Aoi pondered her thoughts and stayed quiet for a while before asking yet another question. "How did they build it in the canyon?" (Lol she's taken a liken to Dmitri I think) Aoi was obviously very curious seeing she had never really seen the outside world. All she knew was the slave world.

(Sorry I didn't reply sooner, usually the only times I can reply are during 2nd and 3rd block at school and sometimes at home....but today my phone died I was mortified lol again, sorry)

"I don't know... The part of the city that everyone lives in was built by the dwarves before they disappeared."

"Dwarves? Are those the really short people with a big bushy beard?" Asked Aoi...surprisingly talkative.

(She's asking a lot of questions sorry lol I don't exactly know what else to put other than her asking questions )

"What?" he laughed, "No, those don't exist. They really are just made up. The dwarves were just another kind of elf. But they were cruel and intelligent. They wanted to go above the gods."

(So does she have any common knowledge at all? Like who the Divines are, the different races and such?)

Aoi was a but surprised when Dmitri started laughing. Her face fell and her ears flattened back as she continued to look on ahead.

(She knows most of the races and she knows a little bit about the divines)

His laugh was a deep, hearty chuckle, a very warm and cheerful thing.
"So, Aoi... Why were you at the slave market?"

Aoi remained quiet for a moment then quietly replied saying. "I've been a slave since I was born.....I was told that my parents didn't want me."

"Oh..." he frowned and gave her a slight, affectionate nuzzle.
"Well... You don't have to worry about anything. I'll take care of you."

Aoi's face turned red as Dmitri nuzzled her. She didn't say anything else for a while.

"Do you want to stop in the next town for the night or continue until it actually gets dark and just camp?" he asked her softly.

"I...it doesn't mater to me". She replied. She started rubbing behind her ear again, a nervous habit of hers.

He nuzzled her hand as it touched her ears. "Then we'll just keep going. I'd like to get home as soon as I can. I've been away for a while."

Aoi jumped when Dmitri nuzzled her hand. Her face turned red and she quickly looked down. "A..alright"

That night, he stopped the horse and began setting up a tent then used a flame spell to light a fire and he sat down. "Come here, little one," he said and gently pulled Aoi into his lap in front of the fire.

Aoi stiffened for a moment when Dmitri pulled her into his lap, but slowly she started to relax a little bit. Soon her eyes started to close and she drifted off to sleep leaning up against Dmitri. A small smile formed on her lips as she fell asleep.

He smiled as she fell asleep and summoned a storm atronach to protect them over night.
In the morning he woke up to find that he was laying down and his arms were wrapped around Aoi.

Aoi rubbed her eyes in her sleep. Her ears twitched and she slowly opened her eyes. "Nyuu?" (Somthing she says when she wakes up.....I dunno lol, and sorry I didn't reply earlier.....I've been a bit sick this morning.)

He smiled softly at the young girl in his arms.
"Good morning, little one," he whispered and licked her cheek.
