The Early Years
On a cool autumn evening in a old kingdom,strong as the family bonds,that two boys were born. The kingdom had been blessed with twins, healthy happy twins. Of course their parents could never be happier. Even when the two had turned six-years-old and in many ways they seemed to turn the castle upside down. But, how could they not when there were so many rooms to explore,adventures always lying right behind each door, or hidden in the gardens and forest. Unfortunately for the young boys parents, to day was one of those days that one of the boys craved adventure,trouble,fun anything that didn't involve sitting around.Yuki, a child with pale white skin, curly white hair and bright lively red eyes. He was dressed in a red button down pleated shirt, black shorts and boots.Eyes that seeked today's newest adventure, little did the servants realize that they could get caught up in everything. Yuki glanced around, as if checking if the cost was clear,anyone would have thought so with the way he snuck to the walls.Then again,they were suppose to be with the study person that Yuki could care less to memorize her name. All he knew was he didn't want to get caught by anyone!
"Ny,come!" Yuki urged his older twin.
The boy stopped,resting a hand on the tiny white rabbit perched on his shoulder. Her little nose twitched as she sniffed the air,it was like she was smelling for someone or something. Maybe she was smelling for food,Yuki doubted it since he had already fed the tiny fluffy bunny. Yuki looked back at Ny with a bright smile.
Nylian bit down on his lip and glanced behind him, a thrill of excitement and fear skittering down his spine. He knew they shouldn’t do this, that they were supposed to be learning their lessons. However, Yuki grew restless and, as usual, talked Nylian into exploring the castle. Now he feared they’d get caught before they managed to get too far. Maybe not, though, Yuki was really good at sneaking around and playing “Spy,” just as he proved right then. Hugging the walls, peeking around corners, darting across hallways, slipping into rooms…Yuki did all of that so easily. Nylian tried, but he didn’t think he was anywhere near as good as his younger brother.
“I’m coming…” he called in a stage whisper, tiptoeing as fast as he could to his brother’s side. He thought he heard someone then, Nylian freezing, his golden eyes as round as saucers. “Yuki…someone’s coming!”

The younger boy covered his mouth in the hopes of stifling a giggle, he really didn't want anyone to find them. The fear of getting caught had a lot to do with the fact that if they did get caught their parents would defiantly lecture them. Oh, how they would say how they should pay attention to what their teacher had to say, it was a prince's duty to be aware of the knowledge of the world, and to know what to do in certain situations, blah blah. Ny and him were just kids, they needed some time to play, to get into a little trouble like any other boys in the kingdom. Though, they generally weren't of royal blood and didn't have to worry about things a young lord would have to deal with.
Yuki felt a bit guilty that Ny wasn't doing that good with sneaking around. His guilty grew a bit more when he glanced at the bunny perched on his shoulder. She then stopped sniffing, her white ears began to flatten and drew in close to her self as if he was trying to hide. Yuki wondered what had caused the white fluff ball to do that,and so he continued on. He turned to sneak around a corner when his Ny said something. Something that chilled Yuki to the bone.

He almost squeaked when Yuki’s bunny raced off, Yuki darting after her, leaving him behind. Looking behind him, Nylian darted after his twin, hoping, praying the bunny didn’t get them caught. He didn’t like when their parents lectured them for being disobedient, always feeling like he’d disappointed them, like he was a shameful, ungrateful brat. He didn’t mean to be, but, like Yuki, he wanted to have fun, to run free, to explore, and have adventures. Was that really so wrong? He supposed maybe they should listen to their teacher, study their lessons, and play afterward. Yuki just didn’t have the patience, and Nylian couldn’t say no to his baby brother.
“Yuki…” he whispered as loudly as he dared, trying to catch up, finally managing to snag Yuki’s hand. About that time, he thought he heard someone coming down the hallway toward them, the clickity-clack of those heels getting louder, coming faster. “Hurry!”

Yuki glanced back at his older twin,he didn't expect Ny to grab his hand. So,much to his pride being bruised, he jumped. For a moment he had thought that they had been caught red handed. When he saw his brother golden eyes looking at him,they were both scared.
"Hmm.."He said,walking a bit faster after he had held his older brothers hand back. Yuki let out a soft gasp before running after his white rabbit. They turned at sharp corner after painfully long halls until the rabbit had led them to a open door way.
Yuki let his older brothers hand when she stopped,as much as he wanted to hide he always wanted to breathe. He took a moment to stop and gulp in as much air as he could be strengthening back up and looking at Ny,and then the open door way,"..what do you think,should we go in?"Yuki asked Ny.

