"..Honestly, this is really annoying of the council "He said with a heavy sigh. Yuke bit his lower lip, the council always had to get in the way, they really were annoying. Although, he did understand them at times,but this was Ny! The person they had once known as a six-year-old boy that followed Yuke everywhere. Even though Nylain could resist on certain things, so why did they think that Nylain would crack. He shook his head, that didn't matter, all that mattered is he had his brother back, and safe. The younger twin flinched at first when Lathai pulled him into the group hug. The younger of them quickly wrapped his arms around them feeling the tears welding in the ends of his eyes.
"..I..I" Yuke stopped, what could he say. With a deep breathe he said,"..I promise that I won't go on the battle field again,brother."
~~~~
On the stairs case out of sight and silent was a person. He wore a ankle length robe;white with a red hemmed cape piece. The high collar helped hide the person face, especially with the belt around the tall collar. The hood hung over his face, a star like symbol shining in the flicker of the torch hanging on the wall. He let out a very shift sigh, wrapping a gloved had around the charms dangling from the collar so when he moved the charms wouldn't chime. The last thing he needed was for the people down stairs to know someone was there snooping around.
He knew, deep within, he had no right to ask this of his brother, but he needed to hear that reassurance. He needed to feel secure in the knowledge Yuke wouldn’t fall into one of Yume’s elaborate traps. Clasping the back of Yuke’s neck, Nylian lifted his head to meet his twin’s gaze, searching his eyes. What he saw was what he knew should have been reflected in his own golden gaze, but Yume…the things she did to him, the things her pets did to him, the things they made him do left him deeply wounded and forever scared. Turning back to his uncle, he managed a faint smile, realizing none of that mattered anymore. He was home, he was with family, and that’s all he cared about.
Kissing both boys on the top of their heads, Lathai guided the twins out of the dungeon and through the castle to the room the servants prepared for Nylian. “There’s a few more things I need to take care of, but…Nylian, I’m sure you could benefit from a nice hot bath and a few hours of sleep,” he murmured, decided right then and there not to trouble either boy with the trouble the council created. They needed to heal, to recover from all they’d been through, to spend some time together making up for all they were denied. “Yuke, why don’t you stay with Nylian. I’ve seen to it that Serena is the guard assigned to you, Nylian. She’s good…and she’s one of mine. That being said, do all of us a favor and behave…both of you.” Kissing his nephews on the head once again, he turned and headed off to tend business, whether he wanted to or not. “I’ll have lunch sent up to you two, piping hot baked goods and all.”
Yuke wasn't necessary happy about this, but to make sure his older brother was happy and stress free was enoguh for him. He would do anything to make sure that this home coming started to turn out for the better. Or he would at least try. The younger boy looked at Nylain with a small smile that soon grew, he was so glad to see his twin...even though to see this fear, this clear torment in Ny's eyes did make him really want to know what had happened he remained silent.
He chuckled softly thinking, our family is whole again,as he gently held onto Nylain's arm well they left the dungeon. He let go once, he wasn't about to let go again..not easily anyways. The last time he had let go of his brother he lose him, and he was afraid that if he let Nylain go for a second and he would once again be gone. Such morbid thoughts made Yuke frown and look at the floor. Slowly, when their Uncle spoke, Yuke looked at him and sighed. he really wanted his uncle to take a break, he saw that Lathai was clearly hurt.."Hmm."His uncles suggestion shattered his glass of thoughts" Okay, I see no problem in that!..well the guard aside of course."He chuckled softly, smiling at his twin.
~~~~~~
The person dressed in robes tilting his head,but other wise he remained quiet. A few seconds later he began to walk off not holding the charms down this time. Even if the chiming actually got on his nerves, it was like someone had gotten high pitched chimes and messed with them in his ears. He sighed, this was his idea and so far it was working, he tugged down on the hood, looking around.

