I have learned most of my painting skills by messing around with painting limited palette stuff. Moki has done dozens of palette challenges, and I've assembled some of my favorites from assorted ones with their permission. I present to you a mostly vibrant palette challenge. If you use it, drop your art here in the thread so others can see!

I'll start us off! Here's an icon I did today in palette #17:

rolled 1d100 and got a natural 14.
This looks really cool! It's been years since I've done a palette challenge. Guess I'm gonna give it a shot.

These are all SO pretty I almost want to do one.
Almost everything I make uses a limited palette, either from doing Lospec daily challenges, or just because I only need a few colors. I might try one of these palettes too.
rolled 1d100 and got a natural 6.

You have such a beautiful painterly style. I can't wait to see what you do with #6. It's easily one of my favorite palettes in the whole spread tbh.
I need something to kick me out of a bleh mood
let's do this again
rolled 1d100 and got a natural 58.
I just sorta doodled this out without much thought and I've never done anything this small before, so it's not perfect but! Here it is.

I'd love advice on making something this small look sharper.
What the heck, rolling is fun and I could use a challenge.

First, omg this came out so lovely! I love how you used the palette on the eyes, too.

Secondly, I never draw that small, personally. My 95x95 icons are always drawn at 500x500, which is generally the smallest my canvas gets. When I paint stuff I intend to resize, I overemphasize contrast to make sure that shadows and highlights translate to the smaller size crisply. Here's a final icon vs. the big version prior to resize for comparison:

I find that trying to draw things small from the get go leaves them muddied because there's not much way to get any kind of sharp lines in there without using hard pixels. I hope this is maybe a little helpful! I'm not the best at explaining my process sometimes because I kind of autopilot it.
*has no idea what I'm doing*
rolled 1d100 and got a natural 37.

Ohhhh snap Galaxy-Star, that's super pretty! This might be kind of weirdly specific, but I also really really enjoy the shape of the eyes and how you did the lashes underneath.
I have no idea what I just did.