He winced a bit, never meaning to scare his little brother. However, they didn’t have time to dwell on that, the unknown person getting closer with every passing second. Looking back, afraid he’d find the person racing toward them, he meeped breathlessly when Yuki took off after his bunny, dragging Nylian along. Turning back around before he ran into something or tripped and dragged them both down, he did his best to keep up with Yuki and the bunny. No easy feat despite the fact he stood a good couple of inches taller than Yuki, but they were both still little boys and the bunny kept racing down the castle’s long hallways.
Finally, they stopped, Nylian leaning over, his hands resting against his knees as he gulped in air, his angel white hair falling across his golden eyes. Glancing at the doorway, swallowing hard, he nodded and stood back up, moving to his brother’s side. “Yes, before they catch us, Yuki. Mommy and daddy will be really mad if they find out we’re not doing our studies again…and I don’t wanna get caught!” he said in a rush, his words running together. “Let’s go!”
Finally, they stopped, Nylian leaning over, his hands resting against his knees as he gulped in air, his angel white hair falling across his golden eyes. Glancing at the doorway, swallowing hard, he nodded and stood back up, moving to his brother’s side. “Yes, before they catch us, Yuki. Mommy and daddy will be really mad if they find out we’re not doing our studies again…and I don’t wanna get caught!” he said in a rush, his words running together. “Let’s go!”
Yuki blinked a few times, and then rubbed the back of his neck. It was the least he could do for dragging his older brother into this mess right? With a soft nervous giggle Yuki grabbed Nylian hand to run inside to safety. Once they were all in the room safe, a little tried maybe, but at least no one had caught them Yuki had figured that shutting the door was the best idea. But he didn't shut the door all the way,he left the door hanging open a bit. "Ahah, wasn't that fun,Ny?"Yuki asked ,spinning around to face his brother.
Nodding emphatically, a boyish smile washing over his cherub features, Nylian began looking around the room. “Where are we?” he asked softly as he drifted over to look out the windows. Nothing particularly interesting there, the room looking out over the castle gardens, some place he’d much rather be at that moment. Of course, mommy and daddy would probably be none too happy about that, not if he dirtied his angel white shirt or black shorts, and they were always disappointed when his scuffed his boots. “What are we going to do now? We can’t stay here all day,” Nylian drifted back toward Yuki. “Can we, Yuki?”
Yuki was quite as he walked over to the window, with a heavy sigh he leaned against the window seal. He really wanted to go out side, he messed running around in the garden, but something about always getting dirty isn't very princely.With another sigh he let his shoulders slump a bit,"Hmm?"Yuki faced his brother,leaving a hand on the window seal.Could they really stay in this place all day? He looked around the room once again, nothing was really around. Just little things here and there, he doubted anyone would come back any time soon..still,staying in one place was why he decided to sneak out of of the study. "I would really rather not..,."He said, and then walked over to his rabbit." well,we can always wait for a bit,right?" He asked Nylian as he lifted the bunny up into his arms.
“Okay,” Nylian agreed, but then he always did. Whatever Yuki wanted to do, Nylian did without question. Some people that him a bit odd for that being he was the older twin, but Yuki led the way. He didn’t care, Nylian not minding that Yuki always made the decisions and led the way, even when he led them right into trouble. “I’m kind of hungry, though. And thirsty.” He hoped maybe they could sneak down to the kitchen and beg a snack of some kind, but he’d leave that up to his brother. Walking over to where Yuki stood, he reached over and petted Yuki’s rabbit, loving her silky soft fur. “Who do you think that was following us?”
He thought for a moment,food didn't sound that bad and his stomach agreed. Mere seconds after Nylian said threat he was hungry his stomach growled, demanding food now. And his throat was dry, and felt scratchy too. "You too, hmm,maybe we should sneak down to the kitchen.."The younger brother suggested thoughtfully. Yuki smiled at his older twin as he petted his rabbit. This little rabbit was a big part of their lives, Yuki swore that she was almost always getting the two out of trouble. Just like earlier,if it was here they would have been caught. "I really don't know.."Replied Yuki.
In the whole scheme of things, Nylian had to put priority on food over whoever followed them. After all, Yuki was hungry, Nylian was hungry, and, chances were, the bunny was hungry. Scratching the bunny’s ears one last time before going on a food seeking adventure, Nylian turned to head out of the room and go downstairs to the kitchen. He could practically taste a slice of piping hot bread fresh out of the oven, smeared with jam, and melting in his mouth. Only…Nylian didn’t even manage a step when he looked up to find one of the maid’s standing there, her hands on her hips, the woman far from pleased. Gasping breathlessly, he took a hesitant step back and bit down on his lip.
“I guess this means no snack?” he whispered, his bottom lip curling under in a pout.

