I tend to find that whenever I'm on, there are only a handful of RPs suggested in the 'find RP' area. Some of them don't necessarily catch everyone's interest, and I wonder how so many of you RP so much when I can barely find any RPs there?

Although it could be I'm just very shy, and so without the 'find RP "let me play with you!"' thing, it's a bit difficult for me to ask people to RP?

Do you guys have any suggestions on how I could get some more RP action?

I'm guessing that with the 'Find RP' feature, how many active role-plays show depends on the timezones of the characters (and therefore players) that are involved. So, the 'Find RP' games that show in the GMT timezone are probably different to those in the EST timezone, with some overlap depending on people's IRL schedules.

Well it shows people who have been on within the last ten minutes, so I assume there would be more?
Maybe people don't like suggesting RPs out in the open (which I get)

If you're shy, you could post in the "Looking for RP" area and let people speak up if they're interested in playing with you. You can also look through what's already there, and don't be afraid to speak up.

As many people and topics as this place has, I don't think many people are ever on at the same time, and I think most of the RP recruiting may be happening in that "Looking for RP" forum rather than the "Find RP" tool.

Novalyyn pretty much has the idea right there.

If you're not finding an idea that interests you, post one! "Looking for RP" is a great place to ask for people who are interested--and it helps too if you have a character already picked out with a few plot ideas for another person to choose from. That way they can pick the best character from their list to engage with yours. Edit: Make sure you post a good title to your post so people can know exactly what you're looking for!

The other thing is be patient and find ways to connect with other RPers. Hang out in the Small Talk chat and participate in the games' forum. You can also browse through people's character lists and if you see a character that intrigues you, send 'em a PM.