Nylian watched their uncle away, smiling at Yume’s comment, and shaking his head. “Honestly? I don’t mind,” he assured, slipping into the room, aware he could use a bath after being on the battlefield. He just felt so drained, so exhausted, drudging up the motivation to bother with a bath easier said than done. Instead Nylian drifted over to the window, relieved when the scenery that greeted him was green, beautiful, and full of life. More importantly, he felt the gentle kiss of the sun against his skin, waves of soothing warmth washing over him, easing the emptiness in his soul. “I’ve dreamt of this for so long, and now that I’m back, now that I’m here…it’s like it’s a dream. I’m afraid if I close my eyes, I’ll wake up and realize I’m still back there.”
Lathai heard the door close, a quick glance back verifying the boys went into the room, Serena taking up her post. He trusted her, Serena the same elite guard who saved Yuke’s life that morning on the battlefield. She would let nothing and no one hurt his nephews, freeing Lathai to do all he needed to without worrying. He continued on around the corner, then and only then allowing a hint of the pain he suffered show in his expression. Sliding his eyes closed, he pressed his hand to the wound in his side, admitting to himself he needed to visit a healer. He just didn’t have time, not yet, not until he knew Nylian would not be harassed or troubled in anyway. Determined to fulfill the promise he made to his sister, he pushed the pain down and forced himself to go on…when he heard an unusual chiming sound. Frowning slightly, Lathai tracked down the source, more than a little surprised and less than pleased to find a councilman walking down the hallway.
“What, pray tell, brings you here?” he demanded, Lathai more than prepared to remind the councilman of his place, especially if it turned out the man was there to check up on Nylian. Yes, the council ensured the royal family did not abuse their power or use their title to avoid justice. However, the castle was his home, the twins’ home, not a playground for the council. “Particularly to this floor of the castle.”

"..right."He said with a faint smile. No problem with a guard watching them even if it was Serena? That's were the two happened to have very different opinions,he did not want to be watched. Especially by the person that knew what he did earlier and agreed with his uncle. Yuke glanced back at his uncle as he walked off before looking around Nylain's new room. That's about the time he heard what his older brother had muttered softly. Yuke let a sad smile appeared on his pale face as he walked over to his brother. "Big brother.."He said softly grabbing his brother,"..you will never go back again. I promise, I won't let Yume take you back."Yuke had just gotten him back, and he wasn't going to let go.

With a loud chime of the decoration hanging from his collar he stopped. Once again a gloved hand pulled at the hood, so he had been caught. Undeniably his heart began to race, being caught wasn't a part of his plans at all. Slowly the person in the rooms faced Lathai. He looked at the apparent King in silence, he really didn't know what to say. After a few more minutes this was one of those times silence is golden moment. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other.

Nylian turned to his twin, sinking against him with a soft sigh. This…this was what Yume cheated him out of, what she denied him. Even if Yuke and he were several years apart in age, they were extremely close as children. That they were twins, deeply bonded twins, only served to make his time at Yume’s side torture. For that reason alone, Nylian would greedily accept any amount of affection he could get, needing to know he really was home, Yuke at his side. Resting his head on his twin’s shoulder, his eyes sliding his closed, he did exactly that, making no effort to pull away, deciding the bath and sleep could wait.
“I know,” Nylian whispered, never doubting his uncle and twin would fight for him, they’d fight to keep him safe at home, and free of Yume for the rest of his days. However, he’d said all he intended to about Yume and her twisted little pets, at least for the time being. He didn’t want to talk about any of that any more, not until he absolutely had to for whatever reason. “The guards never came back. Something tells me Uncle Lathai caught them, and if he did, I doubt we’ll ever see either of them again. So I’m guessing that means no baked goods until lunch.”
Lathai quirked an arrogant brow, his pale gaze locked on the councilman, his jaw ticking in mounting irritation. That continued silence…the man had really bad timing and an utter lack of common sense. For one thing, the castle, the main part of the castle was off grounds to the councilmen and anyone else unless otherwise invited. This was, after all, Yuke, Nylian, and Lathai’s home, not some public building where everyone could come and go as they pleased. For another, the council’s stated opinion about Nylian, their general feelings toward Lathai’s nephew taken into consideration, Lathai didn’t want any of them snooping about. Add to all of that his lack of patience and general irritation thanks to the deep wound in his side and…the councilman’s blatant disrespect and refusal to answer was ill-advised at best.
“I ask again…what are you doing here?” Lathai growled, taking a step toward the man, his violet eyes growing cold and hard. “Keep in mind, you’re trespassing and I’m in a bad mood, so I’d get to explaining yourself immediately, if not sooner. That is unless the thought of spending the night in the dungeon appeals to you.”

