The Plot

Billy begins in seasonal job as a life guard at the Hawkins Public pool in the summer of '83. Eddie had just came back to the small town of Hawkins that summer after having been forced to move away in '81. He still hadn't graduated that year, and was frustrated by it. Eddie heads to the pool to try and cool off since he had made quite a bit of money from selling weed. He needed to cool off, especially since his parents had left him to now live with his uncle. As Eddie is swimming in the pool, Billy can't help but keep his eyes off of the older male. He didn't know why but he found him a bit attractive. Though he also knew that he was considered a freak, and Billy's friend group would shun him if they ever found out that he was hanging out with a school freak. Eddie had the feeling someone was watching him, but everytime he went to look Billy would look away.

The next day Billy gets into a really bad encounter with his father. He overheard one of his sister's friends talking about how Eddie sold weed, and Billy thought he could use some of it. He figured out where Eddie lived, and he headed over that way. He knocked on the trailer door that Eddie's uncle lived in. Eddie was still passed out, and Wayne (Eddie's Uncle) hadn't gone to work yet. He was inbetween working a double shift. Billy explained who he was, and Wayne told him that he wasn't awake yet and to possibly check by later. Billy sighed but obeyed as he left and headed off to start his shift at the pool.
