So I'm curious to see how many RPs everyone has finished.

So far for me its only been three
I hope that goes up soon though.

...finished? An RP can be finished?

Well, okay... I guess I did manage to have one that reached completion a few years ago, but I had to run several characters at once to keep the one other player entertained... And I supposed there's also a scene that, though it comes out kinda open-ended if you cut it there, could maybe be considered a "finished" RP as it had relatively reasonably closure.

I can't think of any others that could be considered "finished" though, and that's out of a decade or so of RPing in various places. My experience has been a mix of "play until we lose too many players" and "bar" RPs.

In case that second sounds weird: it's a single thread set up like a bar, tavern, inn, cafe, etc, and people come and go as they please, and generally acknowledge or ignore others present as they please. So there's not even an overarching plot beyond what individuals set up themselves.

...actually, if anyone's interested, there's one I had awhile back that I could set up here on RPR.

Haha, I've probably only finished at most six. Or seven.

One-shot RPs are something I'm trying to get into, but I think, as people said, long-term roleplays are preferred. The problem is, depending on the plot and set up and how often the other person is online, long-term roleplays take forever.

Although when you get a fantastic RP partner, it becomes awesome and you dread wanting to finish it.

Man, I've had so many RPs that I don't think I can actually go through them mentally and make a list. I've started more scenes than I've ever finished, and I've finished maybe two story lines in the history of ever RPing; others have gone abandoned or are still continuing!

The longest one I ever did lasted 6 months, but it never had a conclusive ending, which is a shame. It was very fun!

2 years. 7 if you count the sequels. Usually with reasonably regular posting.

I think I was only involved in 5 or 6 years of that, though, and I believe there was at least a couple months between sequels.