Yuke looked down at the floor, thinking. He didn't wasn't to think about what he and his brother talked about earlier, or what could have happened to Nylain.He was back,that was all that mattered, and that's all that should matter But,he kept thinking and wondering what could have been happened. For instance, what if Yume manged to break his older brother, his grip tightened around his brothers arm. If that had happened, and knowing that Yume wanted their uncle and Yuke dead, he shuddered. What if she had broken him and ordered his own brother to kill them for her. Such thoughts were enoguh to make those red eyes go a pale pink with fearful tears welding up in his eyes. He wasn't going to let that happen, Yume wasn't going to get Nylain back everagain.
Nylain speaking so suddenly caused the prince to jump. Quickly, in an effort to hide what he had been thinking and fearing, he steadied his breathing and thought happier thoughts. Of funny ones, like those guards that he had tormented earlier, he smiled at his brother,"I noticed. Hmm,we can always go now right?"He suggested. He glanced over his shoulder to the door behind him,it did seem fair. It was only fair that he finally got a baked good after all that had happened today. Granted sneaking his brother down to the dining hall could end up getting him into a bit more trouble.
'Let's see.'He thought,'first thing today, I ran out into the battle field and froze,. Which meant I could have died,strike one. Then I'm pretty sure that Uncle Lathai isn't to happy about the guards that lied to my face and used their feeble minds to my advantage,strike two. Now I'm thinking of sneaking my brother down to the dining hall to get food instead of letting Ny sleep.'He sighed,'Uncle Lathai is not going to be happy with me today,but it's worth it right?'Yuke thought.

At first, the only answer for the acting king was the decoration chiming together. Anything that came to the councilman's mind would reveal to much and he could end up getting sucked further into this mess. No, he shut his eyes tightly, he couldn't do this to his family. He had already been gone for a while,no doubt his mother and brother were fuming since he left without leaving a note. He just left one night. So right now, watching from a far and getting things to move faster was his plan to get home faster. Slowly his eyes opened back up, and he raised a arm, pointing at Lathai's side with a gloved finger. His pale eyes showed a bit when he looked up at Lathai.
"...you should have your wound healed..."He spoke softly with an odd accent, even so, he had a feeling that the acting king realize who he was. The one councilmen that helped this mans nephew get out of the dungeon, he had vouched for a child he didn't even know.
With a heavy sigh,his gloved hand tugged at the hood and he turned to walk off,but he didn't move. The councilman looked at the floor as a somber expression fell over his pale face. He tugged at the hood once again. This Lathai had fought for Prince Nylain, another victim of Yume, Yume Akuma Yin...only if he had known where she would end up...then maybe..just maybe this wouldn't have happened. A shudder passed through his skinny body and he pressed a hand against his chest. The guilt guilt felt like something pressing against his chest, crushing his sternum slowly suffocating him in the process. 'This is all your fault, that boy didn't have to suffer. It could have ended with you.'A voice taunted in the back of his mind.
"..you're wrong.."Whispered the councilman's whispered to himself.
Slowly he began walking forward, even the chimes seemed to be agreeing with that nagging voice. 'your fault, your fault', they seemed to scream in each chime. He could feel the stress building on his shoulders ,especially when he had stopped. A single tear slipped from one of his pale eyes. Guilt had fought it's was into his mind..and at the moment guilt was winning.

“We could,” Nylian agreed, actually looking forward to going to the hall and sitting down to a meal. He couldn’t remember the last time he actually behaved as a prince, sat at a table, and ate a meal according to the rules of decorum. With Yume, he avoided the hall at all cost, the dark entities possessing human bodies and their eating habits disgusting to say the least. Not even Yume took her meals in the hall, her dark pets and their utter lack of any hint of manners enough to make even the most barbaric, uncivilized soul sick. However, now that he was home, he wanted things to return to normal, to fall back to the life he loved. “I certainly won’t complain.”
He pulled away and looked up at Yuke then, noting the pale color of his twin’s eyes, knowing all too well the cause. “Don’t do that,” Nylian whispered softly, reaching up to wipe away the hint of tears he saw. “I’m home, Yuke, and I’m not going anywhere. I know the council and…likely the town, the people, and half the castle staff fears I’m little more than Yume’s puppet, but I’m not. Saying that doesn’t mean anything, no, actions speaking far louder. However, I swear to you, brother mine, I’m still me…I’m still your twin, your brother, and your best friend. So, please, let’s not waste our time looking back or worrying about what might be. All I want is to just spend every day with my family…and maybe enjoy a hot roll with sweet butter.”
Lathai couldn’t remember the last time he was so furious he was seconds from putting his fist through a wall, but there he was…fighting the rage building within him. The problem was that the councilman still refused to answer him, the man actually ignoring not only his question, but his warning, too. He realized who the man was, the very councilman who helped Lathai get Nylian out of the dungeon, the one who sided with him and fought for Nylian against the rest of the council. However, as grateful and Lathai was for that, he would have the answers he wanted, suddenly the councilman’s aid and motivation coming into question. Unfortunately for the evasive man, he just didn’t have the control he normally held over himself, the councilman right about one thing…Lathai needed to get to the healer. First, though, he needed to take care of his nephews.
Wounded or not, Lathai moved lightning fast, snagging the councilman and turning the man to face him, refusing to back down. The hood fell back, though, exposing a shockingly young youth standing before him in council robes. That gave him pause, his brow furrowing hard as he tried to understand what he saw before him. Even more confusing was the tear slipping down the youth’s pale skin. Why? Why would this young man cry at a time like this? He had no idea, but he recovered quickly, his priority to his nephews, his loyalty to his nephew.
“Let me assure you, councilman, I will not ask again, but I will have the answer…”