Yuki hadn't really had the chance to gasp, to even react. His red eyed gaze caught the movement of the door slowly opening. Someone found them. The younger boy stood there, holding his rabbit staring up at the young woman that choose to stand in their way. Wide eyed and lips formed into a tight scowl as he slowly shook his head.

However, he knew better, his golden gaze slowly lifting to meet Yume’s…if she could see…although sometimes he swore she could. After all, wasn’t she the one who followed them? If she did, then she had to see!
“Yes, ma’am,” Nylian finally whispered, clasping his hands behind his back, and ducking his head shyly. “We were just gonna go down to the kitchen and get something to eat. Then we were going right back to our studies! Weren’t we, Yuki? Ah-huh! We were. Yuki will tell you!”

Yuki felt his chest tighten up in fear when she spoke, it felt like his collar was insanely tight to him. Well his older brother explained everything to Yume, Yuki looked at his scuffed up boots, he really wished that this wouldn't have happened. And,as much as he loved his brother, he couldn't get them out of trouble all the time.Every now and again he would glance at Yume, he didn't like her. How silent she was, how she seemed to look right at you despite being blind. Actually, to him it also felt like she was trying to look deeper, like looking for your soul or the fear in someones heart. He, not tightly, but he wrapped his arms around his snow white bunny,burying his face in her soft silky fur. Yuki said something, unfortunately his words were muffled by his bunny. It seemed like he was pretty content of hiding behind his rabbit.

Glancing at Yuki, Nylian turned back to Yume, nodding in understanding until he stopped to think about the fact she was blind. Then, ducking his head and shuffling his feet, he let out a breath of fresh air that came out more a huff.
“Yes, ma’am. It just that…” he begin, falling silent just as quickly. Nylian didn’t want to say that Yuki always got bored and restless, that he followed his brother because he wanted Yuki to be happy. He knew Yume wouldn’t like hearing that, none of the adults did, not even their Uncle Lathai, and he was the coolest. A red eye opened up when he felt Nylian reach for his hand. Slowly he grabbed his older brothers hand back with a small squeeze, he did not like this. He felt his heart thudding in his chest and wondered how no one could hear his heart. It felt so loud in his ears. When Yume took a step forward his response was to squeeze his eyes shut and make a weird sound that came from his throat. Yuki felt a pang of guilt since he knew very well that Ny didn't like Yume anymore than he did...and he was the one making him do all the talking.
Yume flashed them a bright, happy smile and clapped her hands together."Okay. Well,I have things to do,so you two go get something to eat.."Yume paused when she looked back at something.For a moment she turned her back to the two before continuing ,"Then,you better go back to you're study's."She said to them.

Nylian managed a faint smile even if Yume couldn’t see him. “Yes, ma’am, we promise,” he assured, quickly darting past her and out the door, pulling Yuke behind him.
He didn’t stop until they were down the hallway and around the corner, not bothering to hide at that point. They’d already been caught and had permission to go get a snack…if worse came to worse. At least, they could say as much if anyone else came along. Trailing to a stop, he turned to Yuki, hoping his little brother was okay by then. Yume wasn’t anywhere to be seen and no one else came across them, so they were okay other than that one encounter.
“Maybe we should just go back, Yuki, before we get caught again and get in a lot and a lot of trouble,” he suggested, not like that idea at all. If they got in trouble they couldn’t do anything fun at all. “I’m not all that hungry anymore.”

When she tilted her head like that she reminded him of a broken doll,smiling creepily at nothing. With his heart was again racing a mile a minute faster than his feet could go, he ran off. All he wanted to do was be with Nylain,his older brother. Once he caught up to him,Yuki set the bunny down and rested against a wall, his hands on his knees as he gulped in air. Quickly he looked around,of course he was happy when he didn't see her,but that didn't calm him down.
