the right place at the right time to help your character. Having an experienced blade on your side could never hurt, right?
Wolf in Sheep's Clothes (Dark Fantasy)
An ill intent disguised as an innocent, but how long will their deceit last and what use would they have to use the Crescent Knight in their machinations? |
Lost Child (Adventure)
Some kid wandered to far from town or maybe became involved in some other sinister plot? Arioch is great with kids, plus just look at him. He's just so fluffy!
An Escort (Adventure)
Your character needs to get to Point A to Point B but there's something or someone whose keeping that from happening. Why not convince Arioch to help out?
|
Met At Rest (Slice of Life)
Men and Elves alike tell wild tales when they're surrounded by ale and the warmth of the hearth. Maybe in some inn along the road is where stories can be shared and told!
Suffered Together (Slice of Life)
Maybe your character was present during the suffering of the Wood Elves at the hands of the High Elves. Perhaps in some safe space, the two of you can begin to heal.

I'll likely close these 1x1 in a week from this post's date. If you have any ideas of your own that you think Arioch could work for with some interesting character dynamics, please don't hesitate to respond to this thread or reach out in a PM!
Magic is common.
Renaissance
Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.
No romance at all will be included in this plot, period.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, one-off scene. Will be played one-on-one.