Yuke bit his lip,he thought that his eyes had fully changed, apparently not. Pale pink flooded into his once red eyes again. He really did need to keep his eyes under control then this could have been avoided. The younger twin shook his head,"..I know that.."He said,looking away,"..I guess,I was just wondering what if you didn't find you..what could have happened instead.."He trailed, gruesome and for him heart wrenching images flashed in his mind. Yuke exhaled a long sigh,"You really want that roll? Well, what are we waiting for?"Yuke asked his brother with a bright smile. What his mind had come up with wasn't something Nylain had to know about. He didn't want his older brother to worry about anything like that. Once again his a pale arm wrapped around Ny's bronze arm,and one pointing towards the door." Off we go to search for baked goods!"Yuke announced and started forward with his brother.
~~~~~
He felt his heart stop when Lathai had snagged him and the hood fell off revealing who was under the hood. A unnaturally pale teenage boy, his long black pony-tail smacked into his face and shoulder. His pale eyes widened in shock,he didn't expect that. Those pale blue eyes had distinct circles with golden and silver flecks in them were still brimmed with tears. Quickly,he wrenched himself out of Lathai's grip and stumbled back. '..busted..;He thought,furiously wiping his tears away,' and of all times to start crying.'The teenage boy thought once again.
He swallowed hard before looking up at this man,"..I wanted to know how he was doing."He manged to say evenly. He bit his lip again, his hands going to the things hanging from his collar, it was better then hearing them clash together. Slowly,his pale gaze fell to where Lathai had been stabbed.
Nylian smiled warmly despite the heaviness in his heart, nodding in agreement, and going where his brother led him…just like when they were young. He didn’t how the guard will feel about this, but she seemed to accept their decision to eat in the hall, the woman simply nodding in approval, doing nothing to stop them. She did, of course, remain with them, although the truth was Nylian didn’t mind. He knew…deep within, he knew Yume would never let him go so easily. She’d come for him and try to drag him back, the guard his uncle assigned to him giving him some sense of security. He just refused to admit as much to his twin, unwilling to worry or stress his brother anymore than he already was, to scare him anymore. Yuke was tried to protect him, to shelter him, but Nylian knew those pink eyes and hidden tears weren’t because Yuke was on top of the world and feeling invincible. No, Yuke was terrified this wasn’t over, and while he was right, Nylian would protect him as much as he could just as his brother protected him.
Lathai lost his hold on the youth, aware then that something was wrong. Of course, the fact he stumbled and almost fell flat on his face was rather telling, but he would not surrender, he would give up. The boys needed him and, so long as they did, he would do what he must no matter the cost to himself. Right now, that meant questioning this councilman, this youth who was far too young to even dream of sitting on that council of cantankerous vultures ready to pass judgment on anyone and everyone. In short, the youth’s statement that he wanted to know how Nylian was doing didn’t come across as innocent as it sounded. Ignoring the fine sheen of sweat coating his pale skin, he took a step toward the young man, stubbornly refusing to let the boy escape him until the youth answered his questions to his satisfaction.
“What do you mean you wanted to see how he’s doing? I swear to the gods above, if you people intend to shadow him, to deny Nylian a moment of peace…” he growled, taking another step toward the young man, in no way acknowledging the way the castle threatened to spin out from beneath him. “Who are you? You’re too damned young to sit on the council. And don’t play games with me. I warn you now, I’m in no damned mood!”
Lathai lost his hold on the youth, aware then that something was wrong. Of course, the fact he stumbled and almost fell flat on his face was rather telling, but he would not surrender, he would give up. The boys needed him and, so long as they did, he would do what he must no matter the cost to himself. Right now, that meant questioning this councilman, this youth who was far too young to even dream of sitting on that council of cantankerous vultures ready to pass judgment on anyone and everyone. In short, the youth’s statement that he wanted to know how Nylian was doing didn’t come across as innocent as it sounded. Ignoring the fine sheen of sweat coating his pale skin, he took a step toward the young man, stubbornly refusing to let the boy escape him until the youth answered his questions to his satisfaction.
Yuke glanced back at Serena,the woman that saved him earlier. He could tell that she so wanted to scold him for not thinking out there, but the female warrior kept watching the twins closer. Her mouth was clamped shut as she trailed the two, acting as though she was there shadow. Serena didn't feel like this would be the appropriate time to snap at the younger prince as much as that sounded like fun. She still couldn't believe this kid running out like that, they weren't training. It wasn't some game either!
Slowly,Yuke looked forward again. Every now and then flashes of that night would go through his mind, this happened often for him since the castle hadn't really changed. They just fixed a few things and that was it..the memory's were still there. The dried blood wedged into between brick and singed stone was hidden now. Yuke shook his head and quickened his pace, "Come on,I'm starving . And I'm sure you want to get to those baked goods well they're still fresh and hot."He said to his brother.
~~~~~
His pale blue eyes started to widen once again, he could see the blood seeping through the mans shirt. He needed help, and he needed help now! He would heal him with his own powers, but there was always a rebound for him healing others. He glanced at his arm,thinking about the gash like scars under the robe's sleeves, what good would it do to have another person bleeding everywhere?At first, he took a step back when Lathai stepped toward him, and then he did this again. He needed to stop moving or he was going to collapse!
Silence, an undeniable silence until the charms chimed together. He wasn't keen about saying his name, or why he was really here.

Nylian could feel the tension in Yuke, the dark memories they both suffered under relentlessly haunting them. He just refused to comment on it, thinking that right then…they needed to put all of that behind them and just enjoy the day. After all, if he learned one thing from his time with Yume, that was to enjoy the time he had. So, glancing back at the guard, smiling faintly, he turned and nodded in agreement once again. Admittedly, he wanted a fresh roll or piping hot slice of bread or a flakey pastry that melted in his mouth. Yes, Yume piled the baked goods on him when he was good, but they always tasted flat, sour, never comparing to what he’d grown up with, what he was about to enjoy now. Tightening his hold on Yuke’s arm, he matched his twin’s pace, his mouth watering in anticipation by the time they reached the hall.
“Fresh rolls. I can smell them,” he moaned, swearing he could make a meal out of the rolls alone. “Hmmm…actually, I’m thinking hot rolls, a bit of cheese, and a dab of butter…and I’ll be a happy boy.”
Lathai knew his breath came a little too fast, everything around him seeming so distant, so surreal. Swallowing hard, he slid his eyes closed and struggled to focus his mind, to manage at least this one task. Who this young man was…this was important, extremely important. He couldn’t say what made him feel that way, but he did. Unfortunately, the youth ignored him once again. No, not ignored, simply refused to answer. Lathai growled ominously, not accepting that refusal either, determined to get to the bottom of this mystery. Stepping closer, he pointed a warning finger at the imposter councilman, opening his mouth to demand an answer. He just couldn’t claim the sound that escaped him qualified as a word, but perhaps remembering what he intended to say would help. Lathai tried again, failing miserably, his brow furrowing in uncertainty.
Something is wrong…
He stiffened and took a step back, his pale gaze locked on the floor before him. What was he doing? Questioning the councilman, the one before him, the one who swayed back and forth in front of him. Lathai wanted to order the man to stop that infernal dancing, to stand still and explain him. Only Lathai suddenly seemed rather keen on slamming into the wall…or at least his body did. Grunting faintly, he blinked rapidly in a desperate effort to clear his vision, looking down to watch the stain of crimson spreading across his shirt. His frown deepening, he lifted his gaze to studying the councilman. How did the man suddenly grow so much taller than him? No, that wasn’t right, Lathai realizing he’d collapsed on the floor. Then…the world went black, his last conscious thoughts for his beloved nephews…and the promise he’d made his siter to protect them.

Yuke clearly wanted ti discard these thoughts himself, to forget the past as morbid and scarring as it was. His eyes started to become a vivid red again as he the thought of food once again shattered his thoughts of the past. He let out a chuckle as they walked toward the hall, this was the result of him not eating anything before heading into battle. He knew that he should have eaten something, but when he tried to eat it felt like everything was going to come right back up. Maybe, now that his nerves had settled, Yuke could eat peacefully and with his beloved brother.
"Ahah, well, you can have the rolls you want, just as long as you throw something else in there."Yuke laughed. His personal favorite was meat, funny since he was an elf but he still liked meat. Or cheese and fruit, that was good too. Oh, this thought of all this delicious food was making Yuke's rumble.
The boy noticed how the acting king swayed this way and that. He felt like telling him to stop, to sit down and rest before he hurt himself even further. However, he had no idea if Lathai would listen to him, he didn't earlier. His pale gaze went to his finger, he could see his body tremble from blood loss and exhaustion, and then looked up at the man standing before him. He didn't take a step back this time,it was like his feet were glued to the marble floor.
He then tilting his head a bit, he was watching the king closely now. Those pale eyes widened when he realized Lathai was slowly losing consciousness , this was not good! The boy some what ran forward in hopes of trying to keep him steady but he had already hit the wall. The teenage boy stopped in front of Lathai and knelt in front of him.
"..Why didn't you stop..how do you think you can protect them when your unconscious?"The child asked just before the other mans eyes lid shut.
A sudden pop, crack in the air caused him to shot up to his feet. Someone from another world was coming, quickly he pulled the hood over his head just in time for the air to crack open. There was a gust of wind, pulling anything near it in as a young woman stepped out of the portal. Her silky black hair whipped around her until the crack disappeared. She was pale, not any where near tall and pale. Once her black hair settled around her, hanging just below her ankles. Not a single tangle in sight. With a sigh she placed her hands on her hips and looked at the person cloaked, they were kneeling in front of someone. A young man, a sharp gasp came from her when she noticed the blood. He was hurt.
"Hey, what happened to him, is he going to be alright?"She asked the person wearing robes, no answer.
So she did second best, third would be her healing his wound on her own. "Hello!"She called, cupping her tiny hands around her mouth. "I need some help, someone please!"Said the woman as she began walking down the long corridor.

“I said I’d eat cheese,” Nylian countered with a faint chuckle, glad to see Yuki was beginning to escape the darkness of their past. He knew his brother was right, though. He needed more than just bread and cheese, but at that moment…it sounded so good. Delicious, actually. Ducking his head, smiling boyishly, he pulled away from his twin to sink down at the table, fond memories washing over him warm waves, happier times all that flitted through his mind. “Maybe a bit of meat. After all, rolls, cheese, and a bit of meat use to be one of my favorite snacks. I think I’ll be a decrepit old man barely able to get about the castle…and I’ll still drop everything for rolls, cheese, and meat.”
He stood stoically at his post, his back ramrod straight, his chin tipped back just a bit, his legs parted to strength his stance, his hands folded neatly at his back. He looked straight ahead, but remained completely aware of his surroundings. For that reason, he caught the cry for help, however faint. His head snapping to the left, he stared down the hallway, tilting his head faintly when he caught the rest of what was said. Without hesitation, the guard sprinted toward the woman calling out for help, skidding to a halt at the scene that unfolded before him. There stood a woman he did not know and, behind her, one of the councilman leaned over King Lathai, the latter seriously wounded. He turned and sounded the alarm, hurrying over to his unconscious king to pull his shirt up, noting the grievous wound received in battle and had not yet tended.
“You! Summon a healer!” he barked, scooping Lathai up and quickly heading for the king’s room. “Quickly! Go now! Summon the healer!”

Cheese, and rolls, he wasn't sure if that was a good enoguh meal for him. He then shrugged, why did he care, he wasn't Nylain's older brother or Uncle Lathai. He laughed again,"Cheese?"He echoed as he sat sown himself. For some reason this was really funny to him, maybe it was the way Ny was trying to defend himself. He then propped an elbow on the table as he eyed his older brother,"..and a little bit a of meat. Oh Ny, I missed you so mu-"He was cut off by the sudden sound of an alarm. Instantly Yuke shot up to his feet and went to go see what was happening, but someone stood in his way. Serena, their new personal guard wasn't letting them out of her sight, neither of them. This was her new job at the moment, and she was not going to fail anyone.
Yuke glanced back at his older brother, pink began flooding into his iris.What was going on, had Yume already come for his brother? His chest tightened with utter terror.
The woman spun around when she heard someone running toward her. Her pale blue eyes narrowed in curiosity, he wore armor, and acted much like a guard. Just where did she end up, she then sighed in relief that someone had heard her. The young woman didn't know whether or not this world knew about magic. One thing was for sure is that she wasn't willing to test that until she knew no one would freak out. Her pale eyes went from the guard now carrying Lathai,and then the person in robes. She watched them raise to their feet, unaware of the person under the hood breathing heavily.
Every blaring sound of the alarm felt like someone was right there screaming in his ears. He felt like covering his ears but feared that this would give him away. His pale gaze went to the guard when the woman walked over to him,'..mother..mom, why are you here?'He thought.
The mother of this child, or Lily reached up," I can heal him as long as you lower him for me."She had told the guard.

The smile teasing his elegant features faded with the deafening sound of the alarms, Nylian shooting to his feet just as quickly as Yuke. His guard, however, was faster, the woman stopping his brother before he went more than a couple of feet. Quickly moving to his twin’s side, Nylian slid his hand into Yuke’s, his golden gaze sweeping the hall, searching for any sign of dark entities. Nothing, not even the screams of terror and agony he’d come to expect when Yume and her pets were involved. All he heard, though, was the running feet and clank of armor as the guards bolted through the castle to face whatever emergency threatened them.
“Maybe…maybe we should return to my room,” he suggested softly, suddenly not quite as hungry…not even for rolls.
Eyeing the councilman and the unknown woman, the guard debated whether he dared trust her or not. Glancing at King Lathai, he realized he had no choice. He kneeled down before her, his dark gaze snapping to the woman in silent warning. He did not say anything, though, not even when the others arrived, signaling to them to stand aside while the young woman tended to their beloved king. Once Lathai’s wounds were tended to, then…then he’d see the young king to his room and discover just who the young woman was, not to mention why the councilman had not sounded the alarm. Nothing more than a guard or not, he knew his duty, where his loyalty lay, and he would not fail his king when Lathai needed him most.

"..okay."Yuke said softly. He squeezed his brothers hand, not to hardly, or at least he hoped that he hadn't. He let out a shaky breathe as he looked at Serena,"..Serena, can you take us back to Ny's room. Please?"He asked her, and blushed a bit. Yuke noticed how much he had sounded much younger than the 425-year-old-boy. The guard looked at one twin, and then the other. She then gave them a silent nod and took a step back. Her hand stayed near her sword,"Stay close."Serena told the twin princes.
Yuke glanced at his brother before following her into the halls and back to the room. Well they walked back to his brother room he kept his pale pink eyes on the floor, he didn't want to look up. Even when Serena had stopped beside Nylain's bedroom door, his head didn't move.
Lily, despite that look of warning, gave the solider a kind smile. Then she drew in a long deep breathe as she focused, her pale hands began to glow. Lily lifted her hands, letting them hover over the mans wound, he had this wound for a while now..so why hadn't he done anything to prevent anything like this. Once she had finished, Lily steeped back with a heavy sigh.
"..see, all better."Lily said to them.

Falling quiet, Nylian walked at Yuke’s side, his hand locked with his twin’s, his gaze lowered, worry and sorrow ruling over him. Not until they reached his room did he lift his head, but all that greeted him was the stress he felt reflected in his brother’s expression. “It’s not her,” he murmured softly, pulling away from his twin to walk over to the window. Looking outside, Nylian noted how calm everything was, the servants tending their daily duties, the guards watching over the castle, the villagers going on about their day. No, neither Yume nor her dark entities were about, no one and nothing that calm and peaceful in their presence. “I’m not sure what’s going on, but it’s not her.” Nylian looked back at his brother, guilt suddenly surging through him, the realization of what all of this had done to his twin hitting and hard. Yuke was scared…and this was his fault, he the reason Yume tormented their lives. “I’m sorry…”
“Come with me,” the guard ordered with a nod, rising to his full height and quickly making his way to King Lathai’s rooms. He didn’t have to look back to assure they followed, this unknown woman and the councilman, aware the other guards ensured his orders were obeyed. Walking as fast as he dared with the king in his arms, he soon settled Lathai on his bed, leaving it to the servants to clean the king up, removed his clothes, and dress him appropriately. He…he would never dare do such a thing to the king, but what he would do… The guard turned to the woman and the councilman, asking the question first and foremost on his mind. “What happened?”

Yuke shut the door when they got back to his room, the younger prince rested his head against the door. He hated that alarm,that stupid thing always made memory's come flooding back into his mind; and not the good kind. He knew that they had it for a good reason, now he just hoped that they had sounded the alarm off for a good reason. Yuke pushed hismelf off of the door and face his older twin, so it wasn't because of her. So much for a good reason,' He thought with an irritated but stressful sigh. He rubbed his temple, they really didn't need this, not now at least. Or maybe not for a while to come, but that was wishful thinking wasn't it? Yuke's attention went to Nylain the second he had said 'I'm sorry...',"..W-what? Why? You have no reason to apologize."Yuke told him, clearly confused.
Lily looked up at the guard and then the person in robes. Go with him? This was a castle, and she was technically trespassing. Quickly she looked over her shoulder, and then around the hall. Vincent, her teacher, had always told her to focus on the person you want to find. That person was her younger son, Leo, but she didn't see him any where. Her pale blue became thick with worry, grief and anger. Lily sighed, and then followed the solider and robed person with crossed arms and her gaze stuck on the marble floor. 'Great,' Lily thought. 'go to find someone and instead you find no one you want and get caught by a guard..' This was not what she expected, Lily just hoped that she wouldn't be here long.
It was the councilmen turn to sigh when they got to King Lathai's room. He glanced back at Lily, she did not look happy with any of this. There was no way he was going to blame her, in fact at the moment he was cruseing himself. This was his mother, she was right there so close. Although, after five years of missing, the guilt began welding up inside him again, how would she react. How would his brother react? How would the people in this world react, he was either seen as a child looking for answers, or a councilmen. Take the hood off and you would see who it really was,and with that in mind he rugged on the hood yet again when the solider spoke to them.
"..I don't reall-"The councilmen had cut Lily off before she could even finish her thought let alone speak it.
"He collapsed while talking to me, more like questioning me. He was wondering why I was here, I came to make sure Prince Nylain was alright. That he was safe and calm..unfortunately it seems like neither of them would be calm now after you pulled the alarm. You must know about that sight when they were 150, so in hopes to keep them perfectly content, so I refrained from pulling the alarm...but"He looked away, as if he was looking back at the door," I doubt that now.."
Lily slowly looked at the man in robes, those eyes narrowed. That voice, that manner of speaking; he was right there.

“Don’t I?” Nylian countered softly, clearing the distance between his brother and he, reaching up to brush his twin’s hair from his face. He never wanted to hurt his family, to become a burden, to be the reason they were forced to suffer…and yet that’s what he was, wasn’t he? Gods, he wished otherwise, but so long as Yume ruled over the Dark Kingdom, so long as she stood determined to conquer the Light Kingdom with him at her side…he was exactly that. He just didn’t have the strength to walk away and spare them, Nylian loving his family, needing them, and hoping they needed him. “You’re scared, afraid she’s coming for me…and she is, I guarantee you. This is all because of me…because of her and…I don’t know how to stop her, how to end her life. I’ve come home, but I don’t have any answers. I’m not even sure how much help I’ll be when facing her.”
The guard looked from the delicate lady to the hooded councilman, not really sure of what to make of all of that. Glancing over as a couple of servants rushed in to tend their liege, he pinned the councilman and the lady with narrowed eyes. What to do with them? He couldn’t be sure, his job to guard the castle and deal with threats, with trespassers. He couldn’t very well treat a councilman in such as way. As for the lady, for all the guard knew she was the king’s newest conquest, King Lathai known to be a man with a healthy appetite. She was certainly beautiful enough, yet she held a refinement the young king seemed to love. No, no matter how he looked at the situation, he didn’t dare act against either of them, but nor did he dare to let them go, not until the king awoke.
“Very well, but, as I have no way of verifying anything, you will both remain here until the king awakens and states otherwise,” he decided, checking to see how the servants were doing. Fortunately, they’d already stripped and changed him, situating him so that he rested comfortably. That presented a problem, though, the guard painfully aware he couldn’t very well leave them with the king when he was unconscious and helpless. Perhaps, though, there was a solution. Ordering a servant to summon the young princes, he turned back to the councilman and the lady. “I will be in the hallway, but the door will remain open and you will be stay where I can see you.” Satisfied he’d decided the right thing to do, he stalked out to the hallway, taking up a post where he could see the councilman and lady. “The young princes will be here soon.”
